I went in looking for a common itch/burn cream for my (healed) skin graft donor site because I CANNOT sleep well due to the itchiness. The pharmacist said he seriously could not help me because he didn't know anything about skin grafts. I showed him the almost healed site and explained I normally put vaseline or lotion on it and it's basically just like road rash, that the doctors have okayed it for anything ("treat it like normal skin")- and that my dad used burn cream on his skin grafts to stop the itching. He just insisted he couldn't help. My boyfriend wasn't too pleased with him but I tried to understand that perhaps the pharmacist just felt uncomfortable. Other times I've gone to put prescriptions in I'm given an ETA for pickup and it isnt quite ready. Not always, but certainly a few times. Otherwise, I love the little post office there. Straight forward, easily accessible. The rest of the store is all right, gets you what you need especially if you're stopping in after grocery store hours.

Recently, on the same day…read moremy wife had surgery, I dropped off her prescription right after picking her up from the hospital, as her surgeon advised she needed the medication urgently. I completed the usual process, answered the questions, and signed as requested. At no point was I informed that ID would be required for pick-up. When I returned later the same day to pick up the medication, the person at the counter--who introduced herself as the owner--refused to give it to me without my wife's ID or direct confirmation from her. I explained that she was recovering, unable to speak, and in urgent need of the medication. I reminded her that no one had mentioned any ID requirement earlier. Despite this, she was unwilling to make any exception or show flexibility. I ended up canceling and going to another Shoppers Drug Mart in Port Moody, where the staff were understanding, helpful, and provided the medication without any issues--all on the same day. I truly appreciate the kindness I received there, but I was deeply disappointed by the rigid and inconsiderate treatment at Shoppers Drug Mart on St. Johns Street in Port Moody, especially given the circumstances and the urgency of the situation.

Although I have found recently that they don't always necessarily mark things correctly, especially when there's a price change or sales price. For example, I was recently there to pick up paper towel and noticed everything on the paper towel/toilet paper rack had the regular price marked. However, when I went to do a price check on the one I wanted, it actually showed up on the scanner at a sale price, which means the staff hadn't marked it on the shelf to sale price. So do keep this in mind going in to the store.

I decided on purchasing an 'Omron brand' unit, and Walmart Pharmacy had one of their latest models -- the '10 Series Upper Arm' -- and I went for it. The unit has more features than I need, or will likely ever use, but after trying it, its basic features are 'on the mark', and what I wanted -- a good-viewing monitor unit, easy to use, and very well-fitting arm cuff, and an AC adapter included. I am happy I chose Walmart Pharmacy, and believe the product choice will serve me well.

After she took the paper work and entered it into the system she she talked past me to the customer behind me!! She never told me when the prescription would be ready for pick up!! The box of cookies was delivered to 'me' (= my lady & I) a couple of days ago, along with several other neat treats (like ice cream & bananas, a selection of cheeses, and the like). When I went in to pick up the meds, had to wait another 15 more minutes & they wanted to me to pay for something that is covered by the government incentive program. To add insult to injury, they only gave me 1/3 of my prescription so had to go back another time to pick up the rest for which I cannot pick up elsewhere so had to go back one LAST time when the rest becomes available. Very disappointing experience & will never use this store again.

Their regular 'large' eggs, which were really large, and priced at $2.49 / dozen, a good value -- as was their 1 kg jar of their 'generic' brand of peanut butter. A first-time stop for us - mostly just to look and check out the store. A nice grocery-related catch while there!
