I had been growing my hair for about 6 months and needed to find a barber. I moved here in NOV 22. I realized one of my daughters had seriously been showing up every single time with the freshest haircuts. Gotta ask her and she hooked me up right away. I will happily drive from Towson early in the morning to meet Kevin. He is the best. His demeanor is professional yet I had the most fun when we collaborated together to give me a cut that wasn't "tradtional." I know I only have a small area of hair on the sides and back to work with and he got that and hooked me right up. I'm definitely returning. This has been on my mind for almost a couple months now, I was trying to decide whether or not I should write this review, I decided to. I had been going there off and on for a few years because the barber I liked left, but I would go there out of convenience between other barber shops to check out other barbers. I'm not going to mention any names in particular but he's always there, I'm sure you know him, I think he sits in the second chair. My last and final visit was not very good at all, very unprofessional, and I feel violated. I always make appointments, but I have to wait 30 minutes while he cuts someone's hair during the time, I made an appointment for, it never fails and when I'm in his chair he spends more time texting and talking than cutting my hair then rushes to finish towards the end. My last visit with him he walked off in the middle of my haircut, he didn't bother to excuse himself and didn't say anything when he came back either, then pushed me back in my seat when I leaned forward. I feel violated, the only place on my body he should be touching is my head area, not on my chest or anywhere else, I'm a paying customer, not a project to be walked away from to do whatever and finish they're ready. I'm not going to say every barber at Pikasso Kutz are the same, the other barbers that are professional with their customers. My brother was going there too before I told him what happened, he didn't like that at all, and I don't blame him. read more

I have been coming here for over four years now and I was glad my wife found this place. It's busy at the usual time and days like the weekend so I come off-peak. The people here are friendly and will give you free handshake after each hair cut. My man. I recommend this place and I will continue to support it. read more

My elderly relative was in need of a haircut before surgery three years ago. They took good care of him at the last minute. Fast forward to this year since the pandemic. I went in for a haircut and left with a sore scalp and cuts all over. My mans Duane way to tough with those clippers. I feel like he was trying to knock me out the way he was hitting the clippers against my skull. I don't know if he practices on a mannequin and forgets how to be with a human head but he didn't need to apply so much pressure. He clearly sharpens his blades daily because I left with cuts all over my head. The clippers was rough, the combing was rough, the brush was rough, the tilting my head was rough. If I go back I definitely need to go to someone else cause the pain ain't worth it. read more

My sister was visiting from out of town and was badly in need of a hair cut last Saturday. She wears her hair natural and it had grown quite a bit over the last few months. I called the shop and was able to get an appointment in 30 minutes. The barber named "Wood" did an excellent job! The place was very nice and clean. Duane shaped me up and had me feeling and looking like a million bucks!!! This spot is clean and the barbers are true professionals!

Awful. DONT GO. Cut the lower half of my hair for 45 minuets. Scratched me for a hour with his comb. Horrific job. Second chair to the left.

It's a pretty dope spot. I had a hard time finding a shop in the area so I was excited that I stumbled upon this place. It's actually my second time coming here and both cuts were exceptional. The environment is laid back and there is plenty of debate going on if you're into that type of thing. Pretty typical for a barbershop. I usually DON'T do NEG. posting BUTttttttt I'm so MAD!!!!!This was THE WORST experience EVER ... I looked up the reviews on this particular barbershop and it got pretty good reviews so I decided to give it a try... Knowing that it was later in the day that I wanted my haircut I called the barbershop to see how late they were working and to see how much they charge for a haircut... Over the phone I was told $15 not bad at all because I usually get charged $20.... I have been wearing my hair short for over 10 years and never have had to show a picture of how I wanted my haircut, however I wanted a particular cut ***faded around the sides and curly on top and I wanted my curls to fade into the shortest part (that's called BLENDING) (Nothing REAL fancy... Basically a REGULAR boy cut and longer on the top) The only difference from the picture that I wanted was I wanted my sideburns pointed instead of faded out...I showed Guy the picture he said no problem, he said he understood... After he finished cutting my hair I look in the mirror and I told him that I wanted my back faded out just like the picture I showed him... He told me I don't think you really want your back faded that low... I started thinking to myself maybe he don't know how to do it, He said that he got it as low as he could, it was the lighting that made it look like it wasn't faded... I said I think the top should be cut a little lower because it's too long it doesn't blend... he told me to work with it and if it did not work out to come back and he would fix it... Feeling very frustrated I rushed home to wash my hair put some product in it ONLY TO FIND that my hair was way to long like I told him and to find out that he cut my sides VERY uneven it was not the lighting and on top of all of this he charge me $20 instead of $15 (The $$$ is NOT a issue, just don't tell me one thing and do something else... I called him to let him know the issues that I was having he said come back the next morning . Ummmm Yeah NO!!!after sleeping on it I decided not to take a chance on him FU$&@ my hair up anymore than what he already did... I decided to fix the problem myself and cut my own hair like I always do... I just wanted to pampered myself this particular day and have someone cut it for me...after growing it out for so long and this is the worst experience I have ever had, it literally look like someone put a bowl on the top of my head and with The SHORTEST GUARD made everything even with no type of fade/ blending to be seen!!! I would NOT recommend this place to anyone,bad business!!! Oh yeah and I did not mention that there was a young man getting his haircut directly across from me (his haircut was very nice) and I showed him the front of his hair, he words to me was OH YEAH that's exactly how mine was going to look... (GOOD LORD) he couldn't even get my shape up straight/ it was crooked in the front of my head... He said he had been cutting hair for five years BULL Sh!@&... who in the F&$@ taught him how to cut OMFG I COULD SCREAM... -VERY UNHAPPY!!! read more

This place has plenty of barbers. Pretty busy, but unorganized chaos to me coming in as a single mom who doesnt have all day. My kids are regulars, but there uncle usually takes them with no problem. But, as a women here I had issues. I really didn't know about haircuts because I typically don't take them. It was clear, I didn't know what was going on. They could have worked with me. The original barber that I asked to cut my sons hair said he had three in front of him. But, you could tell he started moving in his friends or whoever in front of my son. So, he was on his 5th hair cut while we waited. So, I asked another barber to cut my sons hair. I appreciate him working him in. But, the barber that cut my sons hair was very lax. I left a nice tip as I would do for any service. Ultimately, my youngest son ended up with a horrible haircut after waiting for 3 hours! I will not be coming here again! But, maybe this is the norm for black barber shops. I'll try somewhere else. read more

One of the hottest barber shops around Baltimore. Most of the barbers are masters of the craft. It can get a little rowdy at times with they discuss sports. But overall a good shop!!! They can cut any type of hair. Check them out you won't be disappointed. read more
