My mother entrusted Dr. La with her care during one of the most difficult times of her life. As her family, we repeatedly felt that there was a lack of urgency in treating her disease. We experienced delays, prolonged waiting, and what we perceived as a reluctance to pursue more aggressive treatment despite the seriousness of her condition. Watching someone you love decline while feeling that more could have been done is heartbreaking. We understand that medicine cannot guarantee outcomes, and we know not every patient can be saved. However, we were left with the overwhelming feeling that opportunities were missed and that precious time was lost. Our family will always wonder whether acting sooner or taking a more aggressive approach could have given our mother more time. Those unanswered questions have made an already devastating loss even more painful. Both births were completely unmedicated, peaceful, and empowering. I wasn't afraid--I actually enjoyed the experience. Alisha is incredibly warm, kind, and grounded. Her presence alone is calming, and she was always able to soothe any fears or anxieties I had. I even called her while in labor, and she guided me through breathing techniques that helped me stay centered. With my first, I arrived at the hospital already 9 centimeters dilated after laboring at home most of the day. It was a beautiful experience. My husband took the class with me, which was so helpful. Dr. Rahm is not an overly busy practice where you have to wait forever and can't get an appt. His practice is nestled with 3 other private practice docs in montrose. The office is nice the staff is friendly, the technology is present. I loved the decor and peacefulness of the office and the staff. He was bright, friendly and knowledgable. The reason we left our other Doctor was we didn't have a great communication cycle with her and she was always rushed even though she did not have a very busy practice. Also she was never on time. She used too many clinical words with us and I could tell it wasn't due to the fact that I am a Doctor but because that is just how she operates. I think it is important to communicate with a patient using regular language and Dr. Rahm did just that. Having only had one experience with Dr. Rahm and it being for a wellness check up of my healthy baby, I can't comment on his diagnostic skills but the feel of the office, friendliness of the staff and friendliness of the doctor were all there. It is nice to have someone about our same age and in our same area to go to. I guess I can say since he told my wife our baby is well and she is doing a good job as a mom, it is money well spent.
