I saw multiple dentists who told me my only option was veneers and often made me feel ashamed for being so young with teeth in such poor condition. It led me to feeling even more discouraged and it actually made my brushing habits worse because I felt embarrassed and hopeless about improving my teeth. But when I started seeing Dr. Horn, I never once felt that way. From the beginning, she made me feel supported and understood. She's been willing to work with me every step of the way and thoughtfully curated a treatment plan, that didn't include veneers! During my initial consult, we reviewed the photos they took of my teeth, and she had me point out which specific teeth I wanted her to focus on. She made it clear that I didn't have to commit to anything beyond what I was comfortable with, whether that was personally or financially, and that the plan could be tailored to my priorities. For my actual appointment, they offered me luxurious amenities from an entire menu! l got the heated neck pillow and headphones with cable TV, and they even surprised me with a smoothie afterwards! Dr. Horn also made sure to prep my lips with lip balm before starting anything, which was such a thoughtful touch and made the whole experience feel comfortable and genuinely caring. The results from my first appointment have been incredible and far exceeded any expectations I had. I remember saying during my initial consult that I just hoped to lessen some of the staining as much as possible, but it truly feels like it's almost entirely gone. I feel so happy and giddy when I look in the mirror now. I truly cannot recommend Dr. Horn and her team enough. Not only did they completely transform my smile, but they also transformed the way I feel about myself. Cambridge Dental Center put me on an emergency triage list and I was in to see Dr. Alex within 24 hours. The staff was so friendly, accommodating, and took great care of me. I had no pain through my procedure whatsoever. Their prices were much cheaper than my current dentist and their customer service was outstanding. I canceled my next cleaning with my old dentist and scheduled my next with Cambridge Dental Center. And the cherry on top was receiving a nice welcome card signed by all the staff. Dr. Peterson is very personable, and does extremely good work. Each time I go in, he always remembers something about my life and asks me how that's going--we talk baseball a lot since he's a Twins fan and I cheer for the White Sox. Much of the staff is the same as when Dr. Shorenstein was there, so it's great to see familiar faces--that combined with the great work encourages me to keep making the long drive back to Cambridge each time I need to see a dentist. When we questioned office manager she told us they don't send insurance requests or Medicare requests. Not what we were told at initial appointment. We had to do it ourselves. We did only to find out this office is NOT a Medicare provider and is not in Blue Cross network. This office deliberately misled us. They are greedy and VERY unhelpful. Choose someone else. We are out nearly $800 that would have been covered at another clinic if they had been honest with us. Shameful treatment of seniors on a limited budget.

The reason why most dentists get into the field is so they can inflict pain on others without legal repercussions. Everybody knows that. This one is different. He has somehow figured out how to whip your teeth into shape without using any pain compliance techniques. The equipment that they use is beyond state of the art. This stuff has not even been to Area 51 yet. I am pretty sure it is made from materials that have not been invented yet, at least on this planet.

I came in for cavity fillings and left feeling disrespected and confused about my own bill. From…read morethe start, there was no intake process -- no paperwork, no forms, no verification of why I was even there. My hygienist mentioned we were addressing 3 cavities, but that was the only communication I got about the plan. After sitting in the chair for two hours, I was given a verbal total that shocked me. I was escorted to the consultation room. Before I'd even seen an invoice, the staff member started talking about collections and asked me point-blank if I'd "shown up today with the intention of not paying." I went in for dental care and ended up feeling like I was being interrogated as a criminal, not treated like a patient. After I paid a partial amount, I was finally handed a piece of paper, and the total on it didn't even match what I'd been told verbally. This isn't the first time a staff member has been snooty and condescending in the consultation room. When I called the next day to get clarity, I was met with a condescending tone and no real answers. When I raised concerns about how I'd been treated, the response was: "Thanks for the feedback, no one will be calling you back, ask more questions next time." No accountability, no follow-up, nothing. The office has a sign stating patients may be asked to leave if they're disrespectful to staff. Apparently that standard doesn't apply in reverse. If you value transparency about costs and basic respect as a patient, I'd look elsewhere.
