The nurse didn't believe my symptoms until the doctor corroborated my story. The billing office lost my check and claims I ignored their bills that I never received. I paid my copay 2 years ago at the time of service and didn't receive a bill until 2 years later. I sent a check and their office never cashed it. The old woman answering the phone told me I was ignoring their bills for 2 years despite the fact that I told her I never received anything til this past May which I sent a check for and now I'm receiving a final notice. She was arguing with me and talking over me and when I told her that I didn't like how she was speaking to me she said she won't be taking time to argue - although she had already argued and wouldn't let me speak. I won't be coming back. It's sad that quality doctors are buried in terrible offices with outdated systems and ancient people handling bills.

I really needed to find a doctor so I could get a check up and I found great reviews on this…read moredoctor. So I made an appointment for Sunday. I killed sometime in the area, then went over. The office is in a brownstone it looks like an the waiting area was nice. The Receptionist had me fill out some forms then I was on my way with Dr. Grishina. She was very nice and asked me the general medical questions & history. Then she gave me an overall checkup. She drew blood, which I hate doing but she was gentle and I didn't feel a thing. After that she told me when I get my results back she will give me a call. Which she did not too long ago. It's hard to find a doctor these days you can feel comfortable with and who aren't pushy or rude. I really like her and I feel good knowing I have a place to go to if I have an issue.

I came back last year and am so thrilled to have done so! I see Timothy Rausch APRN for my primary care. He is absolutely incredible! He always takes the time to listen thoroughly, never pushes specific treatment on me, and is all around wonderful. Tim's bedside manner is out of this world (in a good way)! He's seen me at my best and worst. Last summer, I had an anxiety attack while in his office - and he helped me through it, just by listening and offering support. To me, that means oh so much. Just a few months ago, there were issues getting my medication for my anxiety and other things. It was super frustrating for me and quite an ordeal! What did Tim do? He and I discussed other options for medicine that would be helpful for me. Just recently (a little over a month ago), both Tim and myself were able to find an alternative. At first, I was a little on edge about this medication. Tim didn't push me into taking it, he thought it was worth a try. Of course, Tim did this with good intentions. So now, it's almost a month later and this medication I'm now on has been working so well for me. He is highly intelligent and full of compassion, as well as knowledge and empathy! Tim works in an office where I'm always feeling at ease and welcome. Never have I ever felt anxious or disrespected by anyone there. His assistants are all so kind. The receptionists always greet me with a warm smile and a hello. Honestly, there are times where I feel anxious about seeing the doctor - but Tim is different than all the others I've worked with and seen. Something about him makes me feel at ease, as I'm in the greatest of care! I will continue being a patient of Tim's because there is no other doctor that can compare to him IMO. All around fabulous and I most certainly could not be anymore grateful and appreciative of Tim and the care I receive!

The next day he was in the Torrington hospital emergency room only to later be taken by Life Star to Hartford Hospital and put on a ventilator for 10 days. Ended up in hospital for 56 days. Dr. Szczepanski did not even recognize how ill he was the day prior to being hospitalized. My husband almost didn't survive due to his lack of care. Would never recommend him.
