    Blueberry Real Fruit Ice Cream
    James M.

I came to the Picnic Café for a snack while walking through festival market. I had their Blueberry Real Fruit Ice Cream to start off. The ice cream was soft served yet tasted very natural, having that balance of fruit and ice cream. I also had their Iced Spanish Latte and was flavourful. It had a nice amount of foam and really enjoyed it on ice. I really wish this business was closer to where I live, so I could try their other edible concoctions, like their croffles. I will definitely be coming back to the Picnic Café when I am in Harrison again.

    Nice picture spot

Best ice cream place, I definitely come back on town just for that. The icecream is tasty and fresh, highly recommended. The service is great, a big smile all the time, my husband and I feels very welcome.

The interior of the business looked like it was a kitchen and bar from the mild lighting, the sophisticated décor and the spacious layout of the dining area. Even for a coffee house, they have a large selection of baked goods and sandwiches to choose from that you would take a moment to think about what you would order. I ordered the Bacon Breakfast Waffle Sandwich with the Cappuccino with oat milk. The sandwich was very good with the waffles being flavourful on their own. The Cappuccino was fantastic, tasting consistently palpable. I also had their Almondine Croissant, which I found fresh, crunchy and tasty overall. The service was pretty proficient as well, where they use a beeper system to call customers from their tables. Although, they do call your name sometimes too. This business is a hotspot for special events as well with a bulletin board in the back telling you what is happening. So, the Blue Moose Coffee House is a highly recommendable place to have breakfast, lunch, a take-out meal or just to socialize. I look forward to coming back to this place.

Cold in Every Possible Sense…read more My experience at Lakeside Restaurant was profoundly unpleasant, not because of a single mistake, but because of an overwhelming atmosphere of coldness--both literal and human. The dining area was uncomfortably cold, to the point where it detracted from any ability to relax or enjoy a meal. Patrons should not have to keep their coats on indoors to endure a restaurant experience. This alone signals a lack of basic consideration for customer comfort. More troubling, however, was the emotional temperature of the establishment. The service was distant, indifferent, and unwelcoming. There was no warmth, no attentiveness, and no sense that customers were valued. Interactions felt transactional at best and dismissive at worst. Hospitality is not merely about food; it is about atmosphere, care, and respect--none of which were present here. A restaurant situated by a lake should evoke comfort, warmth, and hospitality. Instead, Lakeside Restaurant felt sterile, uninviting, and inhospitable. I left feeling unwelcome and eager to be anywhere else. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone seeking a comfortable, welcoming dining experience.

All the premade food tastes & have the quality of a complimentary breakfast at a hotel. There are limited options & an omelette bar. Breakfast items quality is not the freshest & options of baked goods looked very unappetizing. We asked to be seated outside, & the view early that morning was gorgeous & peaceful. Our waitress was really sweet and patient. I'd say being outside in the sun & enjoying the view saves it. I didn't finish any of my plates & felt sick after. Right when I get to my room after breakfast, I had to puke. Was really hoping the breakfast was gonna elevate our hotel experience but did quite the opposite.
