My husband went to Piedmont North because he passed out at home and was very sick. When we arrived at the ER I kinda had doubts about it, but we needed to see a doctor quick. I will say that the ER was an ok experience. No issues there and they seemed to know what they were doing. They admitted my husband with pneumonia. When we got upstairs the day nurse and staff was amazing. Very nice and very helpful. Dr Riley that was assign to my husband seemed ok. The problems we had was that the night nurse was not very nice. We called a nurse to come in and help my husband up to go to the bathroom, waited quite sometime. Then I decided I would help him myself since no one was coming.( I had been helping him all day) and the night nurse came in fussing at me telling me I could not get him out of bed. If she had come in to do her job I wouldn't have to do it for her !! Also, they did not bring my husband any dinner that night I asked the night nurse if she could get him a tray and she said no they have quit serving. I said so what does he do, starve? She said I can get him a sandwich tray. She brought in a plastic container full of carbs. I said he can't eat this he's a diabetic. My husband had no food that night to eat. I asked to talk to the person in charge. After about an hour this lady showed up and she pretty much could have cared less if he ate or not. That's an area that needs working on. This Hospital is not to my liking That need to do Better with customer services especially when you're trying to get in touch with your family member and the phone is not working. Why would they put someone in room and the phone is not working tired of calling with the same iproblem but keep transferring the phone call to the patient room they need to either go figure out what going on with the phone in that room or move the person to another room. this situation is not professional at all but I keep telling them like they don't get it so for me it's 2 thanks read more

I saw Dr Grahl at 10:50 on Wednesday, May 15 for chronic pain in my shoulder and lower back. Nurse explained they couldn't examine both due to insurance regulations, so I choose my upper shoulder as it was causing most pain. I bought all my radiology reports and scans taken the prior week. Dr Grahl has additional X-ray taken. X-ray report did not show anything so Dr order blood test. After blood test nurse I was free to go but to make an appointment for my shoulder. Appointment was for Monday May 20. Dr Grahl never examine my shoulder. Has he bothered to do so he would have seen it was swollen. All he did was read the X-ray. He never touched me. Is this what patient care is about now. I asked if he can give me an injection or something for my pain. He said come back Monday. I was I such pain when I left. I could barely make it home. I had to go to Urgent Care the following day and they saw the inflammation immediately and prescribed Methylprednisolone 6 day pack as well as giving me an injection. Dr didn't care enough to do anything to relieve my pain. I will not go back. And these are what Specialists have come to. read more

A person died while on the bed, while waiting to be seen from a long line of ailing desperate patients. The staff is overwhelmed and hard at work, but is that a good enough reason to have an ER yet never know whether or not you'd come back alive if faced with an uncertain fate. To see a human being gasping then withdraw and gush out the last breath, with everyone running and rushing to accommodate other patience, is disheartening and I'm never looking at life and health care the same way. I'm not sure what needs to be done, but I'd AVOID this area if faced with a deadly decision! I was secretly in tears hearing people cry out of agony and yearn for help. Sent me home to die blood pressure runs through the roof and head doctor doesn't want to treat. Do not come here!!!!!

Background: I am a nurse but with that being said, I have never had any surgery and have never been on the "other side" as a patient in a hospital setting. I always hear about nightmare scenarios and experiences but I have absolutely zero complaints about my experiences. The nurses and staff had an genuine positive aura. Not once did I get that feeling that I was a burden, nuisance, or that they would rather be anywhere but work (which I know they would rather be at home). Everyone I encountered wore a smile and was friendly. They eased my nerves about being a patient. Procedure went smoothly; they kept my family members updated the entire process. Pain management was well controlled. I even received a phone call the next day to see how I was doing as well as a thank you card that was personally signed by my surgical team. Again, I have absolutely zero complaints, not even from billing and finances. I understood my costs prior to the procedure and they were able to set up a payment plan within a matter of minutes on the phone. Whatever y'all are doing, keep it up! read more

This is lowest rating I can give. I am a 71 year old retired ICU just so I know sick people!! I slipped in shower hit my head and had a huge knot on forehead with small Bloody cut. Hear hurt front and back. Neck hurt knee swollen. NO triage just given an armband and told to go sit down. I know I needed Head and neck CT. Could give no time estimate. Gave them back armband and said would call ambulance if got worse. Disgraceful read more

We took my grandson to the pediatric Er at this location. The wait was only minutes. The pediatrician was so nice. All the staff was nice. The less nurse was so good with my grandson. Very clean and it was an easy visit. read more

They ask me to arrive at 715 am but all the doors were locked to the diagnostic center. The sign reads open at 7 am...

A truly horrible experience. My mother had surgery on March 7th, and while the surgery center and recovery teams were impeccable, the third floor nursing left much to be desired. I truly believe had my wife and I not stayed the night, my mother would not have survived. There were great people there including Salathiel, Jessica, and Mirage that night, but otherwise it consisted of rude and immature staff adept at ignoring patients. 45 minutes to answer a call button? A woman with with a neck brace vomiting violently due to no one listening to the fact that she can't take morphine? My wife having to catch the vomit in a pan because no emetic bags were ever provided? Nurses rolling eyes when asked for help or anti nausea meds? The order for said meds being forgotten for two hours? No heart monitor at any time? Yes. These things actually happened. Thank God that a nurse from another floor heard me pleading for help and investigated the situation and helped us out. The following morning, the care did improve, but dear God we felt totally alone that night. My advice? Avoid if you can, but if a loved one must be there, do not leave them alone. read more

Spent 5 days at CNH for Congestive Heart Failure for Mom. Staff extremely attentive and caring. ER was one of the best/easy experiences ever. Thank you to all the nurses, techs and docs for making this tough time a very good experience! Don't want to come back, but if necessary, we will be back!! Hugs to all of the 3rd floor staff.
