A few weeks ago I visited a dentist and was told I needed a number of things done - 11 cavities, 1 crown, a night guard (even though I told this dentist that I didn't grind my teeth, nor did I preference one side while chewing), as well as a deep gum cleaning. The total charge out of pocket was going to be 4k after my insurance. I decided to get a second opinion from Dr. Gasperini. Dr. Gasperini was so kind and gentle and explained everything that he was going to do before doing it. I never had any of those awkward moments where my mouth was left open needlessly. Very aware of the comfort level of his patients. In the end, Dr. Gasperini told me I needed only one filling! Only one filling! I trust this doctor completely, and have found my new dentist. Starkman seemed very nice and gentle 5 years ago when I first started seeing him which was refreshing coming from an dentist who was not, but he lied to me about fixing a failed crown, and just drummed up a bunch of unnecessary work for his associates that has failed me and now I see him as a greedy old man with a superiority complex who is only available for a month or two out of the year. The hygienists are aggressively covering up the failures of the dentists who do restoration work there, when he's on vacation. Everything here is overpriced(and will probably fail you within a few years), and smile club is a scam. Don't waste your energy on starkman and his revolving door of inadequate associates, like I did. Get some better toothpaste without the harsh abrasives, take a oral probiotic and get a hygienist who doesn't cover up other dentist's failures!

Last time the GPS sent me to the wrong end of Fox St; and kept rerouting me back to the same spot. Today the GPS did it's job. The front desk staff informed Dr. Blondin that I was here; and almost immediately I was ushered into an exam room. His assistant had me in two bibs to protect my clothes, asked if I wanted music, I thought I was on a cruise ship. Every knob, handle, wire, instrument in the room was covered with plastic. The Zeiss microscope was in its own sealed plastic bag. Dr. Blondin was in shortly. He explained what was going to happen today in his cheerful and reassuring voice. After a local analgesic; the work began. A dental dam was applied, then the drilling began. All the while the doctor was letting me know what was going on during the procedure. A few X-rays latter I was almost done. The X-rays showed the true picture of the bicuspid and the repair done. I'm way past the age of being in awe of anything. This endodontist office leaves me awestruck. Everyone does their job with precision and acumen. If you need a great endodontist - This is the place to go to first. What's that old saying? "you've seen the rest; now see the best". I'm paraphrasing.
