First off, the name of this company is an absolute misnomer. The company should be called "Piedmont Dustfull Blasting" or "Piedmont Dust Bonanza" or "Piedmont Layers of Dust". Last week, we had this company come to our office to remove paint from the brick walls of 3 conference rooms, 2 bathrooms, and a kitchen. According to their website, they use a process which minimizes dust, and we expected them to be professionals who knew what they were doing. This was far from reality. It turns out, the blasters did not close the doors to our floor, and did not properly seal each room while blasting the paint. This resulted in our entire office and common areas (hallways, staircases) covered in thick layers and clouds of dust. It looked like an apocalyptic wasteland from Mad Max when I entered the floor. If only Furiosa had been there to regulate. There was so much dust, that our elevator broke down several times due to smoke sensors, and we had to call the fire department to reactivate the elevator. The city will unfortunately be billing us for these visits. The blasters made an attempt to remove the dust, but there is still significant dust on floors, furniture, electronics, window sills, walls. They left footprints on furniture, and the brick walls still have dust on them. Our sinks are filled with dust and will not drain properly, so we'll need to pay for a plumber to fix them. Dust also entered other floors above and below our unit, and we now have to cover the costs of cleaning our neighbors' floors. Most surprisingly, they somehow got dust into the refrigerator! I just can't even. I. Really. Cannot. Even. Yesterday, we had a janitorial staff come to do an assessment of the space, and they were completely shocked at the state of office and the health hazards of the dust. We will now have to pay thousands of dollars to have the place cleaned of dust. We'll also have to pay to replace furniture that cannot cleaned and any broken electronics. The workers themselves were very nice, and I mostly fault their boss, Mike, for poorly training his staff, poorly communicating how the job will be completed, poorly ensuring quality + health standards. Stay absolutely away from this company, or expect literal headaches from dust, additional thousands of dollars for clean up, and damage to your belongings.

We asked Michael for a quote to remove the paint on the vaulted ceiling beams. He warned us that if it was the coating is latex glossy, paint removal will cause a raised grain. When he came over, he determined that it was not that kind. We agreed to his quote and his crew began work, and then he informed us that it was actually glossy paint. His worker worked from 10-5 and left without locking the door or closing the garage door. When I texted him to let him know this, I also communicated that I was worried that the project wouldn't be finished in 2 days as previewed. Michael said, "I don't work well under pressure. I do the best I can with the situation I'm presented with...,I'll clean up and in the morning and leave". What?! We did not expect this reaction. I had to calm him down. He was going to abandon the job because I expressed concern. Although he apologized the next day, we were bewildered by his over-reaction. The job was done correctly by his one worker. We paid $5200 for 17 hours of sandblasting to take off the paint from the beams.

All of the paint was carefully removed from these beams. The steel connections show now!

I called max Thursday and he sent me a reasonable quote along with his insurance, data sheet for the closed cell spray foam R30 under the deck. Usually you have to send multiple emails to get something scheduled but they scheduled it for the Saturday. The 3-man crew worked in an organized manner to cover everything fully. That is usually my biggest concern. They meticulously tapped down plastic to protect the windows and floor. Max was happy to resolve concerns I had on the roof vents before they began. They went room by room even isolating the foam with plastic enclosure so we could enter the other areas safetly. They worked diligently and cleaned up fully. It was a stress free and effortless transaction as it should be. I will hiring them again. Keep up the quality standard. It's essential for success.

When I eventually saw the huge dust cloud from my second story window I came down and stopped the sandblasting and called All Bay Dustless Blasting & Coating. I was told that they used to do dry ice dustless sand blasting, but no longer. I asked about the name of the company and was told that they can name the company anything that they want. I am now dealing with three neighbors who have complained to me about their cars, landscape and homes being covered in dust.

EBS are two young guys with a sandblasting truck who seem like friendly people but make a royal…read moremess. Super stressful. They do mostly commercial jobs. DO NOT use them for residential work. Last week EBS sandblasted the walkway up to my front porch and the front porch floor. Their prep up on the porch was minimal. Literally all they did was tape off the front door. They didn't plastic off the porch which would have been easy since it's a stucco bungalow. They didn't have the second guy on the hose to keep down the dust. I meet them in the morning, go off to work, and my neighbor messages me the attached photo of his car which is like 30' from the job. Absolute disaster. They didn't tape off the mail slot and sand piled up in it and our house got dusty. They didn't tape off the vents to the storage crawl area under the porch, everything got so dusty. The worst thing is my neighbor's entire yard and house got so dusty, it was really gross, their new car got dusty, even the house two doors down needed the porch swept off. Eew. My neighbors truly and rightfully are upset with me now. I paid them $250 per hour for a two man crew, half of that (half of four grand) was spent trying to clean up the royal mess of old paint dust mixed with ground glass. Moreover these fools didn't prep me at all in terms of what to expect. I could have prepared my own house and given my neighbors a heads up, or decided to wait until a better time. Do not use these guys under any circumstances. This is my first Yelp review ever, it's not really my thing, but I feel compelled to post this one: EBS is bad news.
