See photos of packaged microwave and stacks of packaged windows and screens dragged out and left carelessly in the hallway for days due to leaks.The other two photos are of dog urine and feces that were left in the elevator and hallways. $100/ month to park in the garage. Gates were frequently left open for months for "future resident parking" leading to car break-in. Maintenance entering units at night time for non-emergencies. Strong cigarette and marijuana smoke can be smelled in elevator and hallways frequently. I would come home from work to my entire unit flooded with cigarette and thick marijuana smoke floating up from the units below me. I complained frequently to management and they took no action for 3 months. After 3 months I was issued a 2-3 sentence apology email. At this point the police department had to get involved. Due to all of these issues, I chose to give appropriate 60-day notice to vacate, as the terms of my lease were violated by management: Crime-Free/Drug-Free Housing Addendum and Smoke-Free Lease Addendum. Management is now demanding over $3,000 in fees and refusing to return my deposit.

Below you will find some pros and cons that you should expect as a member of the 'Windridge Community'. Pros: It's well-kept. The landscaping is nice and they update the property fairly regularly - painting the exterior, paving the parking lot, etc. The maintenance guys are responsive and helpful. It's very conveniently located - both to Downtown Chattanooga and the growing development on Signal Mountain Blvd. The neighbors are pretty decent. For the most part, folks at Windridge are pretty normal and keep to themselves. No wild parties or nosey neighbors. Cons: The biggest con I've seen is the office staff. As I mentioned before, I lived at Windridge back in 2005 and then again more recently. The 2005 office staff was definitely better. With the current bunch, they are either shady or incompetent. I can't decide which. They rarely return phone calls or respond to emails. In short, the less you have to deal with them, the better. The office intercepts your UPS/Fedex packages. This could be helpful, if it was optional or if they would accept packages that required a signature. Instead the office closes at 5. So if you work a 9-5, you are hard-pressed to get to the office while it was open to claim your package during the week. This drove me nuts! Windridge forces you to use Comcast for your cable, and inadvertently for internet. In a city where EPB offers 5x faster internet for the same cost, selling their soul to Comcast was a bonehead move. The property is definitely aging. They do a good job of keeping up with it, but Windridge is surrounded by newer properties, if that is your thing. All things considered, I'm giving Windridge 3 stars. It's everything it should be, but not any more.

The owners have updated with new carpet, flooring and appliances. The units are very beautiful with the screened porches AND balcony (we are on the second level - top apartment). There is so much light. Lots of storage! The management is unbelieveable. Any problems you may have will be fixed immediately!! Grounds are beautiful - great for walking.
