Disappointed and Unfairly Treated I understand that a dental…read moreoffice has the right to dismiss a patient, and I respect that they ultimately get to make that decision. However, I strongly disagree with the reasons given to me and the way this situation was handled. I was recently dismissed as a patient because I had needed to reschedule appointments and because, as stated in the letter I received, I was unable to have treatment completed in a "timely fashion." I work over an hour away from home and work directly with patients myself, so I understand how important schedules are. I will absolutely admit that I have had to reschedule appointments due to my fluctuating work schedule. However, I never no-showed an appointment and never gave less than 24 hours' notice. I was always mindful of their time and made every effort to communicate when I needed to make a change. As for the treatment issue, I never received a service and refused to pay for it. I simply could not afford to have $500+ worth of treatment done all at once. I asked if we could work out a more manageable option, including having one filling done each month something I could actually afford. I had already explained my situation and was hoping for a little flexibility. The cost of everything right now is incredibly high, and sometimes families have to prioritize their children's needs before their own. I was not asking for free treatment or trying to avoid paying my bill. I was asking for a reasonable way to receive the care I needed within my financial limitations. What is especially upsetting is being dismissed as a patient over circumstances that I feel could have easily been handled with a little understanding and communication. I have never been "fired" as a patient before, and honestly, receiving that letter was incredibly embarrassing and upsetting. For a small business in a small town, I expected a little more willingness to work with a family who simply needed some flexibility. Again, I understand that they have the right to make this decision. I just don't believe that having to reschedule appointments with appropriate notice or being unable to immediately afford hundreds of dollars in dental work makes someone a bad patient. I hope others consider this experience when deciding where to receive their care.

After seven years as a patient, this is not a trust issue but a breakdown in your process and…read morepriorities. I clearly communicated my scheduling constraints and asked your front desk to relay that information accurately, which did not happen. The details were not retained, and when the appointment was set incorrectly, I clarified what I had already stated. Instead of addressing that, your staff chose to repeat the same step rather than seek appropriate alternatives, which is your responsibility, not mine. I also made it clear that while the situation was not emergent, my child has a broken tooth and the matter was medically relevant, yet I was offered only a same day appointment within a couple of hours despite explaining that my children were in school and unavailable, which is unreasonable. During this process, your office called me, the call was disconnected with no follow up, and when I called back I was treated as if I were not already in an active conversation and was told another call had been taken instead, which reflects poor handling of a basic interaction. I was given only one option that I had already said I could not accept, and rather than ask for alternatives when speaking with the dentist the first time, your staff repeated the same process again, wasting more time. At that point, the level of service was clearly inadequate, and I sought care elsewhere. As a courtesy, I informed your office that I had scheduled with another provider so you would not waste further time, which reflects good faith on my part. The second provider was able to schedule appropriately on the first attempt, confirming that the issue was not my communication but your level of customer service and staff training. Meanwhile, my 11 year old was left without timely care and there was no meaningful follow up from your office to resolve it. After seven years of being a paying patient through both insurance and out of pocket payments, the decision to terminate care for me and my children based on a single interaction with a front desk employee I had never previously dealt with, without any effort to contact me or understand what actually occurred, reflects a lack of accountability. I am willing to resolve this professionally once accountability is acknowledged and a formal apology is issued. Otherwise, I will proceed accordingly.
