The care I received from all employees that I interacted with during my stay was exceptional! A special shout out to my attending nurse (Mr. Alex P.) and the employee that prepped me for the procedure (Ms. Sandra)! Excellent care by these two employees. And I can't say enough good things about my cardiologist (Dr Mueez Ahmed). My cath. was negative and I was discharged that evening. My recovery has been good and I owe this to the care I received at this facility. Middle GA. Is very very fortunate to have such an excellent facility as Navicent Health Luce Hrart Institute!

I was making monthly payments on the account then I get a text message from alliance collection stating that my bill was put into collection when I was making payments. I then call atrium because it would not allow me to make or even get a code to sign into my account and I was told well at the bottom of your bill there is very small fine print, You probably didn't see it that if you don't pay the balance in full then it will get sent to collections well, why would they put it in very small fine print that I probably missed unless they want us patients to fail so they can put us into collections so instead of still taking my payments as I was doing every month, they just threw me into collections and I had to pay the full balance in essence, taking money away from other things that I had as a budget so they could get their full payment when they were accepting payments, their policy is absolutely ridiculous and they need to update that.

I bought all my radiology reports and scans taken the prior week. Dr Grahl has additional X-ray taken. X-ray report did not show anything so Dr order blood test. After blood test nurse I was free to go but to make an appointment for my shoulder. Appointment was for Monday May 20. Dr Grahl never examine my shoulder. Has he bothered to do so he would have seen it was swollen. All he did was read the X-ray. He never touched me. Is this what patient care is about now. I asked if he can give me an injection or something for my pain. He said come back Monday. I was I such pain when I left. I could barely make it home. I had to go to Urgent Care the following day and they saw the inflammation immediately and prescribed Methylprednisolone 6 day pack as well as giving me an injection. Dr didn't care enough to do anything to relieve my pain. I will not go back. And these are what Specialists have come to.

The staff is overwhelmed and hard at work, but is that a good enough reason to have an ER yet never know whether or not you'd come back alive if faced with an uncertain fate. To see a human being gasping then withdraw and gush out the last breath, with everyone running and rushing to accommodate other patience, is disheartening and I'm never looking at life and health care the same way. I'm not sure what needs to be done, but I'd AVOID this area if faced with a deadly decision! I was secretly in tears hearing people cry out of agony and yearn for help. Under staffed facilities are a growing threat. THIRD WORLD COUNTRY issues in the United States. A truly sad day in 2021

I went to the emergency room at Coliseum MC and was admitted that night and the surgery done a day later. There is no way anyone can say that being hospitalised and having surgery was an enjoyable experience. At least not in my opinion. But the doctors and staff at Coliseum medical centre made this at the very least a very comfortable stay and I felt very safe as far as the virus was concerned. I was on the 5th floor. The nurses, the phlebotomists and the entire staff on the 5th floor are nothing short outstanding. The hospitalists and the entire medical entourage were very professional, competent, and attentive with regular visits, inquiries and updates before and after surgery. The surgery was performed with robotic assist by Dr. John Thomas Williams. I am looking forward to my final visit with him so I can personally thank him for his excellence. I am 73 years old and I've had 3 other laparoscopic surgeries without the benefit of the robotic assist. This stuff is nothing short of amazing in regards to the amount of pain after surgery. From a medical viewpoint we are living in the "good old days". Being hospitalized and having surgery could never be called fun. But, the attention rendered by Coliseum Medical Center, to my comfort, concerns, and condition were all attended to with excellence.

Macon Coliseum N.S. is being penalized by Fed Gov for high infection rates. April 20, 2016: 17 year old patient ACQUIRED two forms of RESISTANT BACTERIA (Serratia Marcescens - a U.S. Navy Biological Weapon AND Staph) DURING SHOULDER SURGERY at Macon Coliseum N.S. Hospital. Patient began running a high fever (up to 103.6) within 36 hours of surgery. Patient was taken to Macon Coliseum N.S. Emergency Room due to horrific shoulder pain at the surgery site and a high fever where the ER nurse made an error while administering his IV. The ER Nurse then proceeded to administer a dose of morphine underneath the patient's skin which allowed the patient to remain in agony for an extended length of time. The ER Nurse finally administered a second IV dose of morphine (again, underneath the patient's skin), turned out the light in the patient's room and instructed the patient to calm down due to his extremely elevated blood pressure. She left the patient. The patient suffered until a SECOND ER nurse checked on him and noticed the large lump of morphine underneath the patient's skin. Nurse 2 corrected the IV error and administered a 3rd dose of morphine which gave the patient some relief. The ER physician ordered a dose of intravenous Bactrim antibiotics and released the patient without obtaining a tissue sample from the surgery site. Several days later the patient was hospitalized for 8 days at Navicent Health for a resistant bacterial infection & emergency shoulder surgery was performed in order to cut out the bacterial infection from the patient's muscle tissue. The patient was treated by Infectious Disease and discharged with a PICC Line to continue two IV Antibiotic treatments - Rocephin & Vancomycin for 6 weeks. Several weeks later, the patient was rushed to the local ER with excruciating abdominal pains, hospitalized for 3 days in order to perform emergency gallbladder removal surgery, bile duct surgery and a biopsy that confirmed liver damage CAUSED BY THE SUPER ANTIBIOTICS. Lab tests confirmed damage was consistent with the use of Rocephin & Vancomycin IV antibiotics. The 17 year old patient will now struggle for the rest of his life with a 30% mobility in his dominant right arm due to inadequate healthcare services in addition to organ loss/damage. Macon Coliseum N.S. was one of many Georgia hospitals being penalized by the Federal Government for a HIGH RATE OF INFECTIONS which patient's are not made aware of when they elect to have surgery at a high infection facility.
