It's your typical convenience store (and open while under construction) but it has a nice kids park behind it and it's in beautiful Pine Valley. When we walked in some firefighters were chatting up the cashier but the cashier helped us right away. We needed an Adventure Pass because we wanted to take a hike to shed some post Thanksgiving pounds. The cashier kindly asked if we needed a second pass for $5 more and we did. Quick service and it looks like they've got the typical plus a deli and pizza.

Nice liquor selection. Take a flask if you are hiking in the winter cold!

For those who don't know, this is basically the last gas station before Borrego Springs, or your last chance before hitting I-8 near Alpine (unless you wait for Viejas). Because of how remote it is, yes, the gas is pricey--but that's to be expected out here. Now let's talk about the real highlight: the store itself. I went in to grab an energy drink and a sandwich (which, by the way, they have a surprisingly great selection of both), and ended up witnessing what can only be described as pure chaos. There was an older gentleman ahead of me having trouble with his credit card, and the clerk seemed a little unsure of how to handle it. While I was waiting in the quickly growing line of people, a group pulled up in a Jaguar yelling, and suddenly a heavy-set woman waked from the car in the store and started rushing around and yelling "RAT"--next thing you know, she's knocking things off shelves, pushing through people, yelling "KILL IT!" while everyone else is trying to figure out what's going on. Meanwhile, some man from that same car is yelling about a "Habibi" across the room to what looked like the manager or owner. And keep in mind--the store is pretty small, so this all felt even more crazy. On a practical note: I wouldn't recommend trying to squeeze a large RV in here, although it is possible if you use the outer pumps near the road. Also, expect lines for gas, especially during busy tourist times--it's a popular stop for a reason. Overall, it's a great place with everything you need, plus a little unexpected entertainment. Definitely worth the stop--just be ready for anything!

What makes this local business extra special is how the owner wanted to create a safe work place for those with special needs. His inspiration, his daughter! This is the kinda news feed that I wanna see and hear! As soon as you walk in, you will see a ceiling to floor wall dedicated to Grace, the oldest daughter and Pizzabilities mission statement. We figured since that batch of winter rains have cleared up- it was time to jump on our motorcycles for a sunny Sunday cruise. Plenty of tables & chairs outside. But- we enjoyed hanging inside this time around. We were greeted by staff and it took a few minutes for the rest of my group to figure out what they want. I like how the menu options aren't overwhelming. You can pick from their pizza selection or create your own! From reading Yelp & Google reviews- plenty of people raved about the pizza crust. Although my order was the Caesar Salad & chicken wings... I knew hubby was gonna order pizza. :D As I was placing my order at the counter- I couldn't resist Cheesy Bread. The plate of cheesy bread came first- and whoaaa! It was like an order of pizza, but with cheese! I knew there was no way in heck I was gonna finish that! I had the smallest piece & insisted my friends grab a slice! I had no space on my motorcycle to haul leftovers! The Caesar Salad was delicious! And a huge serving. And the wings! Oh My Lanta! These weren't janky lil chicken wings! The were meaty and the breading wasn't too thick. The buffalo sauce just clung onto the wings. I was using my fork to rip the meat from the chicken bones to use in my salad. Being so careful to not lose grip of the wing! Plenty of TVs mounted- and thank goodness all of them did not put sports games on! One had Nickelodeon, the other had a retro movie- was it Dennis the Menace? Super chill vibe inside and guess what?!! Gift cards are ava

This time, I chose the specialty BBQ pizza, which was delicious. That said, next time I'm definitely customizing it!
