More user friendly and just better user experience and modern overall! The place is nice and clean, has a bar/restaurant for food or alcohol for purchase if you'd like. Otherwise, they have a bottle refill station with cups for free. Came on a Thursday night around 9pm(?)ish and the whole place is lit like a library. I mean it's nice and safe, but would be nice if it's some colors and moodlight than those bright white light. Made the reservation online which was pretty easy but didn't the $5.50 convenience fee which was about 20% of the reservation fee for like an hour bowl. then another $12 for two pairs of shoes rental making an hour bowl nearly $45..

The course is short, sweet, and refreshingly unpretentious. It's perfect for first-timers, rusty returners, or anyone who thinks golf should come with laughter and lake breezes. The staff is friendly, the pace is relaxed, and the whole experience feels like summer in a nutshell. You can do two rounds and pay an extra $6 for two rounds.

The first has been moved by a LOT & the 2nd by multiple feet to the left (impeding left handed teeing), and then the third also slightly to the left. The 9th tee box has also been moved by multiple feet to the left, towards the fence line, seemingly prioritizing a cart path for the owner's work cart. The current owner may not have played at the old pitch & putt enough to realize these changes are in fact CHANGES, but they should be able to open their eyes and realize their new maintenance crew isn't lining up the box to the hole. Also, anyone with eyeballs can see where the old tee boxes were, compared to where they are now. Stop trying to gaslight me. The placement of the rubber tee being on either side of center hole in the mat is NOT standard. Why is there a center hole if it's not going to be able to be used? At the driving range the center hole is used too....I have a relatively narrow stance & straight hips - I feel sorry for anyone that doesn't, because they're going to be falling off the mat. Nice job blaming your problems on the previous owners. ORIGINAL REVIEW: This 3 par golf "course" has new ownership as of 2025 (due to some incompetent person at the city). The course condition was atrocious & it's only May. The first three tee "boxes" are not even slanted towards the holes. The person who positioned these tee boxes must not even play golf. On hole two a left hander wouldn't even be able to tee off without immediately hitting into the trees that line the edge of the golf course. These "new" tee boxes are literally just mounds of uneven dirt with a slab of fake grass NAILED down on the 4 corners. These mounds are not level & they don't seem to have pounded crushed rock beneath the surface, so I can't imagine them not washing away every winter. The nails that held down the tee box are 8" long and on one hole the nail had come out of the ground and was sticking up for anyone to severely impale themselves on it. The rubber tees that are used with the mats are put on either the left or right, not in the center hole?! Again, whoever put this set up together must not play golf. You are practically standing on the very tip of/ edge of the mat when teeing off, instead of being able to center yourself because they positioned the rubber tees incorrectly. Anyone that is larger or has a wider stance, or more curvy hips will have a problem. The greens....OMG. WTF happened?! They look horrific & are in REALLY bad shape. The worst greens I've ever seen, anywhere, even comparing to miniature golf courses. It's an embarrassment. Before you play they make you sign a waiver releasing liability for their negligence - luckily these sorts of waivers often don't hold up in court when/if someone gets hurt by their negligence. Watch out for those 8" metal NAILS on every tee box. The pricing went up. The person who took our money is in no way shape or form a part of the maintenance squad and had no clue what I was talking about when I first explained my complaints. Don't you want someone who knows about golf to take the money & be able to fix things like loose 8" nails??! Why oh why did the city change ownership??

The parking lot is really small and you might have better luck street parking if it gets busy.

This is generally their position on everything, including furniture we're still paying for. It was about 8 p.m. Neither kid had ever been to a climbing gym. We walked in with no equipment, no plan, and the vague confidence of people who hadn't thought this through. "Hey, my kid wants to climb," I announced, apparently believing this covered the necessary introductions. Enter Lana. Some people can make you feel welcome. Lana can make you feel like she's been expecting your family all evening and is delighted you finally made it. She immediately reassured us that they loved having first-timers and that the kids would have a great time. Day passes, simple waiver, climbing shoes. Within about five minutes, our children were on a wall. I've spent longer trying to get them out of the car. When Lana noticed they wanted to climb beyond the bouldering limit, she offered to get them into harnesses so they could try the taller walls with ropes. She's an instructor, and it showed. Engaging, patient, informative, and so genuinely enthusiastic that my usual parental role of imagining every possible disaster briefly became unnecessary. Both kids made it all the way to the top. They were laughing and having an absolute blast. We had walked in wondering whether we even belonged there and somehow ended up watching our four-year-old ascend a building. What really stayed with me was how easy Lana made the whole experience. Walking into an unfamiliar activity with two kids can feel like arriving at a dinner party where everyone knows the rules except you. She took away every bit of that awkwardness immediately. Liam, who helped us at the end, was wonderful too. Everyone we spoke with was warm and welcoming. The staff here deserves every bit of praise we can give them. If you're new to climbing, especially with kids, go in and ask for Lana. This was one of the most unexpectedly wonderful experiences we've had as a family, and we'll absolutely be back when we're in Seattle. We came to look at the lochs. This location is at a busy intersection and there's a lot going on in the area which adds to the character. The venue is large with several axe throwing sections, a bar, seating and a stage for bands. Speaking of bands, outside on a netted trailer, there was a live band playing some very cool rock music. We listened and even danced a bit. They were pretty good and I knew most of the songs played. Axe Kickers is a fun venue with a lot of spirit and would make for a fun evening out.

I surprised my hubs on his birthday by taking him to Blade & Timber for axe throwing! We had a…read moreblast! We went on a weekday at 2pm so it was not crowded. There was another group there and the co-owner Van gave us all a brief but thorough throwing and safety training and then gave us throwing tips throughout the time we were there. He was a great coach and had a good sense of humor. It takes a while to get the hang of axe throwing so don't give up if the first half hour doesn't go as well as you'd like it to go. I felt we both really hit our stride during the second half hour. My hubs and I both hit the bullseye three times each! And this is only our second time throwing axes. Highly recommend this place for a fun birthday celebration, friends night out, or work team building activity. It's so much fun and you just might be surprised at how much you enjoy throwing axes!
