**DO NOT WORK HERE** I worked here for a few months and it…read morewas complete and utter hell. They completely over hire, making your possibility of hours nearly impossible, and there's so many people working you can't even begin to know your coworkers because there's a new person there every time. The managers are awful and completely rude and inconsiderate to anything but themselves and one really smelled like onions. I had state volleyball coming up, which you can't plan for because you don't know you if you go until you win. I had to work a couple of shifts the week of the tournament and I let them know I could not make it. Instead of being considerate and working with my schedule they told me I had a prior commitment and had to show up for my shifts, now why was it so important that I showed up instead or getting your other millions of unnecessary workers to help out? They then continued to tell me that if I didn't show up to never bother showing up again and I did just that because I hated that place. After my week of volleyball, they continued to call and harass me AFTER telling me to never bother showing up for a shift again. I eventually removed myself from the workers facebook page, blocked their number and email page and moved on with my life to find the best job I ever had afterwards. If you're planning on working here, DO NOT!!! Also, throughout my shifts they would send me the schedules via email and they were always wrong. I would get yelled at and scolded for not showing up to a shift that wasn't on the shift they would send me, they never would own up to their mistakes. Overall my working experience here was just was miserable. Mind you I was 16 at the time so this was traumatic to me, so if you're young please save yourself and do not work here, i'm also not the only one with this experience!

Hot Topic is a fun store. Sometimes it's a little overwhelming with all the merchandise they have…read morebut they have it organized well and if you know what you want-such as Disney or Harry Potter stuff-you can find it easily. Their clearance is usually a mess but isn't that the fun of clearance; digging for treasure? Only 1 dressing room I think. Maybe 2. They always seem to just have 1 register open. Don't know why. The reason I'm giving 4 stars is because I don't get very good service when I'm there. I never get greeted, never get asked if I'm looking for something specific, and the employees always seem to be chatting away with each other or friends that came to visit them. No offense to anyone, but I wonder if I don't get any attention because I don't really have the Hot Topic 'look.' I did an online order to be shipped to the store recently and everything was great. I ordered 2 shirts and so far only 1 has shown up, but it came quickly and that day the woman who took care of me was super nice. I assume she was a manager. We even laughed about her and my nails. I'll be back shopping in the store for sure. I have Hot Cash to spend in January!

I don't know if they get commission, but they sure have great customer service.

Hobby Lobby you need to give Brandi a raise right now! I…read morehad a previously horrible experience at a Hobby Lobby in a different location. I needed new stretching bars on a canvas that I had ordered. Not only did the gentleman order the wrong sized bars in the first place, but he don't follow through with calling and he didn't put anything on the back to hang it with since I had also ordered a new frame from them. (A costly one at that.) In addition to no way of hanging this print up, I noticed that the canvas was very flimsy. It wasn't tight at all and in certain lights, it REALLY showed! I took it to the Sioux City location and Brandi noticed right away everything that was done wrong, (including the stretching bars being put on backwards! I went there hoping to have them put something on the back so I can just get it up on my wall to her literally taking everything apart and redoing it all! She spent one hour on it and it is perfect! I can not thank her enough for being professional, kind and just plain knowing her stuff!

I asked a girl for one of the bigger bags the other day for my 2 larger picture frames and you would have thought I asked her for a kidney. I never really needed to ask for help from anyone on the sales floor. I've just never needed assistance yet. (No fabric cut, frames made, etc.) Huge parking lot. Bathrooms are clean. Waaaaaay in the back if you're looking for them. I love their throw pillows.

I'm not a huge crafty person and if I'm looking for decorations, art supplies, and/or frames, Walmart typically has what I need, or Target. I used to scrapbook back in high school and I shop Michael's for supplies, but once Hobby Lobby opened I moved to that store. They just seem to have so much more stuff. Went the other day (Today is 12/13/19.) to buy a gift card for my sister-in-law. She shops Michael's all the time. I was in and out within 5 minutes and I even found a pack of really cute mini boxes to 'wrap' the gift card in. Pack had 2 boxes so I 'wrapped' a gift card for my husband to a restaurant he likes instead of just throwing the card in his stocking. Store was clean, uncluttered, and aisles were labeled. The cashier I had was really nice as well. I keep meaning to fill out the survey for her. I'll happily go back if I need to. Did not use restrooms. I assume there are ones open to the public. Parking lot is very close, but handicap stalls aren't. Which seems odd to me.
