Hobby Lobby you need to give Brandi a raise right now! I…read morehad a previously horrible experience at a Hobby Lobby in a different location. I needed new stretching bars on a canvas that I had ordered. Not only did the gentleman order the wrong sized bars in the first place, but he don't follow through with calling and he didn't put anything on the back to hang it with since I had also ordered a new frame from them. (A costly one at that.) In addition to no way of hanging this print up, I noticed that the canvas was very flimsy. It wasn't tight at all and in certain lights, it REALLY showed! I took it to the Sioux City location and Brandi noticed right away everything that was done wrong, (including the stretching bars being put on backwards! I went there hoping to have them put something on the back so I can just get it up on my wall to her literally taking everything apart and redoing it all! She spent one hour on it and it is perfect! I can not thank her enough for being professional, kind and just plain knowing her stuff!

It's a HUGE Hobby Lobby. Well, feels huge to me anyways. LoL It's a dangerous place for me. I can…read moreeasily spend 2 hours looking around and spend $200 even easier. And of course there's really nothing I NEED at this store...it's all want. Haha But their stuff is so cute! And typically there's sales and always coupons. The cashiers almost always make sure they have spare coupons to use on ya. But, speaking of cashiers, I don't always find them too friendly. I asked a girl for one of the bigger bags the other day for my 2 larger picture frames and you would have thought I asked her for a kidney. I never really needed to ask for help from anyone on the sales floor. I've just never needed assistance yet. (No fabric cut, frames made, etc.) Huge parking lot. Bathrooms are clean. Waaaaaay in the back if you're looking for them. I love their throw pillows.

One of the few anchor-stores left to the Southern Hills Mall. They didn't have their doors open…read moregoing into the mall right away once allowed to open 'post-Covid.' (They do now.) They are requiring masks. (Obv I'm writing this during Covid, but I know this location well. I didn't base my Stars off their Covid rules.) The hours differ from the mall's somewhat, which is great. They actually stay open an hour or two later on Sundays. They've also done several events for book releases and have had theme nights. (I've personally participated in some Harry Potter cosplay!) This location doesn't have much for seating like I've seen other B&N's do. The kids' area is fantastic. They do readings every so often. The bathroom has ALWAYS been a nightmare. Maybe all the mall people use it thinking it's going to cleaner than the food courts'? It's a mess. Every time. Has a Starbucks and some tables. Full Starbucks menu. But no online ordering or can't use Starbucks gift cards. Which I think is odd, but must be the rules when a location is inside another business. They have two spots for registers but they're never both 'open.' SEVERAL times I've gone to one side of the store hoping to pay to having to turn around and go to the other side. I get not having all 8 registers open...but why not at least 1 per side? Music area is small and kinda lacking, IMO. But that's me. (I think this location is smaller than the average store size. At least seems like it.) It's honestly the only place in town to buy books minus a Target or Walmart. There may still be one more store WAY across town selling books, but I can't remember if they're still operating.

I am a big fan of this store, but due to a recent event, I actually canceled my membership here…read more Basically, in 2018, I was able to price-match as much as I wanted to as long as I had the Membership. However, as of 2019, that is no longer the case. At the time, Best Buy had the Blu-ray of The Big Bang Theory on sale for only $14.99, but the Best Buy, Target, and Walmart stores nearby did not have it. Barnes and Noble did have it and that is the reason why I went to the store to try to price-match. It wasn't that the store would not do a price-match of that caliber (we're talking a discount of about $35-40), it's that they flat-out do not price-match anymore. As a member, this is deeply insulting, not to mention that price-matching should be a basic practice of any business in 2019. Even if you are not making the same amount of money or even half of that, it is sure better than doing nothing for your customers. If you're looking to buy movies and TV show seasons here, I would not recommend it. They are very overpriced. However, if you are looking to buy books, by all means, go for it! You see, I do like the store, setup, and the Barnes and Noble Cafe. It is the "anti-price-matching" that I am against. I should also point out that this store does accept Apple Pay now, so that is a big plus too!

I have no reason not to give Michael's 5 stars…read more I don't shop there often. If at all, really. I'm not a huge crafty person and if I'm looking for decorations, art supplies, and/or frames, Walmart typically has what I need, or Target. I used to scrapbook back in high school and I shop Michael's for supplies, but once Hobby Lobby opened I moved to that store. They just seem to have so much more stuff. Went the other day (Today is 12/13/19.) to buy a gift card for my sister-in-law. She shops Michael's all the time. I was in and out within 5 minutes and I even found a pack of really cute mini boxes to 'wrap' the gift card in. Pack had 2 boxes so I 'wrapped' a gift card for my husband to a restaurant he likes instead of just throwing the card in his stocking. Store was clean, uncluttered, and aisles were labeled. The cashier I had was really nice as well. I keep meaning to fill out the survey for her. I'll happily go back if I need to. Did not use restrooms. I assume there are ones open to the public. Parking lot is very close, but handicap stalls aren't. Which seems odd to me.

Too many situations in my life would be simplified if I had glasses instead of hassling with contacts. I didn't know where to go (and screw my doctor's office; their cheapest pair was $200! Cheapest!) but my Mom recently went to Eyemart and got TWO pairs of glasses for LESS than $100! I went to check it out. I found lens I loved almost right away. They have a huge selection, but it's organized well so I didn't feel overwhelmed. (I get anxiety in stores very easily. None here at all.) I saw a sale of 2 pair for $50, but I splurged and found 2 pair for $150 after a simple rebate that went straight through when I mailed it in. They were a little busy, so I had to wait about 20min for my turn with an employee, but by the time it was my turn I had my lens and what I wanted so the transaction process was quick. The employee didn't push add-ons on me after I rejected them. She also didn't make me feel rushed, stupid, and was insanely nice to me. I did pick some anti-glare and scratch per frames, but I was happy to pay the up-charges. The warranty was explained to me well, and I left feeling great. Less than an hour later I received a text that my glasses were ready! Took 2 hours from start to finish. My husband went a few weeks later and got a pair. I then bought some sunglasses and had my prescription added to the lenses. THAT was an amazing $50 spent. Yeah! $50! My eyeglasses shop for life. And you bet I'm recommending it to everyone.
