Pine tent on a busy Memorial Day weekend. Bar is covered seating and there's more outdoor patio and grass seating

Pine & Tent is located inside the Costanoa campgrounds. Great option for food and drinks for those staying at Costanoa. The beauty of glamping at Costanoa was having the option to pop in and out of Pine and Tent for coffee and breakfast before heading out for our hikes or trek to the beach, and also coming back here for food once we returned hungry and tired from our hikes. This place was the casual spot for food and drinks compared to the other Cascade restaurant at Costanoa. They also have a small bar so they have mixed drinks, beer, and wine. Although this was the casual option, prices were still pretty moderate but we expected that since it's food for glampers. Food I had from here during my weekend stay: - Big and Little Basin Burritos. These were delicious breakfast burritos containing eggs, bacon, and potatoes. They're actually the same size although the names are big/little. I learned that the difference is actually the spice levels, the big basin will additionally have bell peppers and other ingredients whereas the little basin burrito is simplified in ingredients and doesn't have spice. - Avocado, arugula, and zucchini biscuit sandwich. I had this for breakfast before a hike and it was delicious and a lighter option compared to the breakfast burritos. - Spaghetti and meatballs. The meatballs were good but unfortunately my pasta noodles were a bit harder than I would have liked. Taste overall was good and I liked the sauce, just the pasta seemed undercooked. - Caesar salad. Simple and standard. The way they cut the romaine lettuce vertically was interesting. - BBQ chicken pizza. This was pretty good and it came out piping hot. - pretzel with cheese. Pretzel was a lot bigger than I expected and this was a nice filling appetizer. - my partner also had the chicken sandwich and enjoyed that as well. I saw several kids enjoying cut up fruit and soft serve icecream cones that looked super good.

Pizza freshly made with crushed tomato sauce. 3 stars

Pine tent Fun casual spot at the costanoa property to hang out and get some food and drinks. 3.5 stars Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5 Open tableable: no, show up and order at counter place Return worthiness: yes Highlights: - Awesome meet up spot on the property: big lawn for kids to run around and 2 corn hole set ups - Seating: tables on the deck and on the lawn - Entertainment: Saturday afternoon to early evening a band played which was fun. - Variety of food: sandwiches, ribs, pizza and vegetarian options - Drinks: a combo of non alcoholic refreshments like sparkling cucumber water, canned cocktails, wine, and beer. - Pizza: good size to share for 2, freshly made, and thin crust. Sauce tasted more like a crushed tomato pasta sauce than pizza but was fine. 3 stars Lowlights: - Caprese artichoke purée sandwich: was excited about the concept especially in artichoke land. Unfortunate it tasted extremely bitter and wouldn't determine if that was coming from the arugula, mozzarella, or the artichoke but was very odd and off putting. 2 stars - I heard raves about the breakfast burrito but we never made it there in time for breakfast. Our go to meet up spot to chill with our friends in the afternoon.

Great pizza at this campground store. Also has lots of drinks, soft serve i e cream. Get it to go and carry it back to your site or sit at one of the many open tables. Live music on the Sat afternoon that we were here. Fun time.

Really good , my onion rings were cooked perfectly, my partner had the California club with fries! Both were served on house baked sliced sourdough. Super tasty sandwiches and refreshing draft beef and mimosa . We sat inside but they have a beautiful outdoor area with ocean view . We stopped at the bakery on our way out ! I fair to take a photo of the most amazing Apricot Danish that was so amazing, we also got a strawberry croissant that was absolutely delightful. We are all ready planning on going back! Service was fast and friendly! ! We will definitely be back !

They got me at chilaquiles. So hard to pass them up on a menu. I was a little disappointed when I got my plate, however, mostly because the serving size of the star of the dish, the chilaquiles, seemed small for this dish. They come with a "side" of beans, which I expected to be in its own bowl, but they were not, and took up most of the plate. No big deal. And they were very good. As were the chilaquiles. Tart and not-to-spicy green sauce that covered the thick and crispy-soft tortilla chips. The eggs were perfectly cooked over-easy and I popped one right on top of the chips so the yolk would spill down. I was happy despite the size. W ordered the portabello sandwich, which comes with blue cheese. He expected it to be served on their home-baked bread, but it was served on a soft brioche bun (the menu is unclear on this point). He didn't like the sandwich at all. Said it tasted like it was basted in butter. Since he had only a couple of bites, I swapped with him so he'd have enough food. I thought the sandwich was good, but think the blue cheese was a bit strong. Maybe that's why he didn't like it. The side salad was nothing to write home about, and seemed like they used bottled balsamic vinaigrette. It had the thick texture from a bottle. Service was just ok. Barely got a smile out of our server. So, knocked a star off for that. And average meal, knocked another star. Ambiance is nice. If I were only reviewing the baked goods, five stars!

Everything was find at first and then they started seating people outside. The door was wide open to allow people to come and go. However, it was very cold outside and our table was near that door. We asked the staff to keep the door closed and they closed it most of the way, but blocked it open with a door stop. This still allowed a cold breeze to come right at our table. My wife's food got cold and she was feeling cold. The staff said that they could do nothing as the door automatically locks. The door was a standard push bar to open. These doors have a mechanism that can be used to unlock the door; however the staff either did not know how their door worked or were unwilling to even try to unlock it. So we were cold and ate cold food. The food itself was good. My wife enjoyed (until they got cold due to the wind) her Lumberjack pancakes with bananas and berries ($11.99) and a side of bacon ($5.99). I had a delicious side order of Linguica ($5.99) with a side of two eggs over easy ($4.99). They should really warn people before seating them by the back door on a cold day when they intend to use the outdoor tables.

As we walked up I noticed that the parking lot was empty, next door was a bakery and their parking lot was full. " why am I mentioning that, Read on?" I ordered a El Pastor burrito and my friend ordered a Carnitas burrito. While we waited we indulge ourselves at their free coffee bar, which had, not just coffee, but all kinds of coffee syrups that you could add to your drink, for free!!! We were given warm chips and salsa while we waited for our food, I got to say that they were very "YOU-ME" There is a nice outside patio area and on the inside they have a decorated Aztec/Mexican seemed decor. "See pictures" Ok now for the really good part, the burritos. We each were served a burrito with two sauces, one red and one green. "As always the green sauce tastes the best ;-) " The burritos were piping hot and the tortillas tasted like they were warmed on a skillet. The burrito tasted freakishly amazing!!! it had a perfect amount of blended rice, beans, meat, etc. honestly it's one of the best burritos I've had in a long, long time. Bottom line... the service was good, the food was good, the atmosphere was good, and their prices are spot on IMO. If you're in the area "avoid the busyness next-door and stop in here instead" trust me you will not be disappointed.
