Charged $50 for a microwave handle that was not broken when we left. The move-out statement showed us double charged for water in the last months (they could not explain, something about not being charged when we first moved in three years in the past). Very shoddy apartments. We had scorpions falling from our light fixtures. Things broken or leaking all the time. We moved out on our first opportunity. Avoid this place.

I think he understands the limitations of these apartments as they are fairly old, and probably weren't built with super quality materials in the first place. We live on the 2nd floor (and have two other times in other apartments) and have received complaints from neighbors downstairs on multiple occasions. I believe it's because they have installed hardwood floors, and the noise must be an absolute nuisance downstairs. The crazy part is that we are super thoughtful, quiet, and don't purposefully stomp around. Our neighbors have mentioned verbatim: "we are the loudest people they've ever lived with"... I've read bad reviews about what seems like everything the apartments have to offer, but honestly, it's a solid apartment complex. I've lived in 5 different apartments, and this one is definitely on of the better ones. I'll give a few reasons as to why: - Great neighbors: Everyone is seemingly kind and friendly. - Great location: Right next to a Buc-ees, and the trees and sunsets are a nice touch. - The fact they have dog poop bags which is pretty great... - Good pools that recently got a cleaning. - The car gates sometimes don't work, but at least we have them. Feel nice I suppose. They recently fixed fence gate as well which was about time! - CHAPALAS!!! Great TexMex and a small grocery store next to it so you can run little errands without having to run all the way to HEB.

I absolutely love living at this apartment complex! I moved into a spacious 2-bedroom on the second…read morefloor, and the interior stairs and hallway layout make it feel so homey. The apartment feels big, airy, and well-designed--perfect for my family. Amenities: The pool is always super clean and well-maintained. The clubhouse is open 24/7 and a fun spot to hang out with friends. The dog area is a little small, but it has an excellent washing station with soap for the pups--a really thoughtful touch. Staff & Maintenance: The staff is honestly the best part of living here. I've mostly worked with Yeritza and Vlad, and they've been amazing from day one. They treat you like a guest (how it should be!) rather than just another resident. Maintenance is excellent too--they communicate clearly and always show up on time. Community: Bastrop is lively and full of fun things to do, even for a smaller town. It's great for kids, and the overall vibe is professional and friendly, partly thanks to many SpaceX employees living here. Move-In Experience: My move-in was smooth and stress-free, thanks to Yeritza. She explained everything in detail, including all the incentives, and made the whole process really comfortable. Overall: This is by far the best apartment my wife, our 5-year-old son, and I have lived in. We couldn't be happier here. I'll be living here until we buy a house, and I honestly can't recommend it enough!

Everyone who came in became sick. I couldn't get out of bed due to fatigue, headaches, burning eyes, and breathing problems. . There are toxic and allergen molds still in the apartment.. Having had septic shock and a weakened immune system, I am leaving to save my health. The maintenance man, John, is rude. He broke my toilet and flooded the bathroom with sewage. He put a fan on it, laid linoleum and repainted the baseboards before breaking a pipe underneath the sink in the kitchen. More mold! My mother died, I was recovering from 5 years of caring for her as she died of Alzheimer's and my siblings were in court for their financial gain. I was also diagnosed with fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome and chronic pain from severe scoliosis. I had a state approved inspector test inside and out , at $500+, and the toxic level of mold in my apartment was due to the broken water pipes while the management blamed my lack of housekeeping skills. I paid the managers family over $2000 to move my furniture into storage so that they could replace the floors and treat the mold underneath. The day that it was due to be done they reneged on the agreement and said there was no mold. The owners are only interested in your money don't come here if you value your health and your sanity. They monitor your gardens and there are a lot of vicious gossips that live here. they have been retaliating against me and I am moving out. The manager suggested her family to move my into storage and the other rooms since they were replacing the laminated planks. I paid her family over $2000 plus the storage units and they were constantly harassing me because I was depressed over my mothers death and sick. If you want to keep your health and your sanity don't live at Settlement Estates.
