The place is so beautifully done with amazing vibes of the 50's with old time coke advertisements, an old school soda jar fountain, and the southern hospitality that brings a smile to my face. The staff were so sweet and friendly and made us feel like family. The food, WONDERFUL! Burger was cooked perfectly and super flavorful and my daughter loved her chili cheese dog. You know the chef knows what's up when they butterfly the hotdog to get it extra crispy on the griddle. The ice cream was amazing and we walked out there full and happy! Also was an extra perk that we got sodas to go! Thank you to the staff of L&R Soda Bar for giving me yet another reason to want to move to small town Kentucky!

Things started off fine with drinks and appetizers, but after that, the service slowed to a crawl. It took a long time just to place our entrées, and then we waited ages for the food to arrive. When it finally came out, three of our steaks that were ordered medium came out well-done. However, our waitress was extremely apologetic and did not charge me for my plate and another. I recognized her from my very first time here at The Depot, where she was also my server and provided an amazing experience! Even though she handled the situation graciously and we weren't charged, we were still finally leaving by 7:00 PM because of the extensive wait. I'm so disappointed because my first experience here was wonderful, I hope this was just an off night for the kitchen, but the pacing definitely needs improvement.
