Last summer, I was told I needed to replace my HVAC system before this summer because it uses R-22. Naturally, that was stressful and felt like a huge unexpected expense. When Will came out, he carefully inspected the system and then walked me through the facts. He explained that as long as the unit is working properly, there's no need to replace it just because it uses R-22. He also clarified that refrigerant doesn't need to be added unless there's a leak (contrary to what I had previously been told about it needing regular refills). At no point did he try to upsell me or pressure me into replacing something that still works. Instead, he focused on what was actually necessary and in my best interest. That level of integrity is rare and incredibly appreciated. It's clear he genuinely cares about his customers and values doing the right thing over making a quick sale. We forgot to service our air conditioner or furnace last year. My husband booked service and they arrived on time, before he got to the house. They rang my door and socially distanced near the van to speak with me. It was a quick service outside and they grabbed my hose to clean it off. I was happy to hear the sealant they placed on our hose was intact and our freon was at a high level (we had a slow leak, that stuff is expensive!). Even though ours is an older unit they told me it was in good shape and they can get parts for it. **note: another contractor once told us we couldn't and insisted on a full replacement. The son came inside with his face covered and walked downstairs with me to check out the furnace and replace my filter. I appreciated him explaining the best frequency for filter changes and his reassurance our system looked good. **note: I've had three other contractors by the house during the last two weeks. He is the only one that wore a face covering and socially distanced. It was noticed. When my husband arrived they filled him in on what they'd discussed with me and answered his questions. They also remembered details about our move to the new house, where we'd lived, a job loss for my husband back then. Impressive, they're taking good notes. He was able to snake the drain so that it flowed. The problem was I did not have enough people to be filling an upstairs sink and have someone to observe the plumber, He and is trainee, STOLE from Me, a Brighton leather and silver carry on and a tote bag, plus my standard carry on bag to add my DeWalt jig saw which many extra blades, my Dremel kit with all the accessories,, my lifetime collection of hole saws, and I can not be sure what else. When Management was informant they supported the thief. But they did lower the charge to what I was originally quoted.
