I was told that I would be reimbursed in two weeks. This unwanted transaction has hurt my finances and my trust with this business. I chose not to re-enroll due to a lack to cleanliness in the gym. I'm very disappointed with this experience.

I linked up with Mel and did 5 training sessions with him: 3 heavy lifts and 2 high-intensity interval training days. With Mel, I didn't miss a step. His consultation was thorough and it was evident he understood fitness both in the gym and outside to include diet and rest. Then out workouts were focused on accomplishing my stated goals. For weights, he was able to set up excellent workouts that utilized the great equipment in the resort gym. For HIIT, he set up some smoker circuit training in a nearby park and brought his own battle rope, TRX, sandbag, kettle bell and other goodies. Was amazing. Mel is also super focused on form as well so no injuries even when we went heavy. Cannot recommend him enough. The first class was free. I heard it was about $60 a month for unlimited classes. The inside is kind of grubby. I kept thinking about how they should repaint their ceiling, redecorate, and give everything a once over with Simple Green while I was doing sit-ups. The class was pretty full and had a wide range of ages and fitness levels in attendance so it wasn't as intimidating as I thought kickboxing would be. The people and instructors were nice. Really loud club music plays in the background on a sub-par sound system during the "toning" portion of the class that includes stretches and lunges and sit-ups and whatnot. The instructor was sort of drowned out by the music so I had trouble hearing what she said. No one seemed to be in sync either so I got the feeling that form wasn't a real priority. Or maybe everyone else had trouble hearing the instructor, too? The kickboxing portion of the class involves finding a partner and switching off kicking and punching pads, but I heard that they switch it up a lot so a different day might have a totally different feel.

The class is pretty laid back when you first start, there are varying levels, weights, and ages (above 13.) When I started the instructors do not push you too hard, form is not that important as long as you are doing your best. After about the first week however they get to know you and push you where you need it. Every class is different, and always fun. I would reccomend the morning classes as they are a lot less busy, and it jump-starts your whole day. I love this class and would suggest it to anyone.

As a new client, one of the first things the owner Sue did before our group class together was asked me if I had any injuries; I told her I sprained my ankle a few months back. She made a conscious effort to adjust my form and assist in specific stretches to support the proper healing of my injury. Her attention to every person and their needs in each class is incredible. I also had a 1:1 session with Sue for my sprained ankle -- her understanding of the body, its alignment and the implementation of healing strategies is remarkable.
