I want to highlight that the associate I had working on me was great - she would ask me periodically if I'm okay and comfortable; which really goes far for me. She took an additional ~5 - 10 min to counsel me thoroughly on how to properly manage my oral care moving forward now that I have braces. I was referred to this practice from my general dentist when I mentioned at my annual cleaning last year that I wanted braces. I am happy to be under their care as I go through my braces journey.

I tried to make an appointment with you only to find out that your website was misleading customers by making it look like you have dental sedation when you don't. Then you lied about not having it on your website. You do, in fact, have it on your website. Right under the dental anxiety section, and when you click on that link, it literally says at the top of the page. "IMPROVE YOUR NEXT APPOINTMENT WITH DENTAL SEDATION" That's incredibly misleading. I'd hate to think what your care quality is considering this wasn't up to par and you decided to try to discredit people who point it out. Not my fault you decided to mislead people on your website. You should fix that.

Anyway, once we found the office, we were greeted and had a smooth check-in process. Only 1 form to fill out! We met with the patient coordinator, who asked a few questions and then passed that info along to the doctor. He came in and examined my son, then gave us his recommendation and answered our questions. He was very friendly and professional. Then the patient coordinator discussed payment options. My only two gripes are the following: 1) I believe I filled out all the forms online before arriving, but those were somehow lost and I had to use their iPad to fill them out again. It took maybe 20 mins in total, and there's a lot of info to provide on your first visit. Maybe check on the online process to see what broke and why my info didn't come through? 2) I think someone may have called out sick that day on their staff, as it appeared that they were double booked throughout the AM. After being seated in the back, I had to wait 20-30 mins for a dental assistant to come back and do my cleaning. It was worth the wait as she did one of the best and most in-depth cleanings of my life, so please give her a raise! That being said, had I known ya'll were double booked in the AM, I might have come in a bit later than scheduled if I knew that morning of the pending delay. That being said, I'd say this place is most definitely where I'm going now that I live in the area. Hands down one of the best dentist offices I've ever been to!

I have been a patient at The Dental Group for over 3 years and unfortunately I can no longer…read morerecommend them after my most recent experience. They do not do well at supporting patients with sensory issues or dental anxiety, or conditions like TMJ that make dental visits difficult. With new patients they are kinder, but with every visit I have made they have become less supportive and less accommodating. My last cleaning was extremely unpleasant and I was shamed into not taking breaks over the course of multiple procedures and fittings even though holding my jaw open causes my TMJ to flare. Then there's the high-pressure upselling. For several years, the dentists and hygienists at this practice have been trying to get me to buy a dental-grade night guard out of pocket, even though I had an over-the-counter one I had been happy with. I finally agreed because they told me it would help my gums and that I would face severe consequences if I did not "make the investment." I had to pay $750 (!!!) out of pocket. When the night guard arrived, it was so bulky and uncomfortable that I could not get a good night's sleep in it and I woke in the morning with severe jaw pain on both sides of my jaw. I went back to have it adjusted and suddenly I was being told that having a night guard means sleeping with your mouth open and accepting dry mouth, that jaw pain often gets worse at first, and that I would have to accept some bad sleep in order to become accustomed to the night guard. I cannot stress enough that this was NOT disclosed to me prior to when I made the purchase. Since the practice knew about my sensory and dental anxiety issues, I feel strongly that they should have talked to me about what the night guard would be like before pushing me to buy it. When I explained the above, the practice offered me only a partial refund, which would mean that I spent hundreds of dollars on nothing. I feel my trust was taken advantage of and I would encourage others to look for a different practice.

She then told me he was too busy to be able to speak with me and not to come there to speak to him (and sent a rolling eyes emoji). I had cavities and I never felt scared or judged -- Dr. Alexander made it as pleasant an experience as drilling teeth can be. The staff including receptionists are also very sweet. When getting worked on there are [optional, of course] movie goggles and the movie selection is great! Nothing distracts you from the pain of drilling like watching a movie. Not only that, but you are physically blocked from watching a Novocaine needle being stabbed into your mouth. If you have a phobia of needles, these goggles are pretty neat. Dr. Alexander also practices with a conservatism that not many dentists use nowadays. For example, I was having TERRIBLE tooth pain and thought I may need a root canal (advil around the clock... I could sense my liver being poisoned). Although over half the signs pointed to a classic root canal case, the other half were ambiguous or certain signs were missing. Thus, after 3 visits, two different types of x-rays and various tooth tests, he decided not to do a root canal which I am thankful for because it turns out it was a sinus infection causing the pain. I'm very happy I avoided an unnecessary and painful procedure through a little detective work and caution. Dr. Alexander is also very good when it comes to explanations. He takes the time to explain what's going on in your mouth to you in a way you can understand. If you ask a question about your mouth, you will get an answer that makes sense and evidence to back it up. The equipment is very up-to-date so you get clear pictures of what's going on on the inside to support your questions. Overall, I am very happy with Dr. Alexander and would recommend him.

The Dental Assistants and Staff are also absolutely amazing! Very professional and I was treated with the utmost respect every visit/call. I want to personally thank Arianna. She was there from the extraction, and all the way till I got my crown today. She made this whole experience seamless and she, too, has great chair-side manners!
