The staff were so sweet and friendly, as I asked if I could possibly be able to use their bathroom and they so kindly let me into their little shop! I ordered their Peanut Butter Cup Bun and Chocolate Peanut Butter Mud Pie Bun ($5.75 each). I love peanut butter so I felt like I really wanted to try both. It was definitely peanut butter overload (my mistake for choosing 2 very similar flavours - oops)! The regular peanut butter bun is their original bun with peanut butter icing, and I quite enjoyed this flavour combination. I've never had peanut butter frosting before and I loved it. The chocolate peanut butter mud pie is a chocolate dough (without cinnamon) but with chocolate and Oreo crumbs. This was definitely VERY decadent and sweet. While their flavours were good and the buns were huge portions, I found them both to be on the drier side and the bread is more dense. I prefer my cinnamon buns to be more soft (and supple hahah) and on the fluffier side. Still love that I got to try out these buns and got to support a small business!

Almost everything comes in half or full. I can't imagine anyone finishing a full meal here - their slogan is "bigger is better" and they really mean it. None of us were able to finish our meals and were left with the perfect amount for dinner later that evening. I ordered Whole Wheat toast with my breakfast and I'm not kidding when I say that it was the best toast I've ever had. I love my fruit cake, however, I eat gluten free, therefore, it's hard to find a GF Christmas cake. The cost of these fruit cakes are a very modest and reasonable at $12 for an actual aged rum fruit cake. In addition to gluten free they also have vegan. Just a heads up that these guys will not be here in 2015, therefore, if you happen to get down to the fair this year pick up a pre-order book and it comes with a coupon. Even though it's mid November it officially feels like the holidays with my fruit cake. These cakes are 5 lbs each. I bought 2, therefore, if anyone was planning on attacking me on the way home my fruit cakes were heavy enough to be weapons.

They have a large selection of different flours, including gluten-free flours (however, I don't believe they have any certifications for being GF, since there may be cross-contamination, so not good for those that are super sensitive) like millet and buckwheat. They have blends available too, for multi-grain pancake and waffle mixes, or even healthy hot cereal mix. But there's more than just organic flours! They have bulk dispensers of everything from quinoa to lentils. They have dried fruits, and nuts, and all sorts of things to add to the baking you'll be doing when you get home with all your fancy flours. For those that need to cut down on refined sugar, they have large jars of agave syrup. In the freezer you can get chia bread and other pre-made items. Staff are nice and helpful, but be warned, their products are not cheap, so you may end up spending more than you planned.

We walked in and were greeted with a cute little interior that sold coffee, some croffle and cookie treats, and New Zealand style fruit soft serve. I ordered the blueberry ($7) soft serve and it was swirled fresh in front of us. The taste was good. It reminded me a lot of other fruit soft serve places I really like and it tasted sweet but not overly so. Yum! However, the presentation on the other hand ... as you can see from the picture, it does not look very appetizing - haha! The portion wasn't too big either. While the staff was nice, she didn't seem to be too confident or sure of what she was doing. That's alright though!
