I found this place in city market in Savannah. I was so impressed I have now eaten in the Pooler location 2 other times. I have taken them home to reheat. I was not a fan of the cookies but HUGE fan of the meat pies. They only have beverages (soda, pop or coke depending on your part of the country lol) in cans or bottles. My grandmother was born and raised in England, and makes both sweet and savory pies for every occasion. I thought I liked those pies before trying Pie Society, but these are on a whole 'nother level! Everything I've had here is to die for. The crust is perfect and flaky and the fillings are spot on every time. You can actually taste the ale in the steak and ale pie. Delish. Pie Society is off the hook brilliant. Had a homemade sausage and apple pie for breakfast - tasted the quiche my family ordered - all of it best in class. No factory food here. We had to try the desserts, even though it was breakfast. Warning Will Robinson! The Banofee pie and Banana cake will undue the most powerful willpower. read more

My wife and I visit Scotland on a regular basis so when I heard of BPS I got all giddy! And, its on a route from Asheville we take regularly. (Less than 5 off I 95 in pooler ga). What I was hoping for was baked goods as good as Greggs. We I got was something far, far superior to Greggs! The steak and ale pie was wonderful as was the pork pie (should have had some brown sauce, but I'm not complaining) the cheese and onion pasty was HUGE and delicious. The sausage and apple roll was mind blowing! Savng the curry pasty and the other half of the beef pie for lunch. Stopped in for a bite while heading back home and happy I did. These were honestly the best meat pies I have ever had. I got the steak and mushroom pie. The meat was tenders and the crust was SO flakey. Grabbed some of the pork and blu cheese pies for the road. I'm hoping the rest of the package, like the staff and such, are just as up to par as their food. A bit pricey though. Wouldn't go there super often since it's not the healthiest or cheapest option. British pies hit the apot. My hubby had the steak and ale pie and I had the pie of of the month which was loaded baked potato. This taking L was delicious the crust was definitely handmade from scratch. You can see them making their pies and the dough behind the countertop. We also had a variety of shortbread cookies can the shortbread cookies are made in the traditional British Way! Everything was delicious.
