He called a couple of times to give later ETAs as he was on a job that was going longer. I was in trades too and am aware that jobs can get complicated. What I really liked was that he called and kept his word. When he arrived he was friendly, open and a pleasure to work with. He fixed my problem which ran on longer than we thought, charged a fair price, cleaned up after himself and said thanks for the work. Paying him was simple. The job was done very well. Why were they in the book? While we did get a quote on a less preferred brand that at least had a few fabrics we liked reasonably well, being the picky type, we finally decided to go elsewhere. I have no problem recommending Budget Blinds. My spouse and I just didn't feel like continuing on to ordering after the disappointing issues with an out of date sample catalogue. I think they need to do a better job with their communications and customer service. Their estimator really tried though to make us happy.

Majority of order was very dissimilar to part they got right. Sent email to bring matter to their attention. I was given an answer related to dye lots and shade variations however this answer ignored the fact the code was on the box and only a small fraction of the order had the correct code Why could they not have completed the order from same dye lot instead of mixing it up. Was told nothing can be done. Lesson to be learned is do not leave the store without checking every box thoroughly.

The stove opening was measured too tight so it was extremely difficult to put stove in place. Then, the stone backsplash was installed crooked and the company accused us of having crooked walls (they are perfectly straight). When you try to speak directly to a manager, you receive a curt email response from the secretary. Colonial Countertops refuses to take any accountability for their mistakes, and does not take steps to make things right for the customer. Once they have your money, they ghost you (Miro).
