They have a 5 minute late policy. Don't bother showing up 7 minutes late, they will not work with you even if you call them

The one on Heritage Trace was wonderful. Michelle did a great job with my 2 year old grandson

I let my husband take my daughter in for a trim and she came out with a crew cut. They literally shaved the back of her neck. It's not even long enough for some bangs at the top. It's possible her natural curly spirals are gone for good. Apparently, combing the knots out of her curly hair was too difficult so practically shaving her head was the solution. She did not realize how it was going to look, she thought it would be at her shoulders. She is devastated now. I have combed the knots out of this hair many many times. Yes, her hair is a challenge, but it was not a nest. Water, conditioner, separating into sections, these are the basics, right? I honestly think this was laziness on the part of her hair dresser. I also believe it could be the result of absolute cruelty and/or incredible stupidity. read more

We had excellent service today! I always book my kids appointments on-line and they tend to have back to back appointments. Today, I received a text ,10 minutes before our scheduled time, stating they are ready if we wanted to arrive early. Since the other appointment hadn't yet arrived, both of my sons got their hair cuts simultaneously. The appointment arrived and the stylist quickly let me know that she had to attend to them and would resume. What l expected to take us 40 minutes took 20 minutes. They did a fantastic job and the stylist working on my oldest showed us how to style his hair to go with his cowlick. He's almost 11 and we are just now figuring that out!‍ needless to say he was thrilled! We are never disappointed i but today was exceptional! read more

Took my son here for his very first haircut! Mary was absolutely amazing with him, she did a fantastic job even when he wouldn't stop moving. Highly recommend Pigtails & Crewcuts to anyone! read more

Unacceptable service. I was 8 minutes late for my 2 boys appointments and I was told by a stylist I was 10minutes late not 8. and that we would have to wait two hours. She just wanted us to leave and I wasn't going to. The owner of this establishment gave my some really fake apology and then proceeded to tell me I was late. I told her I wait on other people all of the time and she was being rude and her behavior was definitely not that of anyone who should own a kid friendly business. read more

I truly had the most disgusting experience with a worker at this location today. My family has never been here before and never will. My just turned 3 year old was LOOKING THROUGH THE WINDOW and a woman who works there came out and said "aw hi sweety", knelt down to her level and put both her arms around her touching her and completely violating my child. This woman is a creep, she is disturbed and should not be working with children. She justified touching my child as "oh I work with children in there" I told her you are a stranger do not touch her and back away. My daughter got in the car with my other baby and my mother and said mommy I'm scared she scared me. What a fucking thing to do to a child. After I buckled my children in I told my mother I was going in to really say something to this woman. I made it very very clear how wrong it was what she did and that she should not be working with children. Do yourself a favor and do not bring your children who you love here. No one should be getting in their car with their toddler saying mommy I'm scared... my daughters innocent sweet little soul. We've lived here for 2 years and have never had something so bazar and invasive feeling happen. Piece of shit bitch if I wasn't pregnant my reaction would have been 10 times more intense. read more

ALLIE R. is wonderful with my son and VERY patient!! We've gotten a few haircuts with her now and I always appreciate how she speaks to him & asks him genuine questions to keep him engaged. We just had an amazing experience here! I have 2 boys, ages 4 and 5, and we just stopped by today after school. The ladies working there greeted us as we walked in and everyone was very friendly the entire time we were there. As soon as my boys sat down, a lady set up a video game for them to play. They had a blast playing a Lego video game while they got their haircut. Both ladies who cut their hair were friendly and patient with me and my boys throughout the whole cut. And they gave my boys the best haircuts they've ever had! After the cut, they got to pick out a lollipop and a small toy. It was definitely the best and most fun haircut they've ever had. We'll be back for sure! :) read more

Super cool haircut place that cuts the kids hair in different types of chairs. For instance they have a fire truck, airplane and other fun seats for the kiddies to sit in and make a haircut a bit more enjoyable for the kids. They cut boys and girls hair and they also perform adult haircuts. So this is truly a 1 stop shop for us. For this waiting they also have a very cool play area and nice couch type seating. We went toward the end of the day and got right in! I am sure they have their busy periods (days and times), so you might want to call ahead. As far as the haircuts go, I can only attest to my haircut and those of my boys. Not sure about girls and woman styles, but they did a great job on our haircuts. The next time you need a haircut or style, you owe it to yourself to try them out! read more

I brought my daughter her for her first cut and asked for a swing cut. Deanna was the stylist and she had to cut her hair 3 times and 45 mins later it still wasn't right and that's a long time for a 3 year old to sit perfectly still which she had. After we got home I realized it was way worse than I thought so I called and told the lady at the front what happened and got zero apology NOTHING! She just asked if I wanted a refund. Awful! Will never come back. read more

First off the place looks clean when you walk in and not over crowded like a ton of places that we have gone to. There is a train table and even a cry room in the back which was awesome (even though most of the parents with crying kids did not use it). Usually dislike these places to take my kids to because they are super overpriced but this place was resonable. All in all seems like the best place in this area for a first haircut and beyond. read more

Disappointed in the over all experience, but I will say the girl who gave my son his first haircut did a good job. Nobody was very friendly in the salon. Also disappointed that we had to wear masks. I thought this was a family owned business, but it did not give me any family vibes. Also- first haircut is not free! read more

Very nice place for kid haircut. Staff are very friendly and skilled. Price is also very reasonable! Highly recommend!

Tried this out after first haircut at Sharkys off Denton hwy went ok. Night and day experience! The receptionist here was super friendly! She blew bubbles while my son got a haircut which calmed him down. The stylist at sharkys put my sons head in a headlock, this stylist managed to cut the hair without doing that. The cars are also smaller and more fitted for my 10 month, I didn't feel like he was going to fall out vs the trucks at sharkys and also the waiting area here is much bigger. We'll be regulars for sure read more

It's seems expensive for a kid cut, but so worth it. Nice place, kids love it! My son normally does not like getting his hair cut, but he enjoyed it this time. The staff is very friendly. I will be coming back! read more

We love Pigtails and Crewcuts. It's the only place we go for both our daughter's haircuts (ages 2 and 10 Months). The owner is wonderful and our favorite hairstylist is Wendy. We've been going for about a year. The price is definitely worth it considering 2 year old daughter looks forward to getting her haircut. They have televisions at each station, a treasure chest as a prize after the haircut or animal crackers/Lolly pop. read more

My son and I had a great experience here. He is a little over 18 months and has had a few hair cuts at a Great Clips but he always cried and he never could get a nice short clean haircut because he just wasn't comfortable and wouldn't cooperate so I wanted to go to somewhere that specializes kids cuts and found this place. Allie was our hair dresser and she was so friendly and did a wonderful job. My child didn't cry at all and enjoyed the car chair, the stickers on the pedal and the show on the TV. It all kept him perfectly distracted and he ended up with a wonderful cut. We will be going back again. read more

Worst experience I have had at a haircut place. Refused to cut my son's hair even though we had an appointment and there were three people just standing around. read more

The hair dressers are not friendly AT ALL! They don't make small talk with the child or the parents. I have a special needs child and he slouches a bit and the hair dresser kept yanking him to sit up instead of asking him to sit up. Again, with no communication to the child and/or parent. I'm just not keen on hairdresser that don't make it an enjoyable experience for the child. read more

Typically we go to Sharkys in Southlake, but my little needed a haircut, and we were in the area so we decided to check it out. It's super cute inside and it *looks* kid friendly. Our stylist was not friendly, at all. She seemed annoyed to even be there. When I asked about shampooing and conditioning before the cut I was told no. At that point, I said ok, but I'd still like her hair washed and conditioned. That was blown off. My kiddo had a few tangles and the stylist was yanking and pulling to the point my kid was in tears so I took over and spent time getting her hair untangled for the cut (could have totally been done through a good wash first, like I asked!). The cut itself went well and looks good. After the cut I again asked for the wash and dry and was informed, with attitude, it would be an extra charge. I agreed to the charge and it was washed. What I wasn't told is that "quick dry" is only about 1/3 of the way dry. My kid was, again, in tears because she didn't want wet hair. I asked if it could be dried a bit more. It is, after all, 60 degrees outside! At that point, I was informed, with major attitude, that would be another $11. I paid the extra money and had my kiddo's hair dried. I left super annoyed. Sharkys does all of it for one charge, and their staff is so much better with kids. read more

We visited this location on June 9, 2017 for what would be our 10th visit to pigtails and crewcuts for our 2 year old grandson with sensory processing issues. We live in Euless and I have always felt that the service was worth the drive. Our grandson has always had a simple scissor cut and the stylists have always been very understanding with his issues. Not on this occasion! Our grandson was having a exceptionally good day! He waited patiently for his turn and was super excited to get his hair cut. His stylist Melissa walked up, asked what we needed done and I explained that our grandson has sensory issues and doesn't like the clippers. That is when she preceded to say that she would try but the clippers were safer and she really felt it was best for my Grandson. He has had 10 haircuts at this location in the manner we were requesting. She kept trying to impress her opinions on us to the point I felt very uncomfortable. I decided we would leave. She kept on trying to insist I accept her "safer " haircut to the point she was very argumentative. We were trying to leave my daughter was trying to get my granddaughter in her car seat so we could leave and the stylist continued. I looked to the receptionist and asked if she was the manger and she said she was and I repeatedly asked her to ask the stylist to stop. She did nothing and the stylist continued. I have never felt so embarrassed and verbally assualted in my life. We did not deserve to be treated this way. I will take him to Southlake from now on! read more

I've taken my son and daughter both here. Even when they are packed we don't wait long. They have great customer service, clean facility, decent prices for kids haircuts, and great with the kids. Never had any issues and my kids hair looks great. This last time Hailey and Allie did the kids hair. Loved them both. I am personally also a cosmetologist so I know what to look for and expect and can have high expectations. They exceed them all. read more

I took my children there for the first time and I was not pleased with their service at all. Two different women cut my boys hair and neither one was nice. They were very abrupt and just not friendly. My one year old cried the whole time and he usually does but she did not do anything to try to console him and she cut his hair too short after I specifically told her how much to cut. I will not be returning there for future hair cuts for my boys because for $18.95 you would expect more...at least a smile. read more

Just brought our grandson here for the 2nd time and were lucky enough to get Melissa as our stylist again. This is the only place I will take my kids to get a haircut. They absolutely love this location and look forward to their next haircut! Always a great experience here! Staff is upbeat and patient with the children and parents. Highly recommend!

I took my 7 & 3 year old to a well known kids here. They advised me to leave my 7 yr old in there and take my 3 yr old to my car and wait since they do not allow a third person from same group. I see groups of one parent and one child in there. I asked if I have to leave my 3 yr old by himself in the salon and take my 7 yr old to my car since the third person isn't allowed. The answer was "Yes, you need to leave your 3 yr old in here and take your 7 yr old to your car with you." I will not allow my 3 yr old to stay in there all by himself surrounded by strangers and he will not understand why mommy can't stay with him. Seriously, he is only 3. They said they can not accommodate my situation, because it is their policy. I walked out and went to Sports clip down the street and they had no problem with me bringing 2 children at the same time. They had my 7 yr old get his cut by himself and I was able to stand next to my 3 yr old and hold his head for the stylist. . I guess I will not take my kids to that haircut salon since I am a single parent who refuses to leave my 3 yr old alone in a salon. This place was the only place we used to go but we are never going back. read more

It's a cute place, but overpriced in my opinion. I paid $18 for her to wet my daughter's hair and trim it. And they weren't very friendly with the kiddos. Didn't talk to my girls or anything. They do have toys and T.V.s, so if you need that to keep them still it may be worth the price for ya. But if you add in a shampoo and blow dry it's almost 30 bucks! read more

I have been taking my baby boy to this place since he was so little and he is almost two now they did such a good Job with calming him down and entertaining him. How ever yesterday when I had went I took him for a hair cut and Wendy this girl she took care of him she started off good,I then suggested that she should just trim the front hair and I made sure she dsnt cut a lot of his hair cuz I was trying to grow His for a long time and she didn't even consider. , what I was saying and kept chopping it off and in the middle of the hair cut. I kept telling her please your taking to much off and she said I am Taking off how much you told me to take off. At this point I was so frustrated that she wasn't listening a and kept having this mean look and chopping more and more off. If we are not there to suggest what exactly we want then I am not sure why she's even in this field she's suppose to listen and comprehend and consider so she can deliver better. she did such a horrible job kept going in and trimming trimming his hair and made his hair so short. I am so so disappointed that people like Wendy really do not care !!!! What so ever I have few events coming up and she completely screwed us!!! Wendy does horrible at cuts I came home and gave him a shower and combed it realized they are so uneven and she didn't ever set his hair up she was so mad for no reason I mean come on not your kid lol ... highly do not recommend you consider her just be warned she has a temper I wish I had changed her .... the rest of the ladies that work there are so Sweet and she seems to be new and she sucks Wendy u are horrible darling !!!!!! I love the place tho but because of Wendy I am thinking whether or not I should keep going to this place or not. read more

BEST place to take little kiddos for haircuts and such. They have chairs that look like cars and planes which helps the itty bitty ones! They have toys to play with while the kids are waiting. There is even a prize for each kiddo to take home at the end. We will be loyal customers here. Also Ashley was a wonderful stylist and very patient. They also have healthy and non-healthy treats for the little ones. My little guy love munching on the animal crackers. YUMMY!!! Best of all we left with an awesome haircut. this is the 1st time I've been here, however, my wife has taken our kids two separate occasions and she said that she loved it as she had the same person both times the good, the place is kept really clean and has tons of toys for the little ones and consoles (PS4 & Xbox One) for the older kids the bad, their hours of operations are listed to close at 6pm on a weekday, we got there at 530 and had two boys with short hair that needed a trim, however, after what i imagine was a long day for the staff they were not very happy to see us, when another customer walked in at 10 till 6 the face of the staff went from annoyed to just angry of a 'late arrival' and as a former employee of a retail store i can relate to wanting to go home early / on time however, the attitude as if they were doing us a favor by taking us in late in the day the ugly, as we were almost the last customers for the days i noticed that my kids (2yr and 1yr old) that had done really well before on their previous haircuts cried this time around they started noticing why, as the staff was rushing to finish their haircuts i noticed that they were a bit rough, i don't mean manhandling them or anything of that sorts but a as the previous hair cut on my 2yrs old the lady would ask my son to turn to the left/right up/down to get the angle she needed, this time around the ladies would just 'move' the kids head, by the time they finished the kids where really annoyed and i can't blame them we might go back if we can schedule an appointment with the lady that had previously cut our kids hair when my wife took the kids otherwise we are not going back read more
