My family and I were forced to move out due to a persistent roach infestation that went unaddressed, despite repeated concerns. This wasn't just uncomfortable--it was unsafe and unsanitary. Kelly, who is supposed to oversee the property, consistently ignored our complaints and treated us as if we were the problem--not the roaches, not the conditions. The desk clerk, Sharon, who insists she's a manager, mirrored this same behavior with a tone that was combative and condescending rather than helpful. What we experienced wasn't just poor customer service--it was a reflection of something deeper. The way we were spoken to, disregarded, and treated differently from other tenants made it painfully clear that racism is still alive and well in places where fairness and professionalism should be standard. This place is an absolute nightmare and I would not recommend it to anyone. From the moment I moved in, it was one issue after another. Management is completely unresponsive unless it benefits them, and when you actually need help, you're ignored or given the runaround. They will gladly take your money, but don't expect them to uphold their end of the lease. Maintenance requests either go unanswered or take forever to be addressed, and when they finally do show up, the problems are barely fixed, if at all. The communication is terrible, and no one seems to know what they're doing. What's worse is how they treat their residents. There's zero accountability, no professionalism, and absolutely no respect. I felt completely taken advantage of and misled the entire time I was there. Save yourself the stress, time, and money. Look elsewhere. I am a current resident at this complex. To the person who just left a one star review about the staff being racist, I would like to address you. Kelly is NOT a racist after all she hired Sharon who is black. If she were a racist then she would not be working here. Furthermore when walking around the complex, I see people of all different races and nationalities so to say that staff is racist is absurd. People need to take accountability for their actions and if there is a roach infestation perhaps you should look into cleaning your residence. I have yet to see a single roach in my home because I am a very clean person. As a person who is half Colombian, I have yet to experience what you are speaking with staff being racist. Living alone and an elderly person, I was quite nervous about apartment living. But, I soon found out my concerns about living in an apartment were erased at Legends at White Oak. The sweet and helpful personality of Heather, the Assistant Manager, set my mind at ease. She was very helpful in taking care of everything. My surroundings are beautiful and very safe. When we moved from California, our house was not ready so we had to scramble to find a place to stay. The office staff was SO helpful and helped get us in at such short notice. They are pet friendly, kid friendly-the pool was awesome! Would highly recommend legends to everyone!!! read more

Office staff over promises and then sends out emails to "valued" residents stating they aren't really responsible for upholding the covenants that all the residents signed. So, it's a big free for all. You can hear everything your neighbors are doing (sex, abusing their family, lifting the toilet seat and peeing). Most reviews are solicited - it's not really worthy of a nomination for Best of Best of anything. And one more thing - there is no security. Really look at that "gated" part of the community. People just go around it. And don't forget, those emails to "valued" residents pretending to search for missing packages that have been stolen by porch pirates. They don't have security cameras and played dumb when apartments were broken into. No notifications to "valued" residents about the break ins. read more

My husband and I moved here in October 2016 after selling our large home so quickly. We were only staying a year in trying to find our new home; and now we're finishing five years WITH a sixth new lease signed! Our one bedroom apartment has lots of natural light, incredible spacious (more than some two-bedroom apartments, and the best part is we face one of two large ponds with a fountain. It is so soothing listening and sometimes it feels we are at a resort. Our grandkids love coming over and fishing (catfish), sitting on our patio, and swimming in the large, salt-water pool. And the staff and maintenance crews are AWESOME! The length of time living here is a testimony to their commitment to the residence. We love it here and who knows when we'll leave. read more

I really don't have any bad reviews about the area. I do have one about my upstairs neighbors. I called several times to complain about their kid stomping and throwing heavy toys on the floor all hours of the day. My kids can't nap during the day cause my walls are always shaking and the excessive stomping. I bang on the ceiling and nothing. I don't want to physically go upstairs because I don't need anyone saying I threatened them. Nothing has been done about it. I plan on moving somewhere else where I don't have anyone above me. It's just really aggravating. read more

I left this complex and state of TN month a go. I had some issues which was not serious. I was really comfortable here because i was sure any problem happen, Tosha is there. Tosha is the apartment manager, she is really nice. she paying attention to all details and i every time was sure that she just not a good listener, she also solve it. Nowhere is perfect but Tosha made this place perfect, you just need pick up the phone and share your problem with her, you're done, she do anything needed. read more

Overpriced money gouging company. Don't live here, just buy a house... seriously. The gate never worked right and most of the staff could care less about your complaints. Neighbors are loud college kids. And for the love of everything don't hang any pictures in there or you'll have a $200 dollar charge when you move. read more

Huge floorplans with tall ceilings and walk in closets. Clean landscape. Really nice salt water pool with a large kiddie pool area for the littles to play. Office staff is always kind and helpful with maintenance needs and noise complaints. Generally quiet complex with friendly tenants. The office has a monthly newsletter and monthly community events to bring everyone together. Love the gated entrance. They could only improve by adding a playground for the kids. read more

This is a beautiful apartment complex zoned for good schools in the Ooltewah area. The staff are always helpful, courteous, and attentive. However, I feel that the complex is not a good fit for me. If you are an extroverted dog owner who loves the outdoors, this complex is definitely for you. If you are more introverted, value your space and privacy, and are not too fond of pets, then this place is not for you. There doesn't appear to be weight restrictions on dogs, and my neighbors are constantly "in my face" with these oversized dogs, letting them poop and pee in front of my patio. My upstairs neighbors are noisy well beyond the designated "quiet hours", and I've had to call the courtesy officer several times just to get some peace and quiet. I can't sit outside on my patio and truly enjoy it because it isn't private, and it faces the parking lot. It's just too much activity, too many dogs, and very little privacy. Again, I think the main issue is that the community is not a good fit for my personality. Otherwise, very attractive complex. read more

Great staff as long as your approved to move in. God forbid, you don't get approved, you will never get your admin fee returned to you as promised when they gladly take it with your application. Despite telling them beforehand that you have less then perfect credit, they will take your money knowing you will not get approved. Complete and utter discrimination, don't even bother. Apartments weren't even that nice. No granite in the bathrooms. Cheap linoleum. Do yourself a favor and go to Integra Preserve down the street. Greatest management team ever! I am so glad we were able to move back into a house. I would not recommend this place to anyone. It appears nice on the outside, but it is poorly constructed. We had to put blankets in the windows in the winter and use electric blankets to stay warm due to the poor insulation. You pay an outrageous price each month to "live in luxury" but it is far from it. If it was better insulated, it would be a pretty good place to live. I know what the lease says but I also think if you leave the apartment flawless, you shouldn't have to pay all of the early move out fee. Knowing what I know now, I would have not made such an effort to make sure it was spotless. There is also drug dealing going on. No place to have your kids. You would be better off renting a house. read more

Lots of noise, smoke, fleas, and trash. Way overpriced and very poorly constructed! We have resided here at the Legends for almost a year and I have until now held my tongue for the most part....no more. I'm not sure what you can hear on 2nd or 3rd floors but you can hear almost everything from the unit(s) above you if on the 1st floor. This has been especially troublesome with the last two tenants above us...sounds like the running of the bulls and/or a rock concert well into the night to the point you just want to run to a hotel. Also, when we moved in we were looking for a place that was smoke-free. We found Legends was advertised as smoke-free. This is not the case. As a matter of fact, cigarette butts continue to rain down into the dry grass and mulch just waiting to burn the place down, and smoke makes its way in from the vents to the point where there is a very real concern from second hand smoke! We have made the office aware of our concerns with no change in conditions...only apologies which are appreciated if, only if acted upon. I have experienced much healthier and happier living conditions in places half the price. FYI...this review is being posted well after the new ownership group purchased the Legends. For the expectations, the Legends is currently not worth your health or peace of mind. And dear ownership please don't bother apologize again, just rectify the problems! read more
