He called a couple of times to give later ETAs as he was on a job that was going longer. I was in trades too and am aware that jobs can get complicated. What I really liked was that he called and kept his word. When he arrived he was friendly, open and a pleasure to work with. He fixed my problem which ran on longer than we thought, charged a fair price, cleaned up after himself and said thanks for the work. Paying him was simple. The job was done very well. He wired up the pool lights to 120v even though they were yellow 12v low voltage wires which you'd think would have been another clue, not to James it wasn't. So obviously he fried the lights and they needed to be repaired which he refused to do, I had to purchase all the new pool lights again myself which cost thousands of dollars. He did admit his mistake and told me he'd pay me back before ghosting me entirely. Clearly this guy doesn't know what he's doing and has no morals on top of that.

Had to run the cables half way across my house, cutting into the ceiling drywall in one room and in the garage. Overall they did a fantastic job. Kept the area clean and put it back to as close to normal as possible (they told me in advance that they put the cut drywall pieces back up, but don't repair the cuts). If I could give a lower star review I would. This contractor is one of the worst I have ever come…read moreacross in the electrical contracting business. I have built over 10 businesses and homes from the ground up and never have I come across a more incompetent person. Russel could not keep employees and the ones he did send were either severely compromised due to injuries or too hung over ( one fellow even admitted he was feeling sick from his night out at the pub) to work. One employee just walked off the job after screwing up one of the main lighting systems leaving wires dangling and holes in the wall. It took over a month for this issue to be resolved and held up our other contractors by 6 weeks. We are now left with flashing lights that cannot be turned off and keep us awake at all hours of the night. We now have an open case with the review board who is coming to inspect whether we are at risk . My advice find another contractor. It is not worth your aggravation
