I stopped by at this pickleball club last month for an open play. It was a random find for me, just looking up indoor facilities on Long Island. I called the front desk and the staff were able to fit me in for a time slot that had openings. It's been a hot minute since I've been on Long Island; I had forgotten how deep Melville actually was...lol Literally on the border of Nassau and Suffolk. This location had a large parking lot that was shared with the other businesses adjacent. Inside, the courts feel pretty big, with plenty of room on the sides and back to maneuver and run for difficult shots. Court surfaces are smooth and well maintained and the facilities are very clean. Ceiling height was adequate for most lobs to be successful. People I played with were mostly friendly and competitive. One thing I was not expecting was how old the demographic here is; my estimate, the average age in that time slot I played in was 55-60. Nevertheless, this was a nice facility to play at. I don't know if I'll ever go back though because it's so far out of the way coming from Queens. read more

I've started playing pickleball a year and a half ago (Nov '23) and took a beginner clinic at the Nesconset location. Ian S was the instructor and he has elevated my game as I continue to sign up for drill sessions and lessons with him and then put my newly acquired skills into practice in the numerous scheduled open play and special events (tournaments, holiday themed parties and their excellent "Play with the Pros" sessions) The facility and staff (Andrew, Eric and the front desk) are extremely friendly, knowledgeable and willing to share their considerable expertise. I've played at most of the facilities on the island and always look forward to playing at Pickle N Par due to the space, cleanliness and most importantly, the people! read more

I participate in a third shot drop clinic with Andrew last week and after the clinic had a lesson with Steve. This place is a team of awesome employees that start from the front desk right onto the courts. During my lesson with Steve Andrew also had a lesson on the court next to us and Stephen and Andrew combined lessons so that we could do drills in real time play. Amazing experience! One of the best places to play pickleball on Long Island. Clean, modern facility with very helpful staff. Steve is exceptionally nice guy and Griffin is a very good instructor. Highly recommend this place (and its sister location in Smithtown), especially if you are just starting out playing. read more

Funnn spot!! We are members of a club that has Pickleball but it's only in the day, so we needed a place to play pickleball in the evening and on weekends. Loved the place, you can rent paddles if you don't have any and get a hang of the game. It's a super easy game and a great workout! I went in for a sneak preview today and met with Andrew the manager, and I have to say, I am SO EXCITED for this spot to open! They have 4 full, indoor pickleball courts, a couple of virtual golf rooms, a putting green, and even ping pong. The space is beautifully, newly built, and in a gorgeous new building too (which currently houses Saf-T-Swim and Push Fitness- and a juice bar Fitrition- to open soon). They not only offer pickleball court and golf simulator reservations, but also lessons/clinics and will even host private events. Super amazing staff and very clean facilities. Courts are all spaced apart with plenty of space to maneuver and hit balls. Temperature is well controlled and there are beverages on site to be purchased from vending machines (in addition to snacks). Very reasonably priced and a great time with me wife and kids. read more

Love this facility. Clean, spacious, and staff are super friendly. They actually use regulation size courts which are amazing. Play in a beginner and intermediate open recently and people were super friendly :). Have played doubles and singles here with wife and older kids. read more

Pickle N Par - Sports Clubs Near Me - Melville, New York

I tried it out as a guest. The courts themselves are great. It's still a relatively new establishment so it's still a work in progress. Padding is needed on the pillars near the four courts.padding on the back walls wouldn't hurt either. The lighting is a bit glaring but certainly more than acceptable. Netting between each court to prevent stray balls interrupting other games would be advisable. No showers yet, but supposedly will be. Pool looks very nice. Can't comment on the golf simulator since my interest in golf is . Outdoor season will soon be over, so expect nice action on the courts. All of the above issues are being addressed. Played last night and it was excellent. Andrew is a doll and goes all out for everyone. Wonderful demeanor! Love the music in the background. See for yourself and give it a shot.
