The latter which I had yet to experience in Brisbane. Sporting four areas, the venue has something for pretty much anyone. On Saturday, it was bustling. Almost every table will filled (which is good going seeing as they only opened on the 19th) and amongst the couples and a friends populating the venue, there was one big family table having dinner. It diversity of the venue was comforting and reminded me of the English pubs I spent time in growing up. We had one quick drink on Saturday and tonight I returned to grab a quick dinner. It was quieter tonight, which suited what I was looking for. The menu, in my opinion, is spot on in size. Bat snacks, sharing sized options, sandwiches, sides and bigger plates. It's creative, but not over the top or complicated. I opted for the chip butty, because chips in bread. Come at me. The bread came filled with shoe strings fries, black garlic mayo and homemade tomato sauce. It was crisp and saucy and... bloody perfect really. Sitting at the bar (it's all bar service), I chatted to the bar staff who were just the right level of attentive. I asked for a glass of red to go with my sandwich, a slightly odd pairing, I know. My glass of Pinot was light, velvety and was the perfect match. For a venue that's been open for an entire seven days, they're doing something right. Wait, scratch that. Everything right.

The hotel is located right next to Indooroopilly train station, a short walk from the shopping centre. It's a big building, with several bars inside and function areas available. During my brief daytime visit, the service was excellent, the drinks were very affordable, and the meals were well priced and tasty. A great place for a quiet afternoon.

I have been to this place a few times for private functions and for casual drinks and have been satisfied with the place. This place is rather spacious and there are different sections according to your needs. There is a restaurant/ cafe area, a pub area and a function room which can be hired out. The place also offers $10 lunch specials which is always nice for those on a budget. The function room is very large and the place also offers catering. I remember finding the food to be quite nice, nothing special but nice as far as catering food goes. The service has always seemed to be pretty good, the staff are generally pretty polite and are all dressed in clean, respectable attire. This place is nothing too special but it is a nice option if you are looking for a pub or restaurant in Indooroopilly. The function room is also pretty good, it is nice and spacious and good for very large groups.

This place has a great layout but it's managed as two different areas. The bar area does not have any service and you have to walk up and the restaurant lacks ambience. The lighting is very bright which makes the food less appealing. Price versus quality is definitely in short demand.

Those claims are not completely false but this place deserves a little bit more credit. I came here for a birthday party and found the place great for the that sort of gathering. Ok, so onto the evening of my friend's birthday party; the room was spacious, there was wait staff at hand, plenty of finger food, and we got out own bar. For a party of 200 or so people (lots of family friends), this was perfect. I did not find the place to be very clean and the wait staff to be presentable. I guess people just like to bitch about suburban pubs because staying in your suburb is just not "cool". And even though I would never call this place "cool", there is not reason why you should not consider this place for your next birthday or function.

We wanted a dinner venue where we could catch up over a few cocktails, enjoy a good meal and catch a cricket match. Arriving around 7pm, the place was very quiet; the host said we could sit at whatever table we liked; he expected that it would get a lot busier as the night went on. Being somewhat tired of burgers and chips for dinner, my friend and I both totally loved the food here; everything is exceptional, and the menu has a nice, broad selection; it's easy to find a dish you'll like. Tip: Over and above some outstanding food, they have an excellent selection of locally brewed craft ales - just the ticket to enjoy while watching some cricket ;-)

For me, the $15 steak special is unbeatable, while my partner swears by the haloumi salad. So far everything we've tried on the menu has been well above average and the prices are always fantastic. The selection of beers on tap is impressive indeed. As I am usually designated driver, I stick to the Brisbane Pale Ale, which is by far the tastiest light beer I've sampled. They also have cider on tap. The average price for a pot is $4. On a recent visit my mate could not believe the value for money on offer. The Brewhouse has ample seating out back, along with an outdoor section. I'd avoid the Sports Bar. Service can be a little slow at times, but I'm usually very happy to sit back and relax with my beer. There is a handy car park in the rear. Street parking is almost impossible, unless you don't mind a walk.
