Do not waste your time! I reached out to this company and they confirmed they could come the same day. Great, right? Wrong. They cancelled. No problem, things happen -- so I gave them the benefit of the doubt and rescheduled for Monday at 11am. Monday morning rolls around, and they cancel again. No urgency and no effort to make it right quickly. Instead, they asked me to wait an entire additional week. That is two last-minute cancellations, zero follow-through, and a complete disregard for my time. Running a household means scheduling matters. I blocked off time, made arrangements, and was let down -- twice. Consistency and reliability are the bare minimum for any service provider. This company couldn't deliver either. I'm giving Pink Sponge 4 stars for my recent experience. While $255/month is a bit pricey and the staff consistency can vary, Frankie was fantastic this time around. She did an incredible job on the details, she even cleaned the baseboards and was careful to put everything back where it belonged. The kitchen (sink and counters), bathroom (toilet, tub, and fan), and all the rooms (including ceiling fans) are spotless. If the service was always this high-quality, it would easily be 5 stars. During a particularly difficult season for me, they were a huge help -- not just cleaning, but helping me work through piles and reset my space. That support meant more than they probably realized. I hired Pink Sponge for a deep clean of my 1,000 sq ft condo and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. 1. Miscommunication from the Start I reached out via text and requested a deep clean, including walls, baseboards, and the garage. However, when the cleaner arrived, she was under the impression that only the walls, baseboards, and garage were expected. Because of this miscommunication, she spent the first 20 minutes on the phone with her office trying to clarify the scope. Eventually, I told her to just start the job, and that if she needed more time, I would be open to adding extra hour. 2. Understaffed and Poor Value Maybe it's just me, but in my experience, cleaning crews usually come in pairs -- especially when charging by the hour. In this case, only one person was sent, and I was not informed ahead of time. I later learned that if they had sent two people, the price would have doubled -- again, not communicated upfront. Also, that would mean paying almost $600 for a 1000sq ft condo?! 3. Unacceptable Quality of Work By the 2.5-hour mark, she claimed to have finished cleaning the kitchen, two bedrooms, and two bathrooms, yet none of the rooms were vacuumed or mopped, and many surfaces were still dirty. I'll be uploading photo evidence of the work that was left undone. When I asked she said bedrooms surfaces are not wiped and no vacuum, so in reality at this point she has only half way done with 2 bathrooms and kitchen What stood out even more was that, during my inspection, I noticed the door frames were untouched, even though I had specifically told her in the beginning that I wanted all doors wiped down. When I pointed it out, she responded (I'm quoting her exact words)-- "I have to be told to clean that." Then she asked, "So do you want me to clean it?" -- it was frustrating that something so basic had to be requested again after I had already stated it. 4. No Resolution from the Office I reached out to the office with a detailed explanation of what went wrong and sent photos showing the issues. At first, I was told a refund request would be submitted on my behalf. But after a few emails back and forth, they stopped responding entirely -- no follow-up, no accountability, and no resolution. 5. Unprofessional On-Site Experience The cleaner took a lunch break at 11:30am., just 2.5 hours into a three-hour job that started at 9:00 a.m. I understand that W-2 employees may be required to take breaks, but I was hiring a crew for a project, not managing an employee's shift. What felt unprofessional was that she left the house for 30 minutes, with all her tools and equipment left scattered throughout, with only 30 minutes of working time left. It disrupted the momentum of the job and didn't reflect the professionalism I expected. I understand that running a small business is not easy. That's why I didn't post this review right away. I gave the company a chance to resolve it. I explained everything in detail over the phone, provided photos, and was very clear about why I was disappointed. At the end of the day, all I wanted was a response. If they believe this is the level of service they stand behind and that charging $267 was fair, I accept that -- and I have the right to share my experience publicly. But if they believe a refund is appropriate based on the actual quality of the work, then they should have taken actions and at least communicated with me. read more

The owner personally visited my home and quoted $510 for 3 hr job that should take no more than 4 hours with 2 professional cleaners. Instead, it took 8 hours, disrupting my workday. One worker was professional and did most of the work, while the second seemed inexperienced, so the results were really good/satisfactory, not stellar -- I even stepped in to clean my own stovetop burners when the newer worker struggled. While the owner did honor the rate, she reminded me it was "an estimate." I had agreed to 2 cleaners because a single worker from this company previously took over 8 hours, so I expected 2 professionals to finish in half the time. I would never have agreed to an open-ended job at $150/hour. Overall, the workers did a good job, but one was pretty tired . Not a good fit for o. We had fallen very behind on deep cleaning the bathroom and the kitchen because of our work schedules, and we always love seeing the pink beetles around town, so we called up Pink Sponge. We had a phone call and an appointment scheduled quickly (they walked us through our options and we knew it would be a major job to scrub our disgusting stovetop, so we chose a custom deep cleaning). Jannis arrived and got right to work after we showed her what we needed done and the tools we hoped would help her cut through an extremely gross amount of grease. She worked tirelessly for HOURS and when she was done, our bathroom and kitchen were cleaner than we have ever seen them! It is true that Pink Sponge is probably a bit more expensive than an unlicensed cleaner, but we found the rates to be very reasonable and we support living wages for employees (not to mention Jannis did a better job than any individual cleaner we've ever hired previously). It was my first time ever using a cleaning service to help clean my house before an event, so I was a little nervous and didn't know what to expect. Communication with Jennifer was easy. She booked my appointment, explained the process, and emailed me a checklist to help prioritize what was more important for me to have cleaned. I was told I would have the cleaner for 3 hours, she may or may not be able to get through everything in that time frame, but we would do walk through at the end and I would know then if she wasn't able to get to something. The cleaner (can't remember her name) showed up on time and got right to work. She ended up getting to EVERYTHING on my list and then some. I was mostly in my backyard doing yard work to be out of her way, and as the 3 hour mark approached, I went inside to be available for the walk through only to find that she had already left. No walk through, just a note on my dining table. I figured maybe since she got to everything she didn't need to, but I was under the impression that it would happen regardless. I was very pleased with how she left everything so sparkly and spotless, particularly in my kitchen and bathrooms. It wasn't until later that evening that I noticed my microwave had a crack on the vent that wasn't there before and coincidentally it was not functioning. Mind you, I had warmed up my coffee earlier that morning so my microwave was in working condition earlier before the cleaner showed up. I understand accidents happen and the cleaner may or may not have realized, so I reached out to Jennifer and I was impressed by the customer service I received. She worked with me right away to try to make it right and kept in contact with me until we got the microwave repaired. She was so great to work with and I'm very thankful. We paid for the 3 hour service in a three bed room town home. We ended up with still misc stuff in the carpet the vacuum did not pick up. Counter tops still had debris on top even though they were requested to be cleaned off. Cabinets and drawers in kitchen weren't touched. Bryan was sent and did a beautiful job in around 3 hours. This was supposed to be a one time cleaning until I needed another deep cleaning. I liked the results so much that I inquired about regular cleaning. Jennifer came for a walk through and to quote a price. It's cheaper if you become a regular customer. I decided to go for once a month cleaning. I have been very satisfied with this service and would highly recommend them. I was very specific about where and what I wanted clean in my request. Pink sponge arrived on the date as expected and on time. Rebecca introduced herself and asked where the locations were which I had previously designated. She went right to work. A couple hours later she advised she was done. I inspected her work and was surprisingly pleased at the quality of her work. On top of that it was noticeable that the company used great products which cleaned areas very well. It pains me to write a one star review for a small business. However, this company is completely devoid of any quality work and is not capable of providing even adequate customer service. I met Judy, and she provided me the initial consultation. She was so warm and friendly, and assured me that they take pride in providing quality work. She showed me the checklist system, so the employees that work for the company will not miss some thing. However, it seemed to be a trend of always missing some thing. My first clean was a deep clean, and was actually pretty decent. The one startling issue I had with that time, was that the gal cleaning the house pushed my alarm and triggered it - which would have had to be intentional because you have to press down the button for a certain amount of time. Sandie called me and I had to give my alarm code to my home to a stranger. Just because someone is inside cleaning my home, does not mean that I want them to have my alarm code. That was slightly weird. When I got home, they missed the fridge clean which was provided as an extra with the initial clean. I paid a fortune for the deep clean despite having a clean home and being complimented on it. Of course, I was upset after paying so much and not getting what was promised. I tried to reach someone at Pink Sponge about this, and it took over a week to have anyone get back to me. All of a sudden, the person that you could text and call regarding service wouldn't respond to any messages. When you were paying almost double the initial cost, you would think that they would not miss anything. Especially, something that big. They assured me that they would do it the next time, and thoroughly apologized. THEN, they did not provide that fridge clean the next THREE times. After the first clean, they also failed to mop and sweep my floors and left hair on the floors ...every single time. I texted them pictures, and would not get a response. All I was asking for was them to just clean. I'm not walking around with a white glove, I just see that they did not even clean that area of the bathroom. Why would I pay someone to come clean my house if they did not even clean? I knew something was fishy when my ring camera would go off and I noticed that they were in and out of the house in about an hour and 40 minutes. It was always different girls, and twice, they couldnt find the hide a key when there was a box that said key in my mailbox. I got several calls while I was at work asking me about this. It was in the same spot, every single time. Upon further cleanings, they would miss dusting, taking out trash, you name it. They never cleaned my mirrors in my rooms. The last time they came, they did not even vacuum. Really? Initially, I was dealing with Sandi, then the new manager Jennifer blamed bad management prior and that they were working on things. It escalated to a point, that Judy had to come out with another gal and clean for two hours after one clean because of the fact that so much was missed. She apologized and it was apparent that she knew that the work was not being done. In terms of communication; every time I would call, it was almost impossible to reach Jennifer the manager. I was told that she was on jobs and was busy, and that she would call me, only to not hear from her for several days. Then, I get a text message asking why I have not been able to be reached. I looked at my phone, and had zero calls from them AND no voicemails. So I asked them to please call me or I would call them. Once I called after not hearing back, I was assured that Jennifer would call me and she did not. Then, the gal called me back and asked if she could call at 6:30 at night. No, I'm sorry but why should I be inconvenienced when the company is not providing quality service? A manager should take five minutes to call a customer that is obviously upset. I shouldn't have to go to great lengths to make this right. I was perfectly kind and understanding each time they missed the mark. I explained to Jennifer kindly on the phone, that I just want them to actually clean the house. I hired a service because I needed the help around the house. Why would I pay $169 every two weeks for someone to come over here and not do their job? When you have one of the managers come back and clean with assistance for that long, how can it not dawn on them that perhaps they are hiring staff that do not want to actually clean? I make their job easy. I pick up everything off the floor, I even find myself cleaning up a bit before they come. I don't leave anything on the counters, I just wanted them to perform as promised. I've asked multiple times for at least a refund of my last payment for cleaning. I have never received the services that I was promised. That was on a Friday, and I was assured by Jennifer that she would be in the office Monday and would respond to me. Here we are, on Wednesday, nothing. read more

I reached out to Pink Sponge to clean my downstairs area, starting with the kitchen. I was lucky enough to get Cheyenne & Jannis who had quite a bit of neglect to deal with in the kitchen. They both worked together on the kitchen and showed strong dedication to cleaning areas I didn't think could actually be improved, taking time to hand wash dishes, scrub counters and cabinets extra well, and show us how nice the kitchen can be. The communication was also very well done from the workers, the e-mail, and my phone conversations. They are very clear on their times they will show up policy, payment policy, and I've even made a new appointment they've been great about.
