Amazing photographer! We worked with Lindsey about 8 years ago when we were first engaged and took our first trip to Paris. Our pictures were phenomenal and we have them all over our house. 8 years later our family and friends are STILL in love with the pictures so it was a no brainer to ask Lindsey if she would photograph us again. I do not know where to begin with how great pictours paris is. This may be a long review but I hope it helps you make your decision. First of all, I am the type to RESEARCH all over before booking anything. I contacted at least 3 photographers before booking my session with Lindsey of Pictours Paris and Lindsey had the most reasonable prices and packages and great quality photos, which is basically all that I was looking for. The other photographers were almost twice as much as Pictours Paris prices and half the time for the photo shoot. I was drawn to pictours paris because Lindsey had great communication via email (I live in USA) and was willing to customize our package and accommodate our price range, a wardrobe change and to do day and night shots. I was amazed by her flexibility. We paid her through paypal, which is very reliable for both ends. The second thing about pictours paris that blew me away was Lindsey and Charles Gilman's working relationship. There is no other photo company that I found that included full hair and makeup prior to the shoot. Charles (makeup artist) and Danielle (hair stylist) are an awesome duo and were such a pleasure to get to know as they did my hair and makeup in our tiny Parisian hotel room. The prices are completely reasonable and the work was beautiful. I have to add that I would give extra stars if I could because of Lindsey and Charles last minute accomodation to change my photo session date. I was literally boarding the plane to Paris when we all decided to do a last minute change because our original session had a forecast for a rainy day, so we changed it to the day that was going to be 76 degrees. They were so accommodating even with their busy schedules. The actual photo session was the best part of our trip to Paris (better than the louvre, versailles, and other site seeing we did). Lindsey was so personable, we felt like we knew her for a long time. the photo session was like a walking tour because we visited so many of the beautiful hot spots, but Lindsey knew where to go where it was less crowded to get some awesome engagement shots. I suggest doing the photoshoot early in your trip plans because it gives you a good idea of where the monuments are and Lindsey can give good tips from a local perspective. She also recommended eating at Verjus, a restaurant that her husband works for. We had the 7 course dinner there which was the best meal I have ever had. It was pricey, but totally worth it. We also did the picnic at the end of the tour. Lindsey's chef husband prepared some delicious quiche, and we had wine that was paired with some delicious cheeses right by the eiffel tower. We topped it off with some delicious dessert. It was a wonderful dinner with a beautiful backdrop (Eiffel tower at sunset). This is a new add on that Lindsey and her husband are providing. It's a great ending to a wonderful 2-3 hour photo session. Last but not least, I just received our photos via drop box and I instantly posted them on facebook. My facebook and cell phone blew up with compliments about how beautiful my engagement photos turned out. Some compliments included, " these photos look straight out of a magazine!," and "I'm obsessed with your photos." Sorry for the long review, but I just wanted to give you details on why pictours paris deserves 5 stars. I always use yelp to find places to try, but have never written a review. This is my first one because I just felt like Lindsey, Charles and Danielle did such a wonderful job to make our engagement photo session a memorable and fun one. In fact, I only found out about it the morning of our shoot. So, I can't say how the planning phase was but it appears everything went well. Lindsey was very professional and thoughtful in so many ways: - She made sure to hold onto our bags while taking our photos, which you don't really think about until you're there and the last thing you want to do is set your belongings down in very public places. - She knew exactly where to go and what she wanted us to do. She gave great directions to us and made us feel very comfortable. - My boot broke in the middle of the photo shoot while we were walking from one area to another. When I first decided I wanted to surprise my fiancee with a proposal in Paris and have it captured in photos, the process of figuring out location, time and booking a photographer was a little daunting. I had never been to Paris before and had never booked a photography session. Lindsey made the process easy and recommended several scenic locations with minimal crowds on a Saturday evening (including wisely talking me out of wanting to propose after dark, due to photo quality limitations). The fact that she was a native English speaker was icing on the cake for me. The proposal and subsequent photoshoot were captured flawlessly under blue skies with the Eiffel Tower in the background and my fiancee was beyond happy. Lindsey even offered to snap photos of us with our cellphones so that we could quickly share the news with friends and family. I highly recommend Lindsey for any photography services.
