Service was superb and the food and drinks come out pretty fast once you place the order. The decorations and vibes were really cute! The host was also the waiter and the bartender but was on top of his game .The coconut mojito mocktail wasn't sparkly so it kind of threw me off but it was still refreshing. The star players were the samosa and garlic naan and roti!! Don't get me wrong I loved my lamb rogan josh but starting off with samosa is THE WAY TO GO. I wasn't the biggest fan of my husbands lamb pasanda but that doesn't mean don't get because he devoured it all.

It has taken me a minute to do this review because I never want to speak ill of a business but my experience was one I haven't quite had. On 12/27/25, I went on break from my part time and realized this place was open. I really enjoy Indian cuisine so I had been waiting to try this place. I called my children and told them to meet me after work so that we could share this experience. My son does not like spicy food at all. I asked how spicy the butter chicken was and was told that it was not spicy. When it arrived to the table it was too spicy for the spice lover (my daughter). It was almost unbearable how hot this food was. They brought us yogurt to cook it down and that was a minimal fix. The portions were all small and wasn't what we were used to. So this definitely isn't a family share restaurant. Everyone will need to order for themselves. The food was decent. I really have no complaints. However, the complaint comes in when it was time to pay. I had preferred to pay in cash and am a firm believer in tipping but I also believe that tipping is at the patrons discretion. Our bill came to a little over $60 but all I had was 20's. I gave them $80 and the waiter walked over and told me to have a nice day. I said you owe approximately $16. He went to the register where another person was standing, came back and stated they only had enough cash to give me $5. I was appalled. I asked them why not have a sign that says card only. I also asked him that if that was the case why not come over and explain that instead of telling me to have a nice day as if the change did not belong to me. Why not explain that only $5 was available and offer me the $5 before I inquired about my change. I explained to him that I had every intention on tipping some if not all of the change but the opportunity should've been given to me as tip is not included. After overhearing me telling my daughter as we were leaving that this would be included in a yelp review, they miraculously came up with the change. I'm not sure how and I honestly don't care. I accepted my change and will never patronize this establishment again. I can not and will not recommend this place to anyone.

I was craving fish from Pink Saffron so made my way back on a cold Friday evening. The place was busy and my friend and I were lucky to snag a table. I just love the decor here. The fish lights hanging from the ceiling are my favorite! The food never disappoints. It was so good! This time around we ordered the Tawa Pompfret, Khasta Samosa, Dum Biryani, and Tandoori Biscuit and everything was so delicious. Those Khasta Samosas will do it every time!!! There are just so many complex flavors bursting in your mouth. The thing that absolutely surprised me this trip were the Tandoori biscuits. The Tandoori biscuits are sooooo good. It's not your typical biscuit. It's more in the shape of naan slices and is savory and sweet. I don't know what I was expecting but biting into the biscuit was divine and dangerous. The order came with 4 pieces and I could have had 10 more. I love that the food doesn't take forever to come out. The service is always friendly and they are always happy to answer any questions. Pink Saffron continues to be a solid choice for me!

Pink Saffron is absolutely beautiful, from the food to the decor. The atmosphere is welcoming and warm. The food is absolutely delicious, while everything was full of flavor.. the star of the show for me was the tandoori biscuits!!! I know, so simple and yet sooo delicious, somewhere between a warm hug and comfort food! The samosas were also a close second, a definite must try appetizer for the table. The chef was very nice and came out to the table to introduce himself and welcome us in. He was open to talking with us and even shared how special the tandoori biscuits are to him and his childhood. Excited to be back to try other recommended dishes!

Overall this is a great addition to Pentagon Row. This complex has struggled with to maintain quality offerings for years and I think it's finally hitting the right note with Pink Saffron. Pros: The food was definitely some of the best I have had in the immediate area. Pentagon City has been a weird mix of tourist traps, mediocre overpriced restaurants and dated chains. This really was a breath fresh air. The food was fresh (clearly cooked to order) and very flavorful. In addition the menu has a range of offerings and prices are fair. We ordered chicken tika masala, samosas, naan, avial and nawabi kofta. Everything at the table was a hit. I think the samosas (which I unfortunately forgot to get a photo of) were the favorite--they tasted much fresher than I usually get and had this amazing rich creamy sauce that really enhanced the flavor. All of the other dishes also had rich, flavorful sauces that really made them stand out. Cons: The only con was that I didn't love the service here. We were one for only two tables in the restaurant and yet we had to wait at least 20 minutes to order. The staff also wouldn't let us sit at a booth near the window because they were reserved for parties of 6 (there were 3 of us). But again, we were one of two tables--it was a really slow Wednesday afternoon. Instead they tried to set us in a uncomfortable spot right next to the other party in the restaurant. We eventually got a table that worked, but it was just pretty awkward given how empty the place was. Overall, they just never seemed that enthusiastic about us as customers.

We have been here twice since they opened and they know what they're doing! We got the battashe/pani puri, naan, and murg jafrani spicy. The battashe was great, well seasoned, fresh and crispy. The curry was delicious as well, the spice level is pretty accurate. Medium has a kick and spicy is definitely spicy. The second time we opted for roti, mango lassi, biryani, vegetable kolhapuri, and samosas. Biryani we got medium spicy and it was definitely spicer than expected but so much food! Rice was light and fluffy. The vegetable kolhapuri had cauliflower, carrots, mini corn, and green beans and was well spiced with good heat. Samosas were a standout, definitely get these. Overall the service was good, although there is only one front of house staff at the moment so when the place filled up a bit, it was a little slow but we didn't mind! They are still in soft opening so I expect more people once they have their full opening.

The Pink Saffron is a brand new and most welcome addition to Pentagon City dining options. It is located in the space which was formerly Bun'd Up. The space is unrecognizable (that is a very good thing). Decor is lovely, seating is quite comfortable with booths and comfy table seating. The service is welcoming, efficient and helpful. The food! Oh my goodness....we started with the Samosas which were bursting with marvelous flavors and textures. We then shared the Tawa Pompfret - this dish is a show stopper - the presentation alone is worthy of a review. A whole fish, cooked beautifully and served on a platter with salad, beautifully cooked onions, cardamom spiced rice and refreshing mint sauce on the side. The flavors are delicate and complement one another beautifully . Pink Saffron is a treasure, we plan to return again quite soon to sample their curries which sound amazing.

Food was delicious! We ordered the butter chicken and lamb. Service was good, nice holiday decorations. I'd definitely return!

A new place to eat in the Arlington area and I highly recommend it. We saw this place and had to try it. It is a cute small restaurant and the service is really fast. We orders two curry's that had chicken with the spice level medium and it still had a good kick and also a yogurt dip to share. We will definitely be coming back here.

Pink Saffron delivers on every front. The food was excellent, with deep flavor and proper balance of spices. I ordered the "Indian spice" level, and it was legitimately spicy without overpowering the dish. Service was attentive and efficient, and the ambiance was comfortable and well-paced for a relaxed meal. Prices were reasonable for the quality and portion size. At this point, this is my favorite Indian restaurant in Northern Virginia. Consistently good food, no gimmicks, and well executed.

Kashmiri Lamb Rogan Josh, Chicken Nawabi Curry, Dal Makhani, Garlic Naan

Stoked an Indian restaurant opened up close by. And man was it good. Ordered dal mahkani, which was up there w Dishoom (IYKYK) chicken nawabi curry which was different, creamy w cashews. Delicious as well. And the star was the lamb Rogan Josh. Wife, who doesn't like lamb that much, absolutely loved it the most. Garlic naan incredible as well. Glad this place opened up. Will be back. Many more times.

There is a flight of steps to climb before entering the to-go area so persons need ADA accommodations may find it difficult to access. The parking was also not ideal for customers in the tiny lot space allocated in front of the restaurant. The bar area was very clean and felt modern offering a decent street view down Eads. I did not view the downstairs main dining area unfortunately. The service was swift and efficient. The bartender/server was able to receive my order and deliver it to the chef for preparation. As suggested the food was ready in ten minutes. I ordered the butter chicken and lamb tikka marsala with a side of roti and a side of garlic naan. On the receipt the butter chicken was labeled as tikka but it was butter chicken. The roti was not bad though I preferred the naan more. The garlic naan lived up to its name and was packed with minced garlic mainly toward the center or the bread. It was quite tasty and paired really well with the lamb tikka marsala. The butter chicken was good offering tender marinated chicken breast covered in the smooth and creamy sauce. The lamb was similarly prepared offering a deeper robust flavor and higher spice level. Granted I wasn't asked spice level for either dish. Considering both dishes were ticketed as a tikka I inferred the difference between butter chicken and chicken tikka could be the added spice. Either way both dishes were very good and well portioned giving the clear advantage to the lamb. No photos of the food since it was packaged to-go and not highlighting their creativity with the plating. Overall 3.8 out of 5

Standouts were the palak chaat and mint paratha. The palak chaat was the most well-balanced dish that satisfied every part of the flavor wheel: crispy spinach fritters, some tang from the yogurt and tamarind, sweetness from the date, and a lovely savoriness. The mint paratha was wonderfully flaky and herbaceous. The other dishes were good, but not particularly exciting. For desserts, we had the mango rasmalai and gulab jamun. Generally love ordering gulab jamun whenever I can, and it really hit the spot. The cardamom ice cream was the perfect pairing for it.
