I love the doctors here. The medical assistants are great as well. Hard to find good pediatricians in the area and that's why I've stayed with this office. But the front desk receptionist/staff could use a class or two on customer service. Every time I call, it feels like I'm an inconvenience for her. I dislike her tone/attitude and just sets the mood for the entire appointment or phone call. Like others mentioned, you can stand there starring and there is no acknowledgement. I understand if you're on the phone, and can't put the phone down to talk to me (common sense). A simple smile or hand gesture to say it will be a minute would suffice and go a long way. I truly love the drs at pine pediatric. They are friendly and attentive to the patient needs. I have to say though, that the receptionist at the front is so rude. I always feel like she ignores me and does not want to be there. She is short with me and doesn't answer all of my questions. I hope they change her soon or I will consider going elsewhere. read more

I was excited to bring my newborn to Pine. In a 2 week time period I ended up having to bring my baby 3 times to this office. So this is based on 3 experiences. Pros: the office is small Cons: I waited a minimum of 45 mins to get called back, the longest was an hour half. Then I had to wait in the actual room. The ladies at the front desk told me the delay was that they only have 2 newborn rooms. The women in front are rude. I got charged $150 dollars to cancel an appointment when I switched pediatricians. I never saw a doctor. I saw a PA that decided to send me and my newborn to the hospital without even having the doctor who was there look at my baby. It was for a white sore in his mouth. The pa had my fiancé leave the room and ask if I had herpes. It was almost comical. So we took him to the hospital and they ran a million tests for a the tiny sore and guess what it was a blister from sucking my flat nipples. Mind you I had a home birth and the pa was not happy about that. My midwife told me immediately before the hospital what the sore was just from a photo. So the following day after the hospital visit I went back for the follow up. She told me all he results were normal and gave my son the routine physical. To my surprise lol she couldn't find a ball. Although the day before with her and the hospital he had both balls. So she wanted me to go to get him an ultra sound to make sure he had both balls. (I paid out of pocket for all this because my sons insurance didn't kick in for 2 weeks) and then come for another follow up. What a scam. This place was a total joke. I changed to Visalia Medical Clinic and have had a way better experience there. read more

Pros: -Dr Randolph is wonderful! I always request her for physicals and anything else I feel is more important (beyond colds). She really takes her time to listen to my concerns and is great with my kids. I have one child with autism and Dr Randolph will ask about his therapy providers to get feedback for any other parents that may ask. She is truly the main reason I stay. -The medical assistants are all great too. Always very friendly. -My kids have only seen Dr David Sine a couple of times and he had a good bedside manner and was very informative. Cons: -The guy who does authorizations is HORRIBLE!! Almost every time my kids have been referred to specialists, I've had to make multiple calls because of issues on his end. I'm understanding about mistakes being made, but I shouldn't have to call him to straighten things out practically every time. -We've seen Dr Kealani Sine a couple of times. She always seems like she's in a rush to get on to the next patient. I don't feel like my concerns are heard with her. -I'm not sure if she is there any longer, but I agree with all the other reviews about the receptionist. Very rude and has even made my cry from frustration after dealing with her over the phone (about a referral issue). I explained a referral issue with Dr and she said she'd look into it. She called me shortly after my appointment and told me if things didn't get resolved I could call and speak with her. Things were not resolved, so I called the office and the receptionist refused to let me speak to the Dr. - It's hard to get an appointment when my kids are sick and I usually have to take them to urgent care. read more

I would give this place zero stars if I could. We just moved in the area and my son needed to be see somewhere, so our insurance suggested this place. I called to schedule an appointment. Rita is very unprofessional and rude. She made it seem like she didn't care about my son being seen. She just said it needs to be "approved and we aren't accepting new patients till February" DID NOT care of what my son had or was going through or help me find other ways to get him medical care in the meantime. Like they don't want us as patients, we guess what we don't want you as a health care facility. NEVER in my life has any health care office, clinic, etc has ever made us feel so unwanted. This is a blessing in disguise, because if the one who answers the phones represents how my kids will be treated, I'll just take my business elsewhere. read more

A Nurse practitioner was very pushy about breastfeeding. Ppl are entitled to their opinions and I understand when people encourage you through tough moments but her stance on me starting to bottle feed came across as her shaming me. Baby was healthy and fine on weight and nutrition but still kept on pushing me to breastfeeding and the whole appointment felt like her lecturing me. I had tried and I was just one of the mothers that breastfeeding just didn't work out for. I never saw the doctor due to the 2 appointments I had encountering this type of pushback. I'm sure it's a great practice but some of the staff at the desk wasn't nice to my husband in person and over the phone. This lead to us switching to another local pediatrician. So this is a heads up for first time moms or parents who are seeking service and help that isn't patronizing and leaving you feeling discouraged even though you're trying your absolute best. read more

I love the doctors here at this office! But, their front staff is rude, not helpful and makes no attempt and providing any type of customer service. Any time I have had to call regarding any issue, it was pretty much a waste of my time! And really it's 2020 and no one in the office can receive a scanned document via email? The Sines are the best pediatricians around! Although their receptionist could use some customer service training it does not alter my feelings towards these wonderful doctors and their medical assistants. They are both very knowledgeable and Dr. Kaelanj is the sweetest. My daughter has many health conditions and she has been great with referrals and getting us to the specialists we need. She even calls to check up on my daughter. I can't imagine going anywhere else, they always accommodate my daughter because she's a special case. Thank you so much! read more

I absolutely adore the doctors my children have been going there for 9 years. But the office help specifically Shawna is awful! I know it's hard to find good employees these days but she is truly a bad reflection on this establishment. There have been several times we have gone in and been ignored. They don't take into consideration when scheduling appointments when you have two children and need them to be seen on the same day they act as if you can just come in whenever. They treat you like your stupid when you explain you need your kids to be seen on same day because you are taking time off of work to get them to the appointment in the first place. Shawna kindness goes a long way and you could use some training on how to treat the public this is an establishment for children I can only imagine how you treat them! Down right rude! read more

5 years ago, my OB recommended the Sine's, because they were willing to do an alternative vaccine schedule. I took my son here about 3 times over the last 5 years and had no issue. HOWEVER, my second son was just born (I'm literally writing this from my Kaweah hospital room) and a rep/Dr. from Pine Street pediatrics was on call and evaluated my newborn. I told her that planned for Pine Street to be my new son's pediatrician as well. She informed me that Pine Street Pediatrics would refuse to see my son if I didn't do all the recommended vaccinations when the doctors told me to. She was extremely rude and treated me like some uneducated moron (I'm an attorney). I told her that I would need to find a different pediatrician. She then attempted to threaten and scare me by telling me SIX TIMES that the hospital would not release my son from the hospital unless I had a pediatrician appointment on calendar for him a week after the release. I told her I obviously was not going to be able to have time to research new pediatricians right now, while I'm recovering from a c-section and in the hospital, that I did not believe the hospital would hold my baby hostage (he had absolutely no health concerns) and that if need be, we would sign waiver. She said, "I don't think you need to be that drastic", and then preoceeded to repeat AGAIN how the hospital would not release my child to be discharged without a pediatrician appointment. When I didn't just cower to her, she left in a huff, pushed my son toward me in the cart without even handing him back to me, and stormed out. Both my mother and mother-in-law were in the room during all of this. We were all stunned. read more

I am having seconds thoughts about having my kids to come to this office. The doctors are great . And it makes me so upset that hey have such a rude receptionist. They need to get rid of her she is so rude and she has no clue what customer service is. Next time I am in the room with the doctors I am going to tell them directly how rude there receptionist is . They charge $100 for a missed appointment and that is a ridiculous amount to charge. Sometimes life happens, and it happened to me on top of my phone deleting important appointment dates.. I understand a fee, and I regret that I caused any inconvenience and wasted an app time, but $100?! To some of us that is a huge chunk of our check.. I won't be using them for my daughters care from here on, and I'm not that mad about it since the the reception and staff weren't that friendly at all, the staff all look mad to be there. read more

First and foremost, let me be clear, I never leave yelp reviews, but I felt compelled to do so in this case. Overall, my experience with the medical staff at Pine Street was positive, I felt my daughter was in good care each of the three times we visited before moving out of town. However, the front desk staff is very condescending, and will talk down to you. For example, I had to reschedule an appointment one day and, when I called to explain that we were moving out of the area, it was assumed that I couldn't afford to have my daughter taken care of, not that I actually needed to reschedule, and I was recommended to the local clinic where my daughter could receive care at a lower cost. For this reason alone, I am glad to be moving on to a new pediatricians office. read more

We've been so happy with the doctors and nurses here. They're truly caring and attentive to us and our daughter. Ana, one of the nurses, always takes a few moments to console our daughter when she cries after getting her shots and that goes a long way with me, especially since it's a routine part of her job but she makes us feel so important to her. With that being said, the receptionist at the front desk is incredibly rude, condescending and disrespectful. She makes you feel like you're putting her out to do her job. After a recent appointment while we were standing at the front window to schedule another wellness check, she looked at us and continued about gathering papers, moving paper clips, tore up some paper and threw it away, walked around to a few places, did something on her computer and then asked us if we needed assistance. I've heard her be disrespectful and argumentative with other patients and I know I'm not the only one to feel this way. It's extremely frustrating and if we weren't so pleased with our doctors and medical staff here, we'd go elsewhere in a heartbeat. read more

Dr David Sine is exceptional in the service and attention he provides to my special needs son. Dr is always available and will go above and beyond what is expected of a doctor. He makes me feel as if my son is his only patient. Dr. Sine shows the equal amount of interest in my sons health as I do. My son's emergencies are treated as such and Dr. advice for care has always been the right one. That level of care and interest from this doctor is unmatchable. I am beyond happy with the care my children receive at Pinestreet Pediatrics, and would never take my children elsewhere. read more
