Boyfriend and I come here all the time and we love it so much. I feel this place deserves the recognition. Friendly staff, delicious ready to go savory pies, abundant tea choices, a whole range of desserts from sweet pies to shortbread cookies in several flavors. Not to mention a huge selection of British goods: candy, sauces, juices, tea. Also shirts and other merch. Every pie I've gotten here has been amazing. Warm and dense crust- perfect for dipping in whatever delicious sauce is in your pie. I always seem to gravitate toward the beef options and I've never been disappointed. I can always get full off of one pie- sometimes I don't even finish, but I am sort of small. Big appetites can be fed here though because they have such a range of options. Staff won't hesitate to help you decide. I see why England drinks their tea hot. It's so soothing. Even a girl born and raised in the south can do some hot unsweetened tea any day of the week. But do not fear, you can add cream and honey and sugar if you wish. If you're a bit scared about trying something new- don't be. Chances are their pot pie is better than your grandma's. I very much wanted to love this place. I have been in a couple of times. The first time was shortly after they opened in Pooler. Their hand pies were quite good. Then a few months ago I stopped in to get some pies for dinner. I bought the Steak and Ale pie and an Apple pie. The crust for the Steak and Ale was delightful. Thick, flaky and sturdy crust for a meat pie. I personally thought the flavor for the pie was good just a bit too salty. Husband didn't like it at all. The Apple pie didn't fly with either of us. The crust wasn't what I would want for a fruit pie or did the pie have much flavor. I am still willing to give them another go. read more

This place looked really different, and we wanted to try some savory pies. We ordered a chicken curry pie, a steak and ale pie, and a pork and apple pastry. The pork and apple pastry didn't have much taste; we kept adding salt, and it still tasted bland. The steak and ale was really rich and delicious. Ordered a Cornish Pasty to-go. The girl working the counter and cash register had a hard time fitting it into the white paper bag and ended up smashing it into the bag, which broke off lots of pieces of the pastry onto the counter and broke open the pie causing some filling to seep out into the bag. When I got home to eat it, I found that there wasn't much solid pieces of potato, meat, carrots or peas, but just a bunch of liquid filling. read more

This is our first time at pie society. We ordered for pies for the four of us. Steak and kidney, chicken and time, chicken pot pie, and shepherds pie. Each were excellent their pie crust is perfectly paired with the savory feelings. It's a very filling meal for the smalls size for one person. The preparation and method is authentically British. Very tasty! Stopped in on way back home from traveling from Asheville back to Tampa. We got a small chicken pot pie and steak and potatoes. They were so delicious. Too bad there isn't seating outside. We did scarf it down quickly in 98F weather! That's how tasty they were. We couldn't eat inside because we're traveling with our dogs. The pie was flaky and a bit dense like a biscuit. The fillings were great. It was a bit salty but we don't cook with a lot of salt. It may be a normal amount for a savory pie. We arrived on a chilly Saturday and selected our pies. I had steak and ale and my adventurous husband wanted steak and kidney. They were out of hot steak and kidney so he had steak and mushroom. One bite and you are totally comforted. The insides were so good and hot with the flakey crust. It was just perfect. I wanted a scone and clotted cream for dessert but was just too full.
