I normally don't sleep good the first night away from home but had no problem getting a good nights sleep. The decorations were perfect and a constant reminder that we were in the smokies. We enjoyed the pool table and the relaxing feel of the cabin. I'm so happy we decided on this particular cabin. Our next visit we'll be staying at Family Memories. Mike and Chrissy were great hosts and checked in with us a couple times to ensure we were happy with everything and had no problems. Don't hesitate to book one of their properties. There's plenty of parking, clean restrooms, an indoor museum with a gift shop, the Mountain Farm Museum, hiking trails, and a large pasture where you might have the opportunity to see elk. We had a quick stop over so we didn't get to explore too much of the area, especially because we had our dog with us and it was quite a hot day. The indoor museum was curated well and was informative on the life in the Appalachians. The gift shop was nice, well stocked, and had plenty of options. I always buy something from National Park centers as a donation. I bought a sticker, a patch, and a magnet. They also have stamps for your National Park Passports, too!

You may see bears, so drive slowly and be prepared to stop (carefully!) for wildlife! The farm here was so peaceful and next to the stream, and there's a museum on site as well. There were baby birds screaming from a nest above the bathroom, too, which was bonus wildlife since I saw a bear slightly further in, but no elk this time!

There's a swimming pool, arcade, laundry, and a store onsite, which makes it convenient for families and longer stays. The RV sites are a bit close together, but we didn't have any trouble backing our 34' 5th wheel into our spot. We stayed right by the river, which was beautiful, though the site did slope toward the water. It looks like most of the riverfront sites are similar, so bringing extra blocks is a good idea. The non‑river sites with concrete pads looked level, and the gravel pads seemed well maintained too. Each site comes with a picnic table, fire ring, and full hookups. There's a hotel across the river, but it didn't bother us at all. Overall, we were happy with our stay--the location is great, the park is clean, and the amenities are solid. We'd definitely recommend Camp RiversLanding to anyone visiting Pigeon Forge, especially if you want to be close to the river.

The water pressure and hot water was amazing. The pools inside and outside were very nice. The whirlpool was warm and the jets provided good movement of the water. Only complaint is the breakfast. The food needed to be warmer (better heaters), there were no condiments ( ketchup, hot sauce, salsa, mustard, and etc.). The coffee was not hot. Otherwise the stay was enjoyable and being off the strip made it quiet.

Could easily be avoided by placing WIFI code by router. The windows on the cabin don't appear to have been cleaned since the Obama administration. The bath tub looked like it had been caulked by a two year old. The frying pans looked to have been cooked on over a campfire and were warped badly. Front porch feels like it is falling off the cabin. The outside porch severely needed stained and varnished. There was nowhere as group of six could sit and talk without moving furniture from room to room or floor to floor. This rental looked very tired and worn out. More like a $100 a night rental then $400 a night. On the upside the beds were clean and comfortable and the bathrooms were as well with the exception of the poor job of caulking. In summary there wasn't much great about the GREAT OUTDOORS!!

There is a clear lane for slowing down and a long lane for getting back onto the highway. There is a very large parking area. There is a small shelter with local information.
