I read about the Hiker trailers online, and did a number of searches to try and determine the used…read moremarket (I.e., folks looking to get rid of recent purchases or excess inventory) and found it to be a very tight market. So I set up a visit to the place (1 of 2) where the build them. I was skeptical. Hiker trailers fit in that too good to be tru category. Looks like a great product at a great price. My initial contact with Megan was professional and efficient, and we set up the appointment. When we arrived, a little late due to traffic, we were greeted by Megan and Brian. Megan was on the phone with another customer and also busy with her daughter, who obviously runs the place. Brian gave us a tour of their facility, told us about the company and showed us the trailers. We were lucky because there were several trailers ready for pickup and we were able to see different models and options, discuss preferences, and imagine ourselves in a Hiker trailer, well away from the maddening crowds. Hikers are not for folks who go camping to watch TV in their trailer, though they can be configured for that as well. Hikers are well thought out, well built, and the type of trailer that makes camping, exploring, getting away both easy and fun. Configured in a way that lets you decide how you plan to enjoy yourself, it was easy to see myself camping next to a waterway or on the side of a mountain road. Personal stories about products can be very compelling, and Brian has a very compelling story. But I'll let you ask him about it when you go to visit. I don't have my Hiker (yet), though I know so much more know and that was my goal. When compared with some of the other teardrop trailers on the market, the Hiker checks all the boxes including some I hadn't considered for my visit. So if your looking for place to stay on your next adventure or just happen to be in the area, call Hiker and take a visit. I believe you will be very happy you did. Getting to their shop is easy and there is plenty of parking. The shop spaces are very clean. A small business that does business right!

I saw a new Sure Trac Trailer with a Midway Trailer Sales sticker on it. Looked them up. They had just what I wanted and were better priced than other dealers, even further away. Easy transaction, made deposit by phone. Went up Saturday and Brandon breezed through the paper work. Had Seth help set up the trailer for our truck as this was our first gooseneck. We found that the factory ramps obscured the rear tail lights. Seth immediately suggested a fix, got it approved in minutes and quickly installed additional lights at no cost that should keep us out of trouble with Highway Enforcement. Special thanks to Seth who got us on our long trip home in record time. Everybody at Midway was super nice, knowledgeable, and easy to deal with.

It was after 6 pm on a Friday so everything was closed. Apparently, while limping down the side of the interstate, we picked up a chunk of metal in the second axel tire too. First thing I did was start looking to see who was open Saturday and see if I could find the tires online. At 7am, I started making calls, closest to furthest. I needed a tire, a new spare, bearings and a flat fixed. I was dreading that it was Saturday because I knew everyone would be booked up. Walmart tire center didn't have any of the things I needed. The closest trailer shop didn't either. Next on my list was Midway. I called slightly before they open but they picked right up. Not only did they have everything I needed, but they said, "come on over, we will fix you right up." I unhitched the trailer and headed over. They immediately helped me, replaced the blowout, got me new bearings, (plus a spare set,) fixed the flat, and all while doing that, discovered it had a slice on the inside sidewall. Had they not noticed, that surely would have blown before we got home. These guys are super knowledgeable and skilled at what they do. In addition, they didn't charge us labor because he said it was costly enough to move across country. All that AND I was gone within 30 minutes!! I love these guys. Go visit, buy trailers, get service and tell them Karen says hi.

So I bought a racing go kart and needed a way to haul it. Everything I have read says get one size…read morelarger than you think you want. So I started shopping. I visited a few dealers in the area and looked at a couple different manufacturers of trailers. I did end up spending more than the base trailers I looked at because all the local one had steel frames and I wanted aluminum for weight savings. About 200 lbs but cost goes up and rust issues goes down. If I compared apples to apples even their steel trailers were cheaper and better built than a few I looked at. I looked at one locally that the door latch didn't even work on a new trailer. And most didn't run the LED interior/ exterior lights off of the break away trailer battery. Mine does. It also has an interior LED light that works very well. The process was very easy and the staff was very helpful. I am very pleased with my purchase and if I needed another trailer, I would be back. I have already started painting the interior to make sure it lasts. I am very pleased and it pulled down the road very well.
