As an extreme introvert, it's hard for me to attend workout classes because I'm always scared of doing things wrong or not keeping up with the class. After a lot of research, I finally reached out to schedule a lesson with Jenise. Her online booking process was super easy, and she promptly contacted me via text for a brief introduction and to discuss my goals with Pilates. On the first day, we sat down and talked about my objectives and what I hoped to achieve by the end of my sessions. Jenise is a great communicator; she is precise with her instructions, quick to correct, demonstrates techniques well, and provides positive feedback. She makes you feel at ease and ensures you know she is there to help. She'll be your biggest cheerleader through each session and push you beyond what you thought were your limits, all while making each session feel empowering and achievable. Her positive energy and personalized feedback keep you striving for more and celebrating each small victory along the way. After 20 sessions, I've noticed some major changes in my body. My lower back no longer aches, I'm much stronger than when I started, my body is more defined, and most importantly, I'm happy both mentally and physically. If you're looking for an instructor who will challenge you, inspire you, be a cheerleader or a friend, and make you feel supported every step of the way, look no further. Jenise will not only help you reach your goals but will also make the journey enjoyable and rewarding. read more

Jenise has changed my life! I am a 74 yr old male whose posture has been deteriorating due to scoliosis. My mother, brother and other relatives have been inflicted by the condition and I wanted to do what I could to slow or reverse its impact. Since starting pilates with Jenise, I have been continually aware of my body and I try to do pilates (find neutral!) in every activity I do. Jenise is forceful yet patient, always pushing me to go to the next level, but sensitive to my limitations. In addition to sessions in the studio, Jenise has given me exercises to do at home. I have already completed 30 sessions with Jenise and plan to do many more. Thanks to Jenise, pilates is now part of my life! read more

Today (11/19/22) was mine and my daughter's first time doing Pilates...ever!!! I was nervous about doing Pilates. But Jenise was an amazing instructor. She made us feel comfortable without coddling us as a first timers. She Pilates us! In other words, she showed my daughter and I how to move my body on the machine. Movements were low impact yet very effective. I felt the targeted muscles the movements were intended for. I sweated in the first 10 minutes and it usually takes me at least 25 minute of aggressive workout or cardio to get me to sweat. It was a good workout! Jenise not only promotes physical fitness but she's promotes good vibes all around. Definitely spoke highly of my daughter and I taking the class together. Said encouraging words to my young daughter. It's a positive experience to see a beautiful, down-to-earth woman like Jenise connect with my daughter. My daughter and I walked in looking to learn Pilates and walked out feeling good and having met a new friend. Thank you Jenise! read more

I feel blessed and fortunate to have started my pilates journey with Jenise. I am not sure that I would have grown a love for it if not for her guidance and enthusiasm. It's a tough work out but I've never felt better. I'm a beginner (very very new to Pilates) and Jenise is great about explaining, correcting, positioning, demonstrating, and providing positive feedback. Even though I am burning and sweating, I never feel overwhelmed or stressed out like I have at CrossFit or orange theory. If you're on the fence about trying Pilates and want an amazing intro to all things pilates, health and positive vibes with an energetic and supportive coach please do yourself a huge favor and see Jenise! I already feel a huge difference in my body and am more conscious of every part that is used during each session. I'll also add that I am plus size and was nervous about being able to keep up, but I am so relieved that Jenise modifies things for me and encourages me to do only what I feel comfortable enough doing. I truly feel that Jenise has changed my perspective on investing in myself. read more

While I am overall very active between weight training and various cardio activities, there are a number of areas in my fitness routine that requires significant focus. Jenise was extremely kind and provided a level of patience and a significant level of teaching/showing the "why" behind certain movements and the overall impact of the movement on the body from an alignment, form and strengthening standpoint. I'm excited to have discovered @pilateswithjenise, as I'm certain it will help me achieve both primary and secondary fitness goals. Thank you, Jenise!! read more

Jenise is the best. She has patience as well as encouragement on the spot with every rep during the workout. She is dedicated towards creating active physical motivation within everyone. I can't say enough great things about Jenise. From the moment you walk into her class, she emits energy and positivity that immediately makes you happy you are there with her. I attended her prenatal pilates classes religiously ahead of the birth of my first child and have never felt stronger. Now pregnant with my second, and unable to see her for a long time due to COVID, I see a noticeable difference in my body strength and disposition. I was finally able to go to a class last night and left feeling revived, strong, and elated to be back. Whether you are working with Jenise for prenatal, postnatal, or regular pilates, you will leave her class feeling a million times better than when you walked in. She's not only a great teacher but an awesome cheerleader as well. Thank you Jenise. Can't wait to take another class soon! read more

I had my first Pilates lesson with Jenise this week. I would say I am pretty active in general and I try to workout 3-4 times a week doing various workouts such as dance, yoga, Zumba and other reformer workout. Even though I work out regularly, I was not able to lose any weigh for the last 2 months. I told Jenise my trouble areas are my stomach and I wanted to tone my back. She catered the workout specifically to my request and I was definitely feeling the workout immediately that night. I was sore all over the next day and especially my abs, and my back!! I know if I keep this up, I will definitely get the result I want and know that I am working the right area and most importantly, working them correctly. Without Jenise, I would never have known I was working some of the wrong muscles which was adding to my shoulder and neck aches. Thank you so much for your lesson and I can't wait for our next lesson! read more

As a fellow instructor I enjoy taking other instructor's classes to see how they cue their clients as well as the modifications they offer their clients. Jenise knows her client's bodies and makes sure her clients understand the modification if they are unable to do the full movement. Jenise has a very warm and bubbly personality and immediately puts you at ease in her class. She has such a calming voice and her energy/vibe makes for a peaceful yet challenging workout which is something that I look for in an instructor. I am always challenged with new exercises every time I take one of her classes and I always feel my workout the next day, usually in my core and glutes. I encourage you to give Jenise a try as I am sure you will enjoy every minute of it. read more

Jenise is amazing! I have been doing megaformer fitness (lagree) for a while but wanted to learn more about the original Pilates method. Jenise is efficient and effective in her approach. I love that we jump right into it and she explains what she observes as I move. It's really great knowing she's invested in helping me progress and hyper attentive throughout the practice. Jenise will notice all the details about my posture and while it's tough to keep everything in mind I love how challenging it is. Jenise is also welcoming and friendly which makes Pilates more approachable. Excited to keep working with Jenise! read more

I take several types of a pilates classes a week - mat, reformer, springboard - as well as barre classes, if those count. My mat class with Jenise is the one I look forward to the most. Jenise provides a challenging, varying class each week. The mat class is during my lunch break and I feel great for the rest of the day. My core feels so tight and I find myself more mindful of my posture. It's much needed after spending so much time hunched over at my desk. Aside from that, Jenise is just an enjoyable person to be around. She is funny and remembers a lot about what's going on in your life. It's almost like taking pilates with a girlfriend you've known for years. I'm so glad I started seeing her! read more

I started working with Jenise in my second trimester of pregnancy. At the time, I was having a really rough time being pregnant; I felt awful from morning sickness, I had no energy and my whole entire body hurt constantly. Working with Jenise helped to relieve the pain and discomfort I was experiencing. I was really impressed with how Jenise tailored each of our sessions to what my body needed. I had developed diastsis recti pretty early on and she clued into that and shifted our work to focus on inner core strengthening that was safe for my condition. Her upbeat energy and positivity helped me regain my confidence and strength! She is so very knowledgeable about the human body.
