However, as we enjoyed some libations and a bit of pool... we were the ones joining the locals with eyes filled with awe and curiosity! This place has gone downhill. Food is not as good or as plentiful as it once was (read small…read moreportions). Now days they really try to nickel and dime you for everything little thing and they are sneaky about it too. For instance, when ordering a burger and fries they enthusiastically ask you if you would like anything to dip the fries in; what they don't tell you is they are going to charge you extra for that. That's right, an extra charge for mayo. This is unacceptable and is not the norm for most other restaurants. But this sneaky charge is their daily practice. I have personally seen this many times and now only use the ketchup on the table. At no point do they disclose the extra charge but yet they ask every time if you want dipping sauce which is just dishonest and certainly not hospitable for a business in the hospitality industry. On my last and final visit to this Buzz Inn my guest did ask for mayo for their fries and they even charged us for the mayo, but it never made it to the table. We assumed since it did not show up, we would not be charged but they did in fact charge for mayo that never arrived. They also charge a transaction fee if you use a credit card which is just not acceptable in todays day and age. Should we also pay an electric fee, or maybe a garbage fee, or dish fee? Or maybe perhaps the owner should pay their own bills?? I look forward to the new restaurant that will take over this space when this Buzz Inn location closes in 2027 as they don't get along with their landlords either. The ladies that work at this location are just downright mean to their customers. There is definitely a us (staff) versus them (guest) mentality. I have overheard the staff speak very negatively to and about the guest and other coworkers. After my last trip here, I am done and will not be back, after many, many years of going here.

The lady who answered was so helpful explaining the food to me and answering any questions of mine. But the food.......HOLY SH*******T it's so damn good. I ordered a pizza (the spicy Hawaiian but exchange pepperoni for the Canadian bacon it's so worth it!) and I ordered a house salad with ranch. The pizza was a 12 in medium with so many toppings it had to be 2lbs on its own! The salad was perfect, nice cool and crisp. The ranch dressing however is ABSOLUTELY PERFECT it's house made not store bought and it's seriously so freaking good. If come back here just for the salad with ranch even if everything else was crap. When I called to order they said should be ready in 20-25 minutes. I showed up 15 minutes after my call and it was ready and waiting. So not only was the food absolutely delicious and the bartender (the one who took my order) was so incredibly sweet and kind, but they were so fast! The speed also didn't affect the quality of the food either, you expect a pizza done that fast might be undercooked, but it's perfect. Nice crispy bottom still soft on top cheese fully melted. I'm completely hooked on this place now and will be going back often. I'm also excited to go back and have a drink there some weekend night and see how the bar seeing itself is. It looked great honestly, like the perfect dive bar except a lot more on the clean side for a dive. It has a very home town feel rather than a club vibe, and it's far bigger than it looks from outside as it takes over 2 of the buildings there and also has a back door to an outside seating and patio area. It was our goto place to bring the kids, get something we could all agree on, and reliably have a great experience every time. Pretty bummed the Ribeye and baked potato are gone from the regular menu. Those were my favorite things to get. I've also had the prime rib many times at Hawkeyes over the last couple of years and it's been great. While my first/last to-go order a couple months ago had a pretty unfortunate misstep, we returned tonight to see if they'd worked out the kinks from the change in ownership. Sadly our experience tonight was much worse. My wife's meal was wrought with issues.. her soup was completely forgotten and never arrived before the entrees showed up. Her mid-rare prime rib showed up extremely rare and even after sending it back to be brought up to the requested temp, it came back looking exactly the same very rare doneness which she was not willing to eat. By the time I finished my salad and cut into my prime rib which was ordered rare... I discovered it was completely blue. I am someone who loves a rare steak, and basically never send a steak/prime rib back unless it is inedible or completely well done. I've probably sent back something once in the last 5 years .. and this may have been the most under-done steak/prime rib I've had at a restaurant ever. The host/wait staff were gracious, and made attempts to try to rectify the situation but by this time my kids were already done eating, and I wouldn't have the patience if my wife's food needed to be sent back a 3rd time or mine a 2nd. I did appreciate their offer to take the prime rib's off the bill. It's a huge disappointment to see things slip so much for what used to be my favorite local spot.

Service is just unbelievably sweet and friendly and they clearly know their way around a drink menu. In long Not what you'd expect in Snohomish, and that's very much to its credit. It's a nondescript little building with no signage at all. You can probably roll a wheelchair in over the transom, though the sidewalk is a little slopy here. You open the door, push aside the curtain, and wait for your eyes to adjust. Super dim inside. The bar is right across from the door, flanked by 2 seating areas. Antique furniture and wall art, going for that 1920s look and doing it very well--while also keeping it comfortable for long sits. The crowd isn't trying to match the period clothing or anything, it's just a bunch of fun younger Snohomies hanging out and drinking cocktails. The bartender hands you a menu of a dozen and a half cocktails, mostly vintage, vintage-sounding, or using vintage ingredients or techniques (e.g., 3 different offerings with egg whites). Prices are fair enough, and they bring out your drink when it's ready. Vintage-looking glassware--cool! There's another big room past the bar, lots of Edison bulbs here and there, but not so many as to create even a hint of glare anywhere. There's a washroom in the far corner, definitely big enough to be accessible. Now I can't remember whether there were grab bars. The ceilings in here are all different heights, most covered with pressed tin. Nice effect. There's one window that hasn't been covered, so a little natural light gets in. It was kind of fun trying to imagine what kinds of businesses might have been in here before it became a speakeasy. There's a staircase to a small loft office space. Overall, if you're antique shopping or just out and about in Snoho, this is a good stop and you should check it out at least once. Really nice vibe. They allow outside food--one table ran around the corner for pizzas and brought them back in. I'll come back for sure.
