From responsiveness, work ethic and impeccable service, Hancock should be your first and only call, when needing fence work! I initially reached out to Hancock via Yelp, of course ‍ Tyler immediately responded and didn't waste any time answering all of my concerns. The next day he came out to walk/measure our fence and give me some bid options to replace both sides of two alleys, front of our house sections, one new gate (we were eliminating the backyard gate), remove a section along our driveway and add an auto-gate. Our neighbor had already replaced our shared section of fencing. Their bids do not include staining, but the company they recommend, Ultimate Wood Care, is equally as awesome and reasonably priced. Since we were upgrading to 8' board on board w an auto-gate, I knew it was going to be expensive. Our property sits on a half acre and our driveway is 30' wide. So we probably have double linear feet and width of driveway. But it is true what we all say, "you get what you pay for." Yes, it was expensive, but this fence isn't going anywhere, the fence is built w steal fence posts, cedar pickets, the front gate is framed w steal and the auto-gate is the icing on the cake! Additionally, if you spend big bucks on their premier fencing, you'll get a 10 yr warranty! This warranty has been incredible. We had a couple of boards crack and I simply notify Tyler w photo of picket, he sends his guys out the very next day and they not only replace it with a new picket, they stain it to match the color of our existing stain! Next, Tyler gave me their bid, I approved, he got necessary city permits and the guys were out and demoing our fence the very next Monday morning at 9am! Tyler's guys are punctual, respectful, hard working, do a hell of a job removing/replacing fencing as well as installing auto-gates and very dependable. Having worked in the construction business, as Operations Manager for 17 yrs in Austin, I am super picky and very vocal regarding punctuality, dependability, cleanliness on job site and completing work in a timely manner. Hancock fencing is above and beyond my "high bar" expectations. The guys showed up on time every morning, left our property immaculate at the end of each day, worked a full hard days work and completed our fence in a 5 day work week! I simply cannot sing enough praises for, Tyler and his crew! So don't waste anymore time researching and comparing fencing companies, simply call Hancock, you will not be disappointed or have any regrets when they're done! They are Bar None the BEST fencing company you will ever need to hire, to do any and all necessary fencing work!

Simply outstanding. We had Hancock replace our fence and their work was amazing. They were incredibly respectful of our property and communicated each step of the way.

Texas Best got my business because they were the…read morefirst company to respond to my request for a quote to stain our fence and garage doors AND they were reasonably priced...which is more than I can say about their competitors, some of whom never even showed up for the appointment to provide a quote. But I digress... I was initially told that they were 4-6 weeks behind schedule due to the excessive rain we had this past Spring which was completely understandable. After all, Texas weather can be extreme and unpredictable. As it turns out they were actually further behind than that, although it didn't come as a surprise, nor was it an issue for me. Eventually the job was completed and it was worth the wait. Our fence and garage doors look fantastic! The only reason they fell short of receiving 5 stars was because the communication could have been better. Once the proposal was signed weeks turned into months where I heard nothing from them. I began to wonder if they forgot about me so I contacted them to express my concern. At that point they promptly scheduled an appointment to come clean our fence and garage doors. They arranged to do the staining shortly thereafter, but no one notified us of that appointment beforehand. Fortunately, we happened to be home when the crew showed up.

Bret…read moreresponded quickly when I reached out and addressed the issues the very next day, which was greatly appreciated. He was professional, easy to work with, and the quality of the work was excellent. The first project was a larger fence repair, and the second was a smaller job to fix damage caused by another party -- both were handled with the same level of care and attention to detail. It's clear they take pride in their work. I would definitely recommend Texas Pride Roofing & Fencing and will use them again in the future.

I randomly selected a couple roofing companies from yelp and called Bret next. The response was super fast, before I finished leaving voice mail he already texted me back. He was able to come out the same day. He then arrived on time, inspected the damaged area and the entire roof and told me that my roof is still great and that he could get the damaged area patched up the same day. The price he quoted me was almost unfair, to him. Outside of his super reasonable pricing, I also detected honest feedback and passion to his work. I had a few more companies lined up that afternoon originally, I ended up not needing them to come out after I spoke to Bret. I'm very happy and thankful with the timely help he rendered, and I have no hesitation to reach out again when my roof or fence needs upgrade! I highly recommend Bret to everyone looking for roof service. You will not be disappointed.

We hired Adam after reading reviews about DFW Fence Doctor and finding his number listed on…read moreironfencedallas.com, DFW Fence Doctor's wrought iron division. Though you might find Adam associated with the ironfencedallas.com website and DFW Fence Doctor, he is NOT associated with them. His work is sloppy and he does not stand by his work to fix the problem, even after given plenty of opportunities to fix the issues. Here's a little rundown of the nightmare and headache we dealt with because of Adam: - I initially texted him and he was very responsive when getting information about the work we needed, which was to refinish/repaint the iron railing on our front porch. - He completed the work a few weeks later and the day he finished my wife was working (and the paint was still drying so I couldn't get a great read on the quality of the work), but he told me that once she/we had a chance to inspect the railing after it fully dried, it wouldn't be a problem for him to come out and fix any issues if we saw anything. - The next day we inspected the work and there were several problems. The paint was already peeling off in numerous areas, and he got overspray on both the stone and brick on the porch. I texted pictures to Adam, and he said he'd come out the next day and said "I'll get it fixed for you". - After a few days of no updates, I texted again and didn't hear back. I gave him a few days and texted again, and he said he would stop by later that week. He never stopped by. I texted again, no response. I tried calling him and got a vague non-answer that he had stopped by (when? I don't know, because I was home nearly all day and never saw him), and fixed some things but couldn't fix everything and had to come back. - After more texts and calls for updates when he never showed back up (we're now at about 6 weeks since the initial work was done), my wife tried calling him. Surprise surprise, he answered right away since he didn't know to ignore her number like he had been ignoring mine. He told her he'd come by "no later than Wednesday" to fix the problems. He never showed. On Thursday, my wife sent multiple texts and tried calling multiple times, and he never responded. - I then texted him again, saying we felt like we deserved a refund for the poor work and complete lack of follow through. That got a response from Adam, who claimed he was "out of town this week on an emergency call since Wednesday" and "just saw multiple messages and texts" from my wife after getting my message (conveniently, he apparently didn't have phone service all week until my message came through?). Even if the emergency call story is true, he lacked all decency to communicate that with either me or my wife to let us know of the situation. - According to Adam, I hired him, and my wife didn't. So, in his words, "I'll communicate with you and she needs to talk to you". In other words, "I accidentally answered when she called because I didn't know she was calling to voice concerns and now I'm ignoring her". He also claimed that this seems to be a "husband/wife dispute" for some reason. I've never once hired a contractor who refused to talk to my wife about the job because, and I quote, "a man cannot serve two masters". Basically, he'll answer an unknown number the first time because he wants the business, but after that he'll ignore you if you're voicing concerns. And if you're married, you'd better make sure you're both there when he agrees to start the job, otherwise only one of you is allowed to talk to him. You can find Adam's information on fencerepairdallastx.com, dfwfencebuilders.com and dallaspoolfence.com (that should be a red flag right there, that he needs multiple websites and business names...). Please save your money and avoid using him because you will just have to have the work redone by someone else!

I had no issues until we needed it to be fixed a few months down the road. Nothing major, loose panels, disconnected panels, shifting of gates from our soil. Relatively easy fixes if this is what you do for a living. Well we've been trying to get him to come out for the last two months with no luck. We've asked and asked and it's always, maybe next week. He won't set a date and the fence is just getting worse. Very disappointed from the good reviews we read we were very confident in him. For a company that claims to have great customer service, I assume it's only great until they get paid. I would avoid them if you don't want to fix it yourself down the road.
