    Korean Krispy Chicken Sandwich
    Joshua K.

Pin Pan Pollo is an AMAZING chicken wing and sandwich pop-up started by two Miami-loving locals as a passion project who's goal is to give everyone a taste of Miami and ultimately create a tighter knit community through their efforts. We got the opportunity to try them out outside of the J. Wakefield brewery in Wynwood, and wow! Their food is truly a labor love. These are some of the best (meatiest and crispy) wings and chicken sandwiches we've ever had at any price point! Everything is double fried and super saucy. The Korean-flavored wings and sandwich are pretty self-explanatory-- this is a favorite of many people, having a combination tangy and spicy-but-no-too-spicy flavor profile with an excellent crunch coming from the double fried chicken, scallions, and sesame seeds. There's a lot going on with this texture-wise and it's excellent! However, Pin Pan Pollo is known for their Guayaba Y Queso flavored selections. To put it simply, THIS is the taste of Miami in a chicken wing! These flavored wings taste exactly how they sound, with a sweet sauce and cheesy dip Where else can you get a Guayaba Y Queso flavored chicken wing or sandwich? Oh my gosh! If there is one thing you try from this pop-up, it is this truly unique iteration of their wings and sandwich. Other chicken wing/sandwich serving establishments need to step their game up! We will be back at their future pop-ups, and whatever they will inevitably grow into. This is an amazing concept! Congratulations to its founders; they are on to something! PS: they run a great Miami-centric podcast called "Pero Let Me Tell You". Give it a listen!

When I tried their wings, I instantly fell in love. The guys were so amazing and recommended us the Santero chicken sandwich and it was delicious! Amazing service! Great vibe! The do pop ups, so you gotta follow them on Instagram

Pin Pan Pollo are definitely the best wings in Miami, super friendly and attentive to your order always. If you guys want amazing and big wing's definitely try them out. Their guava wings are super addictive and if you are lucky enough you'll get a chance to try the amazing elote wings they do!

I'm so happy they have a steady place at Beat Culture on Wednesday and Fridays so I can get my weekly Wing fix.

Put me in the "sees Chef once, must try a Cubano" camp…read more We had two days to spend in Miami and we wanted to make sure we would get at least one breakfast here. Appears like a large building from the outside but is actually a small quaint space that is clean and well kept. Service was awesome and we felt welcome even though it was quite clear we were tourists traveling in. I imagine this place runs in to out of towners a lot but they treated us kindly and, if we lived here, we would definitely put this spot on rotation. Our sandwiches were amazing. My partner got the one with plantains in it and that one definitely stole the show. I liked my tinta y cafe sandwich, but her's was a star. The cafecito and lattes were on point too and a truly great breakfast meal. Pair that with the rain pouring down outside it made for a truly memorable experience and quick bite.

My go to and my suggestion if you are a first timer is their madurito. It is one of their classics and most beloved, and a personal favorite too. When I go by myself and order the mini, I tend to have left overs and I have found that when I go with my partner, the regular is more than enough for both! Each sandwich somes with some platanitos, which are a perfect combo, and I would suggest you order un jugo de parchita (or maracuya) or try their beloved coffee. As a matcha lover, I recently heard they started offering matcha as well which I am SO excited to try. P.S., keep in mind that they don't allow laptops and I feel like they might even have a wifi blocker since signal gets so bad inside, but I really appreciate how it motivates you to remain very present and connect with the staff and other customers around you.

We had dietary restrictions, and she made it safe for all! Myriam even went out of her way to source a lactose-free birthday cake. This level of care is RARE, and her thoughtfulness made all the difference. The food was incredible, the presentation was stunning, and the whole experience was executed to perfection! Great place to stop for a quick bite on a beach day or when you're not feeling up for a full meal…read more Sandwiches are large and taste great! Plenty of customization options. A counter seat is hit or miss but nice to have available instead of only being a walk up window. Skip the smoothies. They're watery and thus not very filling or flavorful. I came around 1 PM and the restaurant was really busy with locals and some tourists. The restaurant only has counter seating in the windows with barstool seating (no inside seating) so you have to wait until someone gets up and then you seat yourself. I waited about 2-3 minutes and found a seat (it's all pretty quick because people eat their sandwiches and come and go). When I was seated I was warmly greeted by a restaurant employee and he promptly took my order. I ordered the Bora Bora smoothie to start (around $7) and ordered the turkey and brie cheese sandwich (around $10). The smoothie was made quickly with fresh fruit and the sandwich is a huge portion and came up quick with fresh bread and all fresh produce, the sandwich was truly amazing! Make sure to use the vinagarette dressing on the counter, this is homemade and is so good! If you're near a La Sandwicherie location, definitely stop in!
