On a whim I decided I also wanted my rook pierced, so I scheduled an appointment for both online. First thing I must say is the website is very nice and navigable. You can schedule everything completely online (at least for piercings) and I was very pleased not having to go through some convoluted process to get an appointment. Because I technically had 2 appointments back to back, I had a longer time slot reserved. Despite this, I was grateful the initial booking down payment wasn't any more expensive. Nice. The place is chill and fairly lowkey despite being in the middle of downtown silver spring and Dennis, the piercer, did a good job swapping out my nose screw for a labret and piercing my rook. It was fairly painless and easy. So far both are healing nicely. The only (somewhat) negative is the pricing is really high (I paid around $170 for both combined) but I understand the economy is shit rn so, whatever, I have the money. In the long run it's not a big deal when you are going to the best in the Montgomery county area.

For my personality, she was too talkative honestly, I could barely get a word in about my actual concerns and questions. She did make me feel very safe, and the piercings are healing well. Not sure if it's because I already have some piercings, but she didn't go very in depth with proper care and things to look out for. No mention of a follow up either, so it left me with some questions but it's not a big deal. She is very knowledgeable so if you ask she will definitely tell you. Almost forgot to include this but the person I spoke to on the phone to schedule the appointment was quite rude, I saw a few other reviews talking about this too and it was my experience as well. Very short answers, exasperated tone and language, overall not a great first impression. I went through with the appointment because of the positive reviews about the piercer, but the person answering the phone could definitely scare people off.

My daughter wanted second piercings and we went with the needle piercing based on the pros of quicker healing, less room for infection, etc. However, when we got there we realized that the pricing we saw online was per ear, $35 per ear. Found that annoying but we were already there. They don't have a ton of options to choose from but on top of that you pay per ear for piercing and per ear again for each earring. They were pricey for literally a tiny stud w/cubic zirconia. The earring (stem piece) was a medium size, but long to allow for swelling after piercing. Told that after 30 days we could come back to replace it with a longer or shorter one. When asked if that was included, I was told it would be an additional $25 (probably for each ear too). Then during the after care instructions they mentioned the antiseptic spray, which almost seemed like it was included. Well no, that wasn't included either, that was an additional $20. They even mentioned getting a sports option for people who are active/athletes, which of course was an add'l cost. Even expected a tip, although the process was already expensive and literally three minutes long. My daughter also mentioned that the little pamphlet with post care instructions also said not to sleep on their pillow, and the company provided a link for purchase of their own. Really??? The piercings were quick and look good. And although I understand the employees don't set the prices, they can do a better job of delivering the information to the clients. I felt like I was being pushed to spend more and more. In total I spent $259, including a $10 tip, wasn't about to tip 20% on that. I'm okay spending money but I'm sorry, this is bordering on outrageous. And this is the reason for the 3 star review.

While I was doing the paperwork before getting pierced the two employees were very rude to me and my guardian. They made no effort to make me feel safe during the process. Both of them never made eye contact with us. Also, one of them was very uneducated on what to do. I asked for a "mid" which they told me was a cartilage piercing. The employee marked my ear and then proceeded to prepare the gun. During the piercing I was never told when it would happen she just did it. Afterwards I was unhappy with the result but felt so unwanted that I simply walked away in tears. The piercing was only on my lob and not even on the marking she had made. I would not recommend to anyone.

I emailed them to inquire & then easily set up an appt. t I never got through when I would call but they were easy to communicate via email. There was a mixup with my pharmacy to fill the Lidocaine & I didn't realize it until I went to pick it up on the day before which was a Sunday. Skin & Style was closed so I left a voicemail & sent an email. I got a call back first thing Monday morning & the rep was able to straighten things out with the pharmacy. I was able to get the prescription in time to prep my baby for her piercing. The actual appt was so easy & my sweet girl barely cried. The nurse did a great job in administering the piercings skillfully & swiftly. She even kept our baby relaxed which kept our group of 5 in good spirits ! (My mom & sister came to cheer our sweet girl on during this momentous occasion!). She showed my husband and I how to clean them daily & gave us the cleaning care package. While setting up the appointment, the questionnaire asked which ring I was interested in, and if I had any other requests. I specifically requested the ring that my girlfriend liked, and had a request to bring in 2 others to help me pick out the ring. I got a confirmation email, and radio silence until the day before the appointment. The day before the appointment, I was again asked what ring I wanted, and can only bring one other person to view the rings. Concerned, so I tried calling. This was when I learn that it is impossible to call specific stores. The number goes straight to a call center. When I asked if I can talked to the store directly to confirm that they have the ring I was interested in, they said the store would call me back same day. They never did. Finally the day of the appointment, about an hour before, I finally got a phone call from a less enthusiastic person, Emely. She stated that they had the ring, and I could bring two others. At this point it was too late and I already told my 2nd person they couldn't come. When I arrived at the appointment on time, Emely was not there until about 5 minutes later. Again with the lack of enthusiasm. She walked us to her desk, and showed us the ring we were interested in, along with a few other comparables. They only had larger size rings to show. When asking basic questions, we got a bunch of "I don't know" and "I guess" response. Really soured our mood when ring shopping. Finally when we were wrapping up, I asked if there were any number I could call if I had any questions. She said to just email her, but she was not responsive to emails before. The lack of enthusiasm and responses gives me concerns to purchase the engagement ring here.
