I have come to Pink on numerous occasions (hair color, cut, and extensions). Most recently I was in the salon for extensions and I am blown away by how amazing and wonderful the whole process was. Now, prepare yourself, NBR extensions are a labor of love and they take time, but 1000% worth it. I've worn clip-ins before, but I've never had extensions that were so well blended AND I can still wear my hair in a ponytail! Tried to communicate with the stylist I was so excited to see on her business FB messenger -she never even read my messages. Giving the benefit of a doubt, I resent the messages several days and weeks later to no avail. I've never struggled this much to make a hair appointment. I'm new to the area and had great hopes but I guess I'll never know. I did get in touch over the phone just enough to make the appointment, but then decided to cancel the appointment that had finally been set because I really just didn't feel welcome (and wanted to at least discuss what I was having done prior to arrival). It took several tries and messages just to make sure my cancellation had been noted in good time by the salon and stylist because I wanted to make sure she could fill my spot...but they still were not checking messages. I got through on the phone at last. I chose the messenger route because they said themselves on FB and in the auto reply that they were very responsive there. I recently decided to conquer a lifetime of irrational fear with the help of Pink the Beauty Boutique. I got my hair cut. Sixteen inches of it to be exact, which was then donated to Pantene Beautiful Lengths which works directly with the National Cancer Society to create wigs for women battling the big C. Let me explain why this haircut is such a big deal for me. When I was about five, I fell asleep simultaneously chewing gum and watching cartoons. When I woke up, the gum had migrated from my mouth to my hair and made itself a sticky new home. I tried to pull it out and when that didn't work, I grabbed a pair of Minnie Mouse scissors and literally took matters into my own hands. (Every little girl ends up cutting her hair our of curiosity or catastrophe at some point or another, right?) I still remember the woman who was supposed to fix it and give me a happy hair ending at some random salon 25 years ago. Her name was Angie and she was chubby and had long, brown, crimpy, permed hair and super bangs in all of their late 80s/early 90s glory. I begged her to cut as little as possible as I watched her in the mirror, listening not to me but into a spirally-corded phone that was jammed in between her right ear and shoulder. Well I ended up with the worst haircut in the history of haircuts. I didn't hate my hair, my hair hated me. I was emotionally and irrationally attached to my hair for the better part of three decades. On New Year's Eve, I showed Kristen a few pics of the new, shorter style I wanted and she didn't let me down! In fact, I love it! It's lighter and bouncier and makes me feel happier. Donating the hair-formerly-known-as-security-blanket turned out to be a literal weight off my shoulders. It's the most amazing feeling when you can help yourself and help others at the same time. This means I have to get haircuts more often to maintain my new, shorter 'do so I'll definitely be back! read more

My experience with Pink Salon has been nothing but terrible, and I haven't even sat in a salon chair yet! I recently moved to Inman, SC by way of MN. After looking for a new salon, and based on recommendations via FB and Yelp, I tried to make an appointment for a haircut. It's been 3 weeks, 3 voicemail messages along with Facebook messages and I have yet to hear from someone. I was running errands today, Saturday, November 24, and thought I would just stop in and schedule an appointment. When I walked in, I wasn't greeted by anyone on staff. Everyone was busy with clients so I took a seat to wait for a stylist to be done and check someone out. Ten minutes later, a stylist approached the desk to check-out her client. I stood right in front of her at the desk - and she completely ignored me. She didn't say a word, got up from the desk, went around me and back to her station to sweep up hair. I looked at her and said "can I make an appointment" totally ignoring me again. I couldn't believe this was actually happening. I have worked my entire career in customer service roles and I know how people should be treated. This was poor customer service, to say the least!! I have never been treated so beastly. It was as if I had walked in with an infectious disease. I do not recommend this salon based solely on how they treat people. read more

Chemically burned my scalp with bleach (clear yellow oozing and tiny spots which bled) bc she had overbooked herself and left it sitting longer than it should've- thankfully my doctor gave me some antibiotics for the infection and creams for the burns. She said "well I was just trying to fit you in" but do everyone a favor and don't if you're gonna rush and do a bad job; she left it almost dripping wet bc she didn't have time to dry or style it (again, if you know it's going to take long, book me for a longer appt) but charged me the same as always. Didn't really tone it and it's still super yellow, then to top it off broke the cap to my developer when giving it back to me and it spilled all over my car. Worst experience I've ever had at a salon and I'll never ever be back. SO unprofessional and really didn't seem to care about my experience as a client. read more

I put off getting a cut so I came in with tired old hair that reached the middle of my back. I wanted a change, I told Savannah L. (formally of Palmetto Style Salon) to chop it off and highlight it (I have dark brown hair). I gave her a rough description of what I wanted and it turned out fabulous! It is exactly what I wanted! I will definitely have Savannah do all my cutting, lightening and dying in the future. Also she is fun to talk to and super sweet! read more

Had a great experience here. This was my first time and I got put with Hannah, a recent grad, which I have to admit made me pretty nervous; I shouldn't have been. My color came out looking fabulous, and it still looks decent after several weeks. (Longer than I should be going but things happen and I haven't been able to get back in) I took my 7 year old here 2 weeks ago to have her hair cut as well and they were terrific with her. Bambi did her cut and was super patient, listened to what we both wanted, and we both walked away super happy. I got an appointment for me the next day, and my daughter within an hour, so they are super accommodating that way, as well. I've told everyone who asks about my color to go here, they won't be disappointed. read more

I love this salon! The staff, the decor, are all awesome! I especially love my hair color and cut that Morgan Kirby gave me! She was super friendly and listened to what I wanted and delivered right on time! Most stylist want to cut way too much hair off when they see my long hair... Not Morgan, I actually had to ask her to cut a little more off! Very refreshing for me. Super excited to see what hair color she chooses for me on my next appointment! I just had my haircut today and must let others know that this is the place to go to when you are in Santa Maria. Jenni, who did my awesome haircut, just took her endless time to make my hair gorgeous and beautiful. I will definitely come back and ask for her if I am in the area. I currently live in West LA and for sure will drive all the way to Pink Blossom to see her. You should, too! And, the price is so reasonable for the meticulous haircut she spent with me. I went in for cut and color. They are very nice people my color was great the cut was beautiful and they even layered my hair to make it lighter, and strighten it. They really take there time with your hair but they are not overly slow or anything.Very clean place as well.I was done in about 2 hours. Is a little more pricey than my old salon but worth it. All together with my 10 dollar tip I payed 85. I will go back again. read more

I came here over Christmas break when I decided I was just done with my longish, unruly, shapeless hair. I walked in and Amanda was able to help me almost immediately. I had no idea what I wanted, except that I wanted it shorter. I gave Amanda free reign on my hair and, suffice it to say, I walked out with the best haircut of my life. She showed me how to style my hair, and so far I've had amazing success duplicating what she showed me and my hair has looked fantastic ever since. She also touched up my roots and fixed my color just enough that it looked so much better. Her mother even fixed my makeup and I walked out feeling so beautiful. Amanda loves hair and knows hair and her love and skill were just so evident in everything she did. I cannot recommend this salon highly enough and I know I'll be going back to her for the foreseeable future. read more
