I have enough knowledge about the history of this company as it grew to what it is today. They are very organized and sales staff are trained to give their absolute best in helping customers. I wonder if the negative comments are for another store named Design Lighting which is definitely not the one in Langley (previous location) and in Surrey (current location). I am not an employee of this company but do business calls regularly. Over the years, I've seen how the staff attended to customers. They are helpful and knowledgeable. Their operation is computerized from day 1. They know their items and their stock position. I'm sharing this because I cannot believe the negative comments I've read. Also, the reviewers are US based customers so I'm wondering if there's a case of mistaken store identity here. Thank you.

The receipt said it but isn't highlighted so didn't realize this until I came back to exchange it for another fixture I'd been considering. The staff on the weekend couldn't over-ride the exchange from a final sale so had to call the manager the next day and make another trip out to make the exchange which was for a more expensive fixture as well. There was only one staff at the front counter that managed to break a smile in the three visits I had to make. Really not impressed at all. Could have found the same on Wayfair with a lot less hassle. Beware if you want to return or exchange anything, they really don't appreciate this.

Unfortunately we were met with lack or interest or service, very high pricing, etc. These folks took service and value to the next level, they truly paid attention to our needs, going above and beyond to ensure price, and quality fit our needs. I would recommend going only to meet with Sarvjeet and his team, they don't just care about a "sale" they are in business to build lasting relationships with their clients. I put together a list of lights needed, and sent it out for quotes to other lighting stores all around the Lower Mainland, big and small. Steve's had the best prices, a mistake-free quote (she even commented that one of my lights had a different finish from all the others, and asked if that was correct, to make sure I wasn't making a mistake), professional, friendly and hassle-free service. Not me, evidently--this can be very complicated including wires being too short to re-establish even if you do know wiring. (The shade had to be replaced involving wiring?!!? Why yes it did, which is why I needed someone like Mark.) Knowledgeable, informative, engaging, listens and communicates well, dependable and helpful--we had to commute from Bellingham, and he worked with us to serve our needs so that all was timed right. This is the place we bought our Track lighting a few years back , was never really pleased with it…read more(very very expensive for basic track lights with we found later specialized bulbs), but I installed it and it works. Then I had three of these expensive bulbs that no other store in Victoria or online carries, go within a few weeks of each other. So I head back to Pine Lighting, two guys at the counter, 1 greeted me as I came in, and he was very friendly and helpful, the other guy sat at the counter, pretending to be on the computer but had his phone leaned against the computer screen while he was watching some game, tried to make some small talk with him, but guess whatever he was watching was more important that maintaining and customer relations.. $45 for three bulbs, and left really feeling as though my business was undervalued...can see why this place is devoid of customers. Next time any of the bulbs blow on these tracks, they are going to be removed and upgraded with something from a local business that has better customer service.

Terrible quality furniture! Not only are there factory defects but the build quality and materials…read moreare flimsy and feel like cardboard: * The finish quality is terrible with chips and chunks missing which the seller said was "normal factory defects" * The actual drawer dimensions are much smaller than represented so even though the dresser is much larger than my 3-drawer from Ikea it holds the same amount of items despite being 5-drawers * No matter how much adjusting and levelling, the drawers always roll open 1-2 inches which is infuriating * The dresser rocks back and forth when I touch it and feels like it will fall apart * The seller tries to imply the problems are due to the assembler (me) but I have built many dozens of flat packed furniture items from Ikea, Homcom, JSYK, Prepac without issue and immediately noticed the poor design and material quality of this item when I unpacked it I tried to resolve the issue with the company when I bought the item many months ago and despite my dissatisfaction and going back and forth, they only offered a small discount of $30. Now many months later every time I walk past the dresser I am reminded that you get what you pay for and why not to buy from companies like Pro Lite. Do yourself a favor and unless you need furniture that is not intended for actual use without falling apart within a few months then save yourself from disappointment and look elsewhere. *Update - the seller responded by falsely posting that the item was "clearance inventory, which consists of previously repaired units or items with known factory defects" but at no time was this disclosed or was it made clear. FALSE ADVERTISING. The seller also said I had the "opportunity to view and inspect the assembled dresser in person" but this is also a lie. The item was shipped (at my expense) to me flat packed in the original factory packaging - it was never previously assembled. This company is ran by scammers. BE WARE!!!

I was tempted by the heart shaped spoon but there was only one left so I didn't get any. They ship across Canada which is great. There are many small things which can be good for wedding flavors or as swags in events.
