I was a member of SonomaFIT for some time, but I eventually needed to cancel my membership as well as a second account I was paying for. I canceled both accounts, but they were improperly handled, and I continued to be charged despite my cancellations. When I noticed I was still being billed, I reached out to resolve the issue but received no response. Eventually, I was connected with the manager, Leo Pardo. He assured me on multiple occasions that he would handle the situation and provided me with several dates when it would be resolved. However, these dates came and went with no resolution. Life got busy, so I set the issue aside for a while. When I returned to follow up, Leo started dodging my calls. Frustrated, I decided to confront him in person at the Oasis location, only to find him scrolling on TikTok and vaping inside the building. I found this extremely unprofessional, especially when he claimed he was too busy to address my issue while simultaneously engaging in such behavior. Shortly after, I learned that Leo was no longer the manager of all the locations--a smart decision on SonomaFIT's part. They replaced him with someone named Trey, though I have yet to confirm if Trey even exists. No one at any of the four locations seems to have his contact information, and I was told his base is in Petaluma. I took a trip to that location one afternoon, only to find the building completely empty. It's like the place is running itself. I've also heard rumors that SonomaFIT is experiencing financial difficulties, which I'm beginning to believe based on my experiences. On top of all that, they charge an annual fee to "maintain equipment," which seems redundant considering the monthly membership fee is already around $100. It feels like an unnecessary charge, especially given that the facilities lack essential amenities like a sauna, and the bathrooms are often dirty. SonomaFIT has some serious issues to address, from poor customer service to inadequate facility maintenance. I'm disappointed with my experience and cannot recommend this gym until they resolve these problems. read more

Terrible business practices! Stay away for your own safety. I attended this gym for five years, then told them I was leaving to get a joint membership with my daughter. This was at the beginning of Feb, 2022, so I paid them even though I was leaving just because they said that was their practice. Around March 15 there was a new unfamiliar charge they deducted from my credit card. When I inquired they told me it was an "equipment charge." I asked them to reverse the charge since I had given notice over a month ago I was. This is when they ghosted me, kept giving me the run around (call this number, ask for this person etc) and kept my money. I contacted them through their customer service email account. They took many months to finally respond, then emailed and told me they could not remove this charge and that I needed to contact the business directly. The person at the desk in the gym told me there was no phone number or email for me to use to contact the owner. They gave me someone's name (Ashley) and told me to call her. I called for Ashley over and over for many months, at least 18 months. I called repeatedly and she never responded. I called the gym repeatedly. I even called her at other Sonoma Fit gyms in other cities, but no response. So, basically they kept the unfair $75.00 charge on my bill, stole my money and ghosted me. How infuriating. I will tell all my friends to stay away from this place. read more

Bathrooms are so gross and need cleaning. They are almost worse than bathrooms at a gas station. For the price you pay at this gym, you would think that they would at least keep the bathrooms in better shape. Not just the cleaning but some of the doors to the bathroom stalls don't work properly. Also the soap for the hands seems to be watered down, which is gross. The lockers sometimes work and at times they don't. Staff is helpful while they are there and seem to do their best to help gym members. This just seems as a problem of the owner not up keeping the gym. I don't understand why they keep on raising prices to the membership but the quality of the gym is getting worse. As a local trying to support other locals who have a business, it is disappointing. Yet they continue to open up gyms all over when they clearly can't manage to keep up with the up-keeping of the gym. Overall gym staff is very nice so no complaints there. It's just the quality of what you pay for what you get. Equipment is great but when out of service, it takes a while for it to get repaired. read more

I am not a member of this gym but my 18 year old daughter is. An incident happened shortly after she joined. I contacted management and received a response in a some what timely manner. After the first email I had questions about policies and protocols it was weeks in between response. I was basically dismissed and totally brushed off. Front of the house did great when the incident happened. They only have one manager who takes weeks to respond to emails and that you can't reach by phone. Being that they have expanded and have so many locations I would assume they would have a harassment policy. Shocked the management basically said it's never been an issue.... Seems crazy to not have something in place this is not a small mom and pop gym. Disappointed in the lack of follow threw and management is a joke. read more

This gym pegs itself as a premium gym, but it is anything but. For $110 a month the facility and the services are severely lacking. In San Rafael, the locker rooms are filthy regularly, and I learned from a staff member that they are only cleaned once a week. Junk is on the floor, the wastebasket is almost always full, the floor tiles are dirty. In the men's room, only one soap dispenser works and the other sink faucet works. This has been the case for several months. Often, there is no soap in the dispenser. There are 20 lockers but almost all of them are locked permanently. I've notified the staff about this but nothing gets done to unlock them, so only a few of them are available to use. This is a gigantic inconvenience when the gym is full. It's such a shame because with only a little effort the gym owners could show their clients that they care and that they are committed to quality. read more

The space and equipment are great. My number one complaint and one that I have pointed out many times to management is the gym is dirty. The locker room is dirty. The showers are dirty. The gym was painted months ago. Sheet rock work was done and sanded. There is still sheet rock dust on window sills and on the ground throughout the gym. There are signs asking customers to wipe down equipment, when are the owners going to start having the place cleaned on a regular basis? read more

Sick gym. I like the gyms that cater to different sports like, cross fit, boxing, cycling and track and not just weights. His place was great. I started warming up on their artificial turf and proceeded to use heir boxing bag for my cardio workout after. Strength training came next and I found this place to have everything I need. The equipment was virtually brand new. They had a ton of squat racks, benches and weights. While I was here I saw a cycling and a yoga class going on. I also believe hey have a babysitting next door. 6 Months in I could not imagine having made a better investment in myself than the one I have made getting myself back into shape at Sonoma Cycle Fit! Before attending Sonoma Cycle Fit I thought I was in good enough shape, I was running, 10+ miles, and working out. Despite my best efforts I had pain in my lower back and my knees were constantly aching, my IT band was pulled so tight I had issues putting on my shoes. I've had 3 reconstructive knee surgeries and have been looking for a way to get back into balance for years. I got my legs back attending Spin Classes, my knees feel solid again, so much so I hit the powder snowboarding 4 days straight 5+ hours a day - I haven't been able to do that for 10 years. TRX classes got my core back, no more back pain. The classes are intense but you set your own pace. I really can't say enough positive things about the instructors, staff, and programs, can't wait to update again in a year. read more

Weekday around 2pm and it's not packed but the clients present are in insane shape. Definitely going to try their TRX class after being introduced to it over Pilates reformed class. I've been with Sonoma fit for over a year now. I opened a yelp account just to write this review. Waking into Sonoma fit you will be greeted with a smiling face. I have to say the front desk staff is great. Always cheerful and welcoming. Let's get to the point and talk about the gym equipment! Most machines I get on will have an issue. One of the ellipticals tv is broken, one will have a broken fan, another machine is making a loud clicking noise. Other machines will be broken for over a week. The cycle room, don't get me started! Most bikes have issues. Not displaying your speed, incline, calories, time. Etc. clips are broken, screens low on battery, your seat is too lose, and the bike issue go on and on. I don't get it. For $80+ a month. Offer working equipment! The cycle room can't offer a have a full class because so many bikes have issues. I get it machines get wear and tear however I've been with other gyms and have never experienced such disappointment! Also why are there so many parked dealership cars parked on the property!? Save the parking spots for your paying customers! Ive seen paying gym customers park at the clinic next door due to no parking. Take your money else where people. You're better off. read more

Since relocating to Sonoma three years ago I've been a member of the other large health club in town. My experience there has been below average as the club is small, cramped, dated and, frankly, depressing. And then along comes Sonoma Fit. 15,000 newly built out square feet of the latest state of the art equipment. It's staffed by genuinely nice, enthusiastic folks who are committed to member satisfaction. I went on opening day and have been almost every day since. It's a pleasure to workout there. If your looking for a pool, steam room and jacuzzi, this is not your club. If you are looking to get a terrific workout in a clean, modern facility that has just about any piece of equipment or class you may need to reach your goals, this is your place. The nicest gym in Sonoma. All of the equipment is well maintained. I love the towel service and personal TV on the cardio equipment. You definitely pay a premium for these perks but it's worth it. The TRX and cycle classes I have taken are so FUN. The patrons are a friendly bunch without being overbearing. I also really dig the lower lighting. if you want a quick, effective and fun workout that gets you quick results, this is the place! They offer a lot classes through out the day, at least 2-3 before 8am for those of us who need to get to work or drop off kids, other times for me are after 10am and lunchtime for an efficient 45 minute cardio blast. The Cycle room is dark with club lighting and the instructors play great music to set the mood. The TRX component gives you nice lean, long muscles and focuses on the most important area core! My favorite classes are the 50/50 which is 30 minute cycle, and 30 minute TRX for ultimate economy. The owners are fantastic and are instructors as well. They seem very present in their business making adjustments as needed and signing in is a breeze with their phone app. They just opened last September, but already a welcome addition to Sonoma! read more

Best thing to happen to Sonoma!! I can honestly say this place has changed my life and my love for fitness. I was definitely not an active person and was in terrible shape before attending here and now I'm stronger than I have ever been in my life. The results are amazing. The atmosphere and the instructors are INCREDIBLE that it becomes addicting and makes you WANT to come and work out. Every single instructor is amazing and motivates you to the fullest pushing you to where you never thought you could push before. I have been following Jenny around this town for years now. She has always been an amazing instructor....intense, funny, on the pulse of fitness and training, strong-overall just awesome. I swear after opening this facility with her husband, Adam, she has taken it to an even higher level (if that is possible). For a teeny lady she will hand you your butt every time! And Sonoma Fit has ensured that all of the instructors follow this standard. I am always challenged here-any class, any instructor. I've never been a "gym person." I've dabbled here and there over the years but nothing really stuck. Until I joined Sonoma Fit. Why? Why did it stick this time? The PEOPLE! The team that works the front desk, the instructors, the trainers, the owners AND the members! They have the best, positive, uplifting, motivating and encouraging people working there. And the classes are AMAZING! Such great variety and FUN...so many laughs! I was a bit hesitant and shy at first but everyone makes you feel so welcome - no matter your "skill level" or strength or whatnot. The energy, support, kindness, motivation is what keeps me going - I can't believe that now I actually look forward to going and I am mad when I have to miss a class. Check them out!
