I was leaning more towards four stars but stuck with three because it IS expensive for what you actually get, the space itself is pretty tiny and it can be a bit crazy if the admission slot you purchase is sold out. I have to admit, I liked this experience more than I thought I would. Sure, it has the tourist trap instagram photo spots, but it has some degree of an educational experience that I wasn't expecting. They have signage explaining some of the illusions and the science behind them. This is what I mean when I said you can blow through our spend more time. You get more out of the experience (and will spend more time there) if you take the time to read why the various illusions work. I'm a knowledge junkie, so this was really fun for me. Your best experience will be if you follow the guidelines they have posted. Each exhibit has places marked on where to stand to get the illusion and the best spot to take the photo. I have to admit, you can get some really creative and fun ones! Although those are the ones you often have a long wait for. There is very helpful staff rotating throughout the experience. I just wish they would gently push some of the people along that seem to take FOREVER to get the "perfect" shot. I came back to the building illusion (the one where you can make it look like you are hanging off the top of a building or sitting on ledge) and ten minutes later the same two girls were still taking pictures despite there being a line behind them. Exhibits are well maintained and the staff is informative. It should just have a lower price point for what you get. Parking is street parking (good luck with that on busier days) or you can park in one of the nearby garages (which would add to your expense). There is a gift shop on the way out with a variety of items ranging from magnets and pins to shirts and games. Is it worth a visit? Sure, but try to find a coupon or buy when they have some sort of promotion to make it more affordable.

The poor bartender had to run all over the restaurant. He had to ring you up, make drinks, bring people their food, fix their games and handle any drama that came up on the games. He was so nice and gave great service. The French fries with cheese,, bbq and fried chicken was good. I love a lot of condiments normally but this was a bit much. I enjoyed it but would have preferred a fried chicken sandwich. My husband said the fried chicken and Seasoned Crinkle Fries were excellent. Would like to go back to play duck pin bowling and the awesome video games. I bet it would be fun.

Service was fine, everyone was helpful and quick. The ambiance is incredible. Old cartoon characters and stylish variety throughout the place. The issue is the games are outrageously priced. Compare this to Pins where the games are free and it's a no question in my mind where I would go for an arcade night. My fear is that despite decent food and an awesome atmosphere this place will be closed when their greed with their games comes back to bite them. I wish them well but have decided after a few trips, I've had my last

The museum does not have its own parking lot, so you will need to find street parking. However, there seemed to be plenty of options in the area. They exhibits are spread out over various floors and areas. They have a suggested path, but you can really explore at your own pace and interest. The "famous" work is the polka dot room which is really intriguing and visually appealing. My daughter like to say "art is all about how the artist sells it and what you make of it" and this is the perfect place to put that mentality into effect. There were some pieces that I was just baffled about being "art" and there were others that while I personally didn't enjoy them, I could appreciate the time and talent that went in to creating them. If you are looking for a unique museum experience, this is definitely the place for you.

For $75 we didn't know what to expect, but we expected our experience to be at least double what those who purchased general admission received. Not quite. When we arrived we received a wrist band that gave us access to the VIP lounge where there were supposed to be savory "heavy" appetizers. While the cheese plates were beautiful, the cheese was very standard, lots of yellow and white cubes, and the occasional wedge of brie. There were 2-3 other bite sized apps, but we were left underwhelmed. Not to worry though...we didn't come there for the apps anyway, we came for the CHOCOLATE! Well...that's when it all went awry. There were lines. Not just a few. There were lines everywhere. And they were long, and they didn't move. As we looked over the balcony we could see huge crowds in the grand lobby so we opted to get in line on the 3rd floor. After 45 minutes, we made it to the chocolate beer station and picked up one biscotti from Enrico Biscotti. While the biscotti was delicious, 45 minutes is a little crazy. We ended up passing up the chocolate beer and grabbed a toothpick with a delicious bite from Senti before making our way down to the second floor. This is when it all went from bad to worse. We waited in line for another hour. This time for a few chocolate truffles and a shot of wigle whiskey. By this time everyone around us was so equally frustrated it wasn't even fun anymore. With about 20 minutes to spare we made our way down to the grand lobby and thank goodness for Cioppinos and the Milkshake Factory!! These people were running a well oiled machine and pumping out hearty portions of flourless chocolate cake, milkshakes, and chocolate candy by the bowlful. And the line was only about 10 minutes. Several of the other stations by other restaurants were already empty by the time we made it out of the lines, so I cannot comment on what I missed...but for a $75 ticket it was a definite disappointment that I spent 75% of my time standing in line. I hope if this event continues next year they either restrict the ticket sales, or move to a different venue that can accommodate such a big crowd.
