(Closed Wed.) Walk-ins are welcomed. This is a clean salon-- neon green in color w/ approx 8 Pedicure massage chairs & 4 Maincure cubicles. (Plastic liners are used in the foot basins.) Staff is masked & there is plexiglass around the Manicure area. (Customers may choose to go maskless.) It's a full service salon that offers Manicures; Pedicures; & Waxing, as well as Nail Art. Unfortunately, @ this time the salon's wepage has expired so I'm unable to provide a full list of services & pricing. I have stopped in twice-- once w/ a scheduled appt for Christmas Eve day & the other as a weekday walk-in. On both occasions, fashionable "Michelle" handled my gel nails. I paid $58 for the initial set (white w/ sparkles-- see pic) & $38 for fill-ins (Oak Bluff-- see pic). Michelle did EXCELLENT WORK both times. She worked steadily & had an eye for detail-- overall, she definitely gave me the BEST NAILS-- shape, length, application of polish, cuticles, filing, etc. Every nail was uniform, as was the polish. (No other salon saw me walk out w/ ten uniformed nails.) Michelle wasn't warm & fuzzy (she may be shy?), but that wasn't a concern of mine-- I just wanted to walk out w/ excellent nails, which I did:) The only reason I removed half a star is due to the language barrier. I expected two polish colors on my first visit & a flower design on my thumbs on the second, yet the requests weren't received. (Thankfully, my nails nevertheless looked great:) Upon a subsequent visit (& I will return), I will ask Michelle (or any staffer I am using) to repeat my request so I know it has been received & understood. They remembered everything; asking how my family was doing, work, my kids, etc. It was surprising how much they remembered after not seeing them for such a long time and it was definitely a good feeling. They really have great customer service, forming a personal bond with their clients and taking interest in their lives. Plus they do a great job on my nails! I was recounting my terrible manicures to my hair stylist & she recommended K nails. It's always the mark of a good salon when hair stylists choose to patronize it. Great customer service, they were able to squeeze me in on short notice & the prices were reasonable. At my visit, tHey were running a few minutes late, but were quick to check in with me & let me know. (Other places have left me waiting for over an hour while they took walk-ins ahead of me who had an appointment). She examined a cracked nail & shrugged it off like of course I can fix it whereas other places just cut me off with "we don't do nail repair." She repaired it so well that even I can't tell. And when I explained that I wanted square round nails, that's exactly what she did. It sounds really basic but for some reason, salons in this area have invariably cut off my long natural nails almost down to the quick & then given me very square nails that crack at the corners every time! I also showed her how my two week old french mani from the last salon had somehow turned very yellow. She said that they had seen it happen too--it was a supply chain issue with the manufacturer & that K nails had reacted to customer complaints & sourced a different product. She also did an extra gel topcoat as an extra measure at no charge. She also told me that if they turned yellow to please come back & she would redo them for free. I finally left a manicure with a smile on my face. There's nothing worse than paying a lot of money for a service that you hate, especially when it's supposed to be an indulgence to escape the stresses of life for an hour. I'm so glad my search is over!!
