I didn't want to give him another dime, so I went to pick up the ring. When I got it back he had somehow managed to completely crack through where one of the soder lines was before, but not cracked all the way through. The piece is sapphires and diamonds and actually a skilled jeweler knows you don't have to laser sapphires and diamonds. The problem is they don't have a skilled jeweler. They have the owner's son with about three weeks of training. Having said they were sending out to be lasered, it's pretty clear "Junior" used it as a practice piece, because it was so bad, I am now having it redone at Tilden Ross, a real jeweler.
