The desk clerk, Sharon, who insists she's a manager, mirrored this same behavior with a tone that was combative and condescending rather than helpful. What we experienced wasn't just poor customer service--it was a reflection of something deeper. The way we were spoken to, disregarded, and treated differently from other tenants made it painfully clear that racism is still alive and well in places where fairness and professionalism should be standard. I vacuumed the carpet numerous times and got a bunch of hair, fur, dirt, dust, etc. every single time, as if I hadn't just vacuumed it minutes before!
