The sweet plantains were soooo good, they reminded me of turons except sliced. Only complaint was that it felt like we had five different servers, which made it hard to get consistent attention or feel any personal connection to the service, especially with our table tucked away in the corner, leading to slow and scattered service. When I was debating what sweet empanadas to take back home, I saw that they not only had sweet empanadas, but they had vegan and gluten-free black forest cake. I did not have the space to eat it, but I sure did bring it home. The black forest cake did not disappoint. It was delicious. The server was super kind and attentive. Majority of food on the plate was not hot and not warm -- not the chicken, not the rice, not the beans. At the previous location, you could see the chickens roasting on the spit, and the food arrived hot and fresh. Here, I'm not sure what's happening behind the scenes, but the food temps indicate it had all been sitting. The only item that was freshly prepared were the plantains. I didn't bring it up to the server because she was checked out the entire time, and honestly, I can't expect her to remedy the kitchen if she can't bring waters. Why is the kitchen sending out food that clearly isn't hot? Is it being held in a steamer? If so the temps are not being checked and that becomes a food safety issue beyond quality‑control issues. Service itself also missed the mark. The pretty glasses are small -- though pretty-- and I had to flag the server down for refills. Same with the sauces that are supposed to come with the meal; they only arrived after I asked. To be clear it was 1:00 on a Monday and there was one other table in the place at arrival, and one table after our arrival. I had been planning another visit to introduce a different friend, but after this experience, I don't think I'll be returning. Hers had vegan chorizo and mine was a gluten free version with chicken. I didn't love mine. It was okay but it tasted like they took the chicken stuffing out or the freezer and then deep fried it. The outside was hot but the inside was cold. I also had their chicken and rice soup which was awesome and we got an order of their gluten free Brazilian cheese bread which was fantastic. For entrees, we both got the tacu tacu-hers with veggies and tofu and me with chicken, but gluten free. We both loved our meals. Mine was very soy sauce-y with sweetness, like honey added. There was also enough rice and beans for 6 servings. The fact that I loved and ate it all makes me fat. My wife really liked hers, too, but not being a fatty fat fat like me, she didn't stuff herself to the point of exploding. We each got a drunk, too. Very good! I just…read morewrapped up a meal here in June '26. It's a quiet Wednesday evening and I sat at the bar and was immediately greeted by a friendly bartender. In less than 2 minutes I had a delicious margarita and ice water placed in front of me. Margarita is top notch - they don't skimp on the booze here. I asked the kind lady to surprise me with dinner and it did not disappoint! Overall, very please with both the service and quality here. If I'm in the area again I will definitely return!
