Well, turns out that sign got hit by a truck a year or so ago and has been replaced. We learned this after juggling our agenda to come here a day later since they were closed on Sunday. The new sign is cool, but not vintage. But I do like me some snappy service. Years ago we went to a restaurant called Brown's Snappy Service. It possibly started some of our infatuation with places like this with cool signs and history posted all over the walls. We had burgers for breakfast at Ferrell's before 10 a.m. Because why not? The tiny cafe has about seven stools, and both staff and patrons were nicely hospitable and enjoyable to visit with. Also, turns out my dad was at nearby Fort Campbell for basic training, and that sparked some nice conversation with him once I shared where we were that night. Too bad more and more places like Ferrell's are disappearing.
